  • the best video for VT ever made

  • I thought this advert was great, just like the classic western films.

  • racist, they shouldn't have built the lines in the first place!

  • this is so stupid because their basically saying their train can only go as fast as a horse and the mans great big idea is underlining! someone give him the nobel prize. And then the waiter giving FREE food in the advert when if you go on it its pretty pricey. Well thats Virgin for you lol

  • Should've used the HST as the getaway train.

  • I know who the Indians are! The 6 dislikers!

  • Really a cool ad. Hopefully the US will eventually get quality rail service.

  • ads are not so supposed to be common sense or predictable - they're to be remembered!

  • ...

  • o.o wow people dont realise how offensive this really is, they dont see the hidden meaning.

  • Shows how slow Virgin's Voyagers are, if they can be caught up by a horse!

  • HST's are much better!

  • horses cant run 125 mph fool

  • wierd thats a great way to advertise there trains "go glassgow on one of our trains ya get attacked by indians"

  • Anyone who's ever got a train on the Airdrie to Glasgow line will look at this advert and think "Yep, that's happened to me!"

  • @QfromAirdrie lol

  • How ironic, Native Americans in The United Kingdom.

  • lol at the cyclist - that outa show him for being eco-friendly!

  • This was filmed behind my mothers house. Still have bow and arrows that were used on the set.

  • This was filmed on the Weardale Railway in County Durham:

It came as something of a shock to local people to discover that a 4-car Virgin Voyager train was sitting on the line at Eastgate.

Weardale Railway staff and volunteers have been very busy helping and facilitating the crew work which has continued throughout the week... With nearly 8 million pounds worth of train sitting there it should be no surprise that there is a considerable force of extremely large, fit security guards on patrol

  • I often get this trouble with Virgin Trains, im sat drinking a cuppa , doing work on my laptop and then red indians attack my train! i have to explain to my boss why im late becuase of them!

  • Reason 75 why you shouldn't go by Virgin: You get attacked by Red Indians!

  • why do specific train companies need to advertise themselves? - the service is defined by where you are going. You have no choice of train operator. There is no competition.

  • i loved this when i first saw it :D

i remembered thinking at the time, but we dont have native indians to england lol

  • train attacked by indians - best headline ever!

  • Absolutely histerical!

  • this is probably one of the most offensive ads I have ever seen! How did they get away with this?

  • Probably because it aired in the UK and not the US.

  • i remember reading in the paper how the only native american living in britain got offended and demanded it be banned.

glad to see they ignored him, stereotyping of minorities is what british comedy is about.

  • @scoobyman800 you racist git!

  • @scoobyman800 Yup. I can just see the advert for Virgin Money...oh wait. That's never gonna get to air :O

  • errh, shut up you american

  • What was interesting about this video, was there wasn't a pantograph, so it would have been suprising if a real life pendolino would have gone above 0mph.

What's even more strange is virgin felt the need to take a diesel voyager train, and stick pendolino windows in it - is this train snobbery?

  • if you freeze the video at around the 00:55 mark, you can see the VOYAGER style doors, proving you right that it was indeed an altered Voyager, and not a Pendolino.... how strange!!

  • I think it's because they couldn't really film on a the West Coast Mainline as it would have been busy - but they wanted to use a pendolino because it's relatively common knowledge that they're better - and so they'd want customers to think of the pendo rather than the voyager. However, it would have been too costly at their location to set up a pantograph for a short stretch, so they would have needed diesel traction. If only real voyager windows were like that though...

  • ok, thanks for that, it makes alot of sense :)

  • Hilarious!

  • love this

  • This is my favourite advert EVER, so funny and unexpected.
