  • good to know your turntable still plays! do you have it connected to an amplifier? i know the real old ones don't have built IN amplifiers but the cheap new ones do. the old one i had would connect it to the back of my old surround sound receiver that had a built in amp. so it would play loud thru my speakers, but if i connected it anywhere else it wouldnt work the old turntable had no built in amp. so how do you connect yours?

  • @vitaman31 Its a portable so its all built inside it..... IT folds into a big suitcate with the speakers on each side.. Spent over 100 dollars to get it working great again but it was well worth it. The guy who fixed it couldn't believe how good the amp built in it was! He was amazed at the sound. But yeah if your gonna use just a turntable you will need a reciever thats designed to handle the lower phono output or you will need to buy phono amp and hook it up to one of the other inputs you

  • @togermano oh i had something like that in the early 1980's a kids portable turntable it was red and plastic and foldable and carryable i took it everywhere and listened to my vinyl 33rpm small kids records. i know about the amp issue. most modern receivers dont offer a connection for phonograph aka turntable. what is a phono amp though? is that something i can connect to a modern receiver's input RCA input jacks in back?.

  • @vitaman31 Yes it will boost the signal up and make it sound normal on recievers that dont have the phono input that is one you can get cheaper ones at radioshack i think

  • @togermano well wish i knew that my old modern record player a cheap plastic one i got FROM radio shack. i threw it out since when i would connect it to my modern receiver, it wouldn't work. would not hear the music at all very very very low signal strength. right now i am listening to my old vinyl on a crosley system its a 4 in 1 system it has a turntable and cassette player and AM/FM radio and mp3 input connection with built in stereo speakers. as for my old fisher turntable its gone now.

  • where did you get the Vinyl at? also what record player turntable are you using? no offense but it sounds warped the LP.

  • @vitaman31 Hello dear it doesnt sound so good because i record it with a cellphone but if it wasn't it would sound amazing its a USA made record player from the 60s which would run circles around any of your today expensive though cheaply made chinese made pieces of shit

  • @togermano Dear huh. LOL i had a record player from my childhood it was from 1970's a Fisher steal construction record player. played great for 30 years even got a new needle for it, but the balance of our house is off and the player would Grind or make a grinding sound when it was spinning a record. so i had to trash it. but yes i know about Old record turntable players. Now i know why it sounds warped its the phone i guess how it was recorded :)

  • @vitaman31 fisher made some great stuff i'm hopefully will be buying a fisher reciever that has tubes in it hopefully soon. I have about 3 other videos of it working the one with sinitta toy boy sounds amazing even with my video phone recording it
