It was the fact that in his travels between Texas and D.C. for congressional business, he did what every other rep. does and went first-class instead of coach. BIG DEAL. He STILL returns many thousands of his congressional office budget back to the treasury every year and I don't know anyone else who does, though there *may* be another. Rand Paul gave back $500,000 this year from his budget.

@treez78 Sure. :-) Simply put, we are all human. We will all have disagreements time and again. It's the nature of the beast, however just because we don't like something doesn't mean we have to embrace it or support it. Per example, I'm not into any religions, really not a fan, thus I don't support them in any way. So they are free to continue doing whatever without me imposing my views on them. If it helps them, who am I to tell them to stop, (unless they knock at my door). ;-) LOL

The best diet is too just eat like vegies, meat, carb type meals and then some cardio.. Well rounded meals that are NOT heavy in carbs. Here in America there's such a focus on carbs. You CAN eat fast food just find some place on earth that has vegetables.

Every now and then, a free thinking pastor of a small church (the government only messes with the small people; big people get bailed out), speaks some home truths. The IRS in turn stripped the church of its 501c3 status. Pastors support the wars. Anti-war voice might cost them 501c3 status = Compromised criminal endeavor.

Santorum is doing well amongst many conservative christians,but since most voters in the GOP primary are probably christians and since Santorum is running in the polls way behind Romney,Paul and(in some polls) Gingrich in South Carolina christians must not be going his way.

@sleuth51 I'm a Ron Paul supporter so obviously I don't support the wars,but the use of drones and other weapons of modern war is unfortunately well within what is considered acceptable by the political mainstream. It has very little to do with religion (which,by the way is what we were talking about)but is an part of modern warfare. I don't agree with it,but Bauer is hardly an aberration,nor is it peculiar to some religious people.

She is persuaded that "we've got to fight them over there to keep them from coming over here". For instance the iranian regime is truly evil and possibly desirous of exporting that evil so the negative reaction to iran is understandable. I never once susgested that all of the movement toward war with Iran is legitimate. I don't favor warring against another country merely because they oppresss their own people--but Iran does oppress its people and any regime that is hostile to its people's freedom is evil.
