I love this song... and I've been doing a lot of thinking about my ED lately, and I think that this is why I have it, so that God can bring beauty out of the outcome, not the ugly monster of anorexia and an emaciated body. I am thinking of telling my doctor.

For years and years i have been other peoples sponge. I take their problems and draw them inside me and obsess over them for hours. I find ways to fix them, and solve their problems, but I've never been able to confront my own. This song is beautiful and brings a lot of things, both good and bad, to the front of my memories. My life, in a word, is hell. I have a great life, why cant i be happy with what i have?? It's so hard to let all the troubles go......... i don't know if i can.

this song is about eating disorders,yes, but it is also about a girl calling out for God's help in this issue. I think though that some of the images in this video don't fit.

@artistamanda1 Please don't attack people for how they perceive this song. Everyone has their own right to hear the message differently-you said it yourself. Regardless of my own opinion, I take into account that Superchi[k] is a CHRISTIAN band that was singing about eating disorders. They were actually singing about how finding hope in god's word and HIS presence in their lives allows them to heal (not by miracle but by hope for a better life). But I can see how you saw a broken heart.

@hardhard002 "Courage" by superchick is about eating disorders. But seriously? "fools"? This song could mean differently to some people, and to me, it's talking about how there can come out good from a bad situation;how God brings beauty from pain to us. :)

I love this song. I have no problem with them being a religious group. It's just bothersome when my friends who showed me this song tell me that GOD has plans for me. GOD GOD GOD. Believe in GOD or you're going to hell.

I know Superchick is a Christian rock group, but this song can be taken a couple of different ways. Like; I don't hear the Christian message at all.
I plan on killing myself to this song and will that it be played at my funeral.

"after all this has passed, i still will remain" and "after i've cried my last, there'll be beauty from pain" means that after whatever crap they're going through in their life, whatever storm is going on blows away and they watch it go into the distance, they can look at what came out of it and realize that God was with them through it all and never let go, never gave up, never doubted. "you will bring beauty from pain" says God will bring something good

People keep saying I like this, but Im not religous or I like them, but they are Christian. What makes these artists great is having God in their lives! What makes them something different, what makes their music so beautiful and comforting is having the wisdom that comes with accepting Christs love and growing in relationship with him. If you really like who they are then give Christ a chance, let his love shine through you like it does with these singers.
