lol at luke. While I like your style tim, it would be nice if you did a 'luke'. i.e. be emotional rather than modeling barry norman's reservedness. It's more fun to watch! I think you've only done 1 luke, and that was for speed racer.

Oh come on, it wasn't THAT bad...

I mean, the special effects were pretty to look at, and even how bad the acting was (Brendan Fraser is now more cartoon like than human like) it wasn't very long until another action scene.

My impression is very few people found redeeming features in this movie - you are one of the lucky ones! I just couldn't enjoy the action, because the points I mentioned were just bugging me too much. It would probably also help to watch it with a good crowd - the audience at my screening felt fairly hostile towards the movie by the end!

Fortunately the trailers for those films seem to give a pretty good indication of the content - which allows us to give them a suitably wide berth! I would have rated this film lower, but I knew I should leave a bit of room in the scale for things like that, should I ever have the misfortune to see one.
