  • I think the degree of security in China varies vastly across cities/towns. The larger cities are definately alot safer but there are still smaller parts of China where you will openingly get held at knife point to hand over your belongings. Theres still a significant amount of petty crimes, like pickpocketing but far less violent crimes.

  • @darkyetbright: The numbers today don't reflect the history. Several decades later, if you see many more Morrocans in Brussells than European, would you categorise Morrocans were teh inidgenous ppl in Belgian rather than Europeans? Is that simple enough 4 u? Uyghurs have out-bred the local Han ppl in recent history due to their world-renounced birth rate, and Han ppl's reluntance to deep the place as Han Chinese heartland. & Tibetans ARE Han Chinese, by modern DNA research, except 1 gene/

  • @darkyetbright: Learn real history instead of liberal/NGO propagandas! Han ppl were in XinJiang for>2000years (seeHan Dynasty map) when it was part of Han Empire & the START of d SILK ROAD. Han ppl is one of the REAL & MAIN indigenous ppl in Xinjiang in REAL history.So-called "Indigenous" Uyghurs were not there until merely about 300 years ago.WHO are d real immigrants?! The reason there're more Uyghurs than Han TODAY is bcuz Han have never wanted to move there in mass due to its harsh climate.

  • How about the anti-Japan mobs that occur semi-annually? You know, the ones where they break the glass of Japanese restaurants, smash Toyotas, or so forth?

  • @charizardpal

Is it semi-annual? Find a link for the last time it happened.

Also, in my videos I speak in broad generalities - empirically Asia is safer than the Americas and has a dramatically lower rate of violent crime. That's what I'm referencing.

  • @charizardpal Is that semi-annually, or is that like.. the anniversary of the. you know.. Japanese invasion? I live in Shanghai and that day was... EXTREMELY quiet... its a day marked with sadness not 'rage' as you suggest.

  • "The supposed reason of Western civilization is obviously limited to a tiny group of intellectuals"...

Wait, what? You just listed a handful of developed countries where people are riotings against their own government for what you call welfare programs. The rioting part? That's democracy. It's in response to legislature in the US and England that is ending/killing Student Loan programs, Scholarships, and so on.

Are the students logical for rioting, or "illogical" for rioting?

  • @charizardpal Anti-Japanese mobs only occurs when there's an extraordinary event, last time i know of was when Japan allowed textbooks to be used that erased japanese atrocities commited against china during ww2.

  • Correction. They do attack strangers. Ex genera, Xinjiang = not Chinese. Not a Chinese territory, non-Chinese native population.

  • @darkyetbright

Like Chinese people attack the Uyghurs?

  • @Ksabrs45

Yes. During the riots AND in principle of occupying XinJiang and TIbet generally, which as you know, were only recently taken as Chinese territory by force of arms.

  • @darkyetbright

Yeah, I've never been to XinJiang and I don't follow the situation very closely. Its not really my thing. I'm skeptical than another Central Asian Republic independent of Beijing would be economically viable - given the track record and political stability of the other nations and populations.

I'm really talking about the safety of being in Han China compared to the urban US.

  • @Ksabrs45

Fair enough. China is safer than the US in general. For me, I don't believe in realpolitik, so financial viability isn't an issue, but self-determination is high on my list of priorities.

  • @darkyetbright

Everyone voting on what everyone else will be compelled to do, like, declare independence from China and form a new republic - and be subject to its laws (without the option to leave), is hardly SELF determination unless we're blurring concepts and equating a group of people to an individual. It sounds like you're a Race Nationalist - the race in this case being Uyghurs or Tibetans - where race is the quality that the new nation will be formed around.

  • @Ksabrs45

I think more of culture than race nationalist. But these blur. I simply take issue with one foreign group dispossessing another native group. This is just barebones colonialism-- which what we see in TIbet, XinJiang and Isreal. Non-native peoples intentionally eroding the natives, using either religious (The Promised Land), strategic (saftey) or false historical pretext (Tibetans are Chinese), when it is really just self-interest at the cost of another.

  • *sigh* Two more semesters...

  • @CatholicBoy10

    Are you coming to Beijing?

  • @Ksabrs45 Yep, I've been set on it for quite some time now. It's just a matter of finishing my degree.

  • @CatholicBoy10

    Are you actually Catholic?

  • Comment removed

  • @Ksabrs45 Hmm, just checked this vid and it looks like my response isn't showing. Anyways, not really--it's an old screen name. Keep up the vids!

  • That was the best rant I've heard in months.

  • @zuiprax

    Thank you.

  • Can you expand on your analysis and comparison of the two political systems? (social democracy vs. single party state capitalism) thank you!

  • @Decentralism

Maybe.. I probably wouldn't be rigorous enough to do the topic justice though.

  • I'm from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where some of the flash mob news is coming from. It didn't just happen at the state fair- there was an early occurrence where "whites were targeted" (local news' viewpoint). I know one of the people who was attacked, she was quoted on the news as well.

This is only making all the news-watchers in Milwaukee completely terrified of virtually half of the city, since this city is very segregated.

  • Ksabrs, do you have any option on Shanghai in general in comparison to Beijing? What specifically about Beijing entices you?

  • @SanguineBullet667 *opinion* (not option)

  • @SanguineBullet667

I'd move to ShangHai but for now Beijing is the more attractive choice - all the people are in Beijing and I already know the city.

  • @Ksabrs45 I just started watching your videos. I want to know what you think of our president. Personally, I dislike him. He's done too many things wrong

  • @IbombYourAss

Thanks for the question. I don't think about Obama - generally speaking.

  • @Ksabrs45 What about our country as a whole - where do you personally think we are headed, in terms of future wealth/living/governance

  • @IbombYourAss

Thats a pretty big question, suffice to say I think the US will wind up like a dysfunctional South American country for maybe a decade to a generation. Maybe something like Argentina.

  • @Ksabrs45 Thanks for the quick replies. You've earned yourself a new subscriber.

Personally, I feel the dollar has outlived it's life expectency, and before 2016, it's value will fall. I don't mean hyperinflation, but I do, however, mean a very, very bad inflation. 20-30 percent at least. Bonds will probably become worthless, and people will lose their money. I don't think people will riot, but I do think that the country as a whole will be incredibly depressed. More than just emotionally.

  • "Work or die" Excellent!

  • @DUZCO10 I was thinking about this work and die comment in the video and what you say here. But being in China i have noticed a lot of people are homeless and poor. Now its all well and fair to say work or die if your healthy and intact. But i just want to bring to your attention if your limbless or disabled in some way, with no family or money. I think in these circumstance it might be very difficult to get work and no one will help you. Then what?

  • When the European Welfare States eventually do break down and there is just no more money to be had, what we are now experiencing in London will not bear comparison to the firestorm that will ensue.

  • @MagnusNielsenBewick Tell that to Sweden. You cannot use the failing economic system of Britain as a representative of a whole realm of economic thought.

  • So when do you think the song " Born in Singapore" will debut?

  • I loved it when the Libyan or Iranian gvt said about riots in London: "these are peace full demonstrators, the government is attacking their own people. The security council should intervene"

It is indeed a quite ridiculous situation, most people are still very calm like the current twilight zone can last forever. When I try to convince them, they still look at you as if you are offering an alternative solution where no problem exists.
