  • is the top comment a fucking joke????

  • @viktorhat BECAUSE WHITE SUPREMISTS SUCK????

  • Its about energy, lyrics and connection !!! Music is energy !!!

  • @viktorhat I see, people like you are ones that I can actually understand other than the rest who are just like "you suck, faggot, blah blah blah". Thank you for understanding me, I understand what you mean.

  • @viktorhat I didn't say I "hate them" really. It's just I don't understand how so many people can like them so much, because I really don't see potential in this band. That is my opinion, and I honestly respect other peoples opinion about them. If they say they love them, and they are great, then I respect that. If they get to speak what they think about them, then i believe I should be able to also. I have nothing against you UNLESS you bash me with hate comment which everyone else does. :P

  • THey look like Jock Punks to me...jock straps and football helmets come out of the guitar cases.

  • shibbbe be beastfucker you have No shhiibbe bebullshist concept of good punk rock so shut the shibbe be butt fuck up

  • ... NYHC ...

  • ... NYHC ...

  • Make me want to do a no-comply off the closest loading dock!

  • ahahahahaha "I piss on your cheeks as I shit on your name" or something lol that bit at the end made tears roll down my face x-D as for Shibbydidoodaabeast or whatever the fuck your called the whole point of punk and hardcore was a reaction against boring heavy metal bands that focused too much on longwinded extended solos and put no energy into their performances. It's people like you that turned me off metal, I have respect for the bands themselves but the fans are so closeminded....

  • @ShibbiZeBeast808 go back to your metallica videos you faggot.

  • any1 knows what's song in the end ?

  • cro-mags

  • true hardcore!!!!

  • gettin older I realize that this shit 's getting better every day. There was no band like cro mags and there never will be. It's not about musicianship (I play blues and jazz sometimes so I can compare) It's something else I can't describe...

  • WWEEE GGGOOTTAAA KKNNOOWW!!!!

  • @ShibbiZeBeast808

    I agree

  • @ShibbiZeBeast808 shut the fuck up cro mags are the shit u just wont understand this kind of music.

  • @Spitfire995 And you don't understand music. Period :D By the way, work on your grammar.

  • @ShibbiZeBeast808 shut the fuck up with grammar i can spell perfectly well, im not writing a job resume or a SAT test in college its the internet its called abbreviation u dumb fuck, and if u say that ANY genre of music is talentless that means YOU dont understand music. keep listening to ur emo pussy music till u die, but kno this cuz, ppl like u give real hardcore and metal a bad name, they automatically think its some pussy longhair music.

  • @Spitfire995 Good boy. you can spell. Emo music?? Fuck that lol. PROTEST THE HERO, VEIL OF MAYA, AUGUST BURNS RED, BORN OF OSIRIS, ERRA, ETILISTS, VOLUME. <--- These are techinical deathcore bands, Technical as in, Time signature changes, Complexs riffs, ect. TALENT. Not simple power chords over and over again. I' not saying that Everyone should listen to these bands, people should listen to what they want, and if you like this, then fine! i'm speaking my opinion, and that's what i think.

  • @ShibbiZeBeast808 Hardcore, by definition, is not supposed to be "talented" in the sense of playing their instruments perfectly or having an understanding of music theory. It's about aggression, power, and raw emotion. Deathcore is mainly a style of music that caters to "br00tal" kids with terrible breakdowns, changes that make little sense, and a thirst for popularity. It lacks feeling and assumes it can make up for it with technicality. Want real talent with complexity? Listen to Immolation.

  • @Spitfire995 BUT, can these people in cro-mags play guitar? Does the vocalist have VOCAL skills? You tell me.

  • @ShibbiZeBeast808 absolutely, they have both. do everyone a favor and beat it.

  • @Spitfire995 And i respect your opinion ma'am/sir person. I love how you completely ignore the rest of my comments as if you don't have anything to say because you can't. Or maybe you just don't understand, that's all

  • @ShibbiZeBeast808 music comes in many variations. narrow minded-ness is when idiots cant accept that there is other music out there. i hate the scene music and all that screamo shit but i accept that that kind of music exists, even tho i dont like it.

  • @Spitfire995 I'll admit, they DO have a message in their songs, but the way that they are putting it out to public could be better.

  • @ShibbiZeBeast808 this is obviously not the best display of talent, but i love the music, it's so fucking RAW and RELENTLESS... UGH! \m/

  • @LarryGuitaryGuy I respect you and especially your opinion. Unlike others who would rather start a gigantic arguement. Nothing against you

  • @ShibbiZeBeast808 So fucking what Bob Dylan made a career by sing off key now that guy is a national treasure.

  • @ShibbiZeBeast808 It's about the energy.

  • @ShibbiZeBeast808 another faggot with no musical ear...hows gettin fucked by lady gag me?

  • @MiGrandeCazzo Explain to me what "music" is to you then, and how this is music.

  • @ShibbiZeBeast808 emotion...passion...shit you know nothing about

  • @MiGrandeCazzo Know nothing about? LOL i'm an artist, i play guitar, I breakdance. Those are all forms of art, EMOTION, PASSION. I sense no passion into this, if they did mean something, they would put it into a certain way where people can feel, and know what they are trying to portray. You think you know passion? A passion to strum inaudible power chords and play a solo thats barely in key. Oh yeah, big message. I know that art is expressing yourself, but at least put it in a more

  • sophisticated way that will show that they are being serious for what they do.

  • @ShibbiZeBeast808 They played shows for their fans. Took actual time from their lives to create and play their music for their fans.

Please let no one take this guy seriously he listens to linkin park and gay ass math metal bands. kid is a scene faggot.

  • @PartyBoy64 I listen to about any genre of music except for thrash. Because musicality wise, there is nothing there. You don't think that other bands don't take time to make there music to please their fans? Just because i listen to linkin park doesn't mean that i'm "scene" Scene/ Screamo is fag music. Technical metal/ Post hardcore bands take more than enough time to "create and play music for their fans" I could make a cromags song in 5 MINUTES. You make me blush :D

  • @ShibbiZeBeast808 Jesus christ you hold your head up so fucking high. You need to cope with your ego problems. No one ever said other bands dont take the time to make music for their fans. You're downing a great band only for the fact and reason that you don't like the band or genre at all. I mean its mere opinion on your part whatever you say about a band. No one cares if you're an artist, you play guitar, or breakdance. Don't flaunt that shit around here. Get that crown off your head. Grow up.

  • @ShibbiZeBeast808 Why do you listen to a bunch of queers like Linkin Park? Same fuckin arguement. You just seem that like that one asshole tht disagrees with everyone just to spite them or seem special or whatever the fuck. Take your fucking hipster views out of metal vids. You're probably that fuckin piece of shit that goes to high school with a guitar and plays fucking chords and thinks he's real fuckin deep.

  • @TheMysticMushrooms Chords? WOW. Just because I listen to Linkin Park doesn't mean I'm an all power chords guy. I have a diverse selection of music that I listen to. But, does that mean I play it? No. I play technical death metal/core. THAT has barely any chords, minus the syncopated breakdowns. Do you see any hipsters doing that? No, because they don't have the time to dedicate themselves to going their full potential. They follow the hype.

  • @ShibbiZeBeast808 All these fucking "core" genres are pretty much just the metal world's answer to hipsters. I called you a hipster cause of your views on this band in particular. Do you know what the definition of "EMOTION" as you call it is? EMOTION is not limited to crying in a corner or makin some funky ass arpeggio like riff. I'm using just using examples By The WaY.

  • @TheMysticMushrooms I honestly don't care on what music people like since I listen to what I like to. But seriously, how can you judge my skills by off of what I listen to? I'll have respect for your music, just don't be bashing me with this "hipster chord playing high school student" shit. I take what I do seriously.

  • @ShibbiZeBeast808 Faggot

  • @xBEANSANDNOPALESx Yes, i am a bundle of twigs. Or a cigar. WHY YOU MAD BRO?!?!?!!?!LOLOLOLOL

  • @ShibbiZeBeast808 Shut the fuck up with your stupid smart ass reply. Anyone that has to say U MAD BRO when someone calls them something should just fuck themselves because they can't think of anything intelligent to say. You should seriously just get off your fucking high horse. The heaviest riffs are usally pretty simple. Half of the riffs ever made in metal are just fucking power chords. Like 15% of main riffs are actually hard to play and complex isn't exactly heavy, moron.

  • @xBEANSANDNOPALESx

    umadbro

  • @ShibbiZeBeast808 watch "American Hardcore"...............the movie explains what the whole Hardcore movement as about in the 80's and how it has evolved to what hardcore is today.

  • @ShibbiZeBeast808 what the fuck??

  • Awww...hardcore music too...hardcore for you?

  • @funeralsummer aww...can't handle my opinion?? I'm sorry, I'll be less harsh next time. :'(

  • @ShibbiZeBeast808 How can something be barely in key? Is that like barely raping someone?

  • @Milnuts75 Some notes are in the key that it is played in, most are not. So technically, if you think about it, it is barely in key compared to the studio version where it is in key.

  • @ShibbiZeBeast808 I thought it was Steve Vai. Just yanking your crank. You are free to dislike whomever you wish. These high energy bands are super fun live, especially at venues with a liquor license.

  • @Milnuts75 If he is playing a blues pentatonic scale, then wow. Not very good use of it in my opinion

  • @ShibbiZeBeast808 The way I see it is raw emotion that is supposed to be fast agressive and energetic. It doesnt take much talent to play guitar wise, but thats not the point. The point of hardcore/trashy styles of music is for tons of kids to come together at shows and let go of all there problems and go crazy, and the lyrics and message wouldnt fit into really any other style of music, it just all fits. Im not saying it takes tons of talent for the guitarist but it can still be loved.

  • @SuperTeenSpaz I see, I see. Well, respectfully love what you guys love haha, I don't mean to bash on anyone, just speaking my opinion! :P I probably just don't understand this, that's all

  • @ShibbiZeBeast808 Jumping right in to this is kind of hard. Check out some post hardcore/scramz like defeater and see if you like that

  • wtf the guy at 0:23 looks like wolfgang petry a german singer ... could be his twin

  • Have Heart > Cro-Mags

  • @bluuurrr FUCK YEA! i mean i dont agree with it, but have heart is fuckin epic

  • @bluuurrr YOU POSE HARD. HAVE HEART IS NOTHING COMPARED TO A REAL HARDCORE BAND.

  • 100% rawness

  • The Mags will rip any so called Thrash or Hardcore band today a new asshole any day of the week! It was cool to see a Mags sticker in the Bowery tonight in NYC!

  • i'm 19 and i wish i was young back then, because honestly music these days it's not the same... The energy, the spirit, it's all gone. I hate this age.

  • Harley Flanagan really knew how to parade himself around didn't he...

  • Classic Hardcore Band, i watch from Mtv,old times, good times....

  • John Joseph is one of the coolest dudes in the world! Any agree?

  • @rp3rdyankees Yes I agree. The amount of good Karma this chap sends out is unbelievable. Saw JJ in Milton Keynes 2006, there were maybe 20 people there but he still put on an amazing show. Increase the peace.

  • Easily one of the best things ever, this song is. Nicole Hatcher, by far, is the best thing ever thoa. I love you beautiful girl.

  • doesnt matter if its from the east or west coast you appreciate either if its hardcore...see you Friday Cro Mags on the WEST coast

  • How come people call this "hardcore"? They sound more like thrash metal, reminds me of (old) Metallica or Megadeth rather than say, Black Flag or Minor Threat, and if you see the kids on the video opening, they more like mini versions of Dave Mustaine ;P

  • @yasser69: you don't know anything about "hardcore"!

  • Rad, have not seen this vid since like 1987 on 120 Minutes. This ain't live, this is the studio version from Age of Quarrel.

  • Esse clip me lembra do velho furia metal, da extinta MTV BRASIL bons tempos aqueles!!

  • Esse clip me lembra do velho furia metal, da extinta MTV brasil

  • I always loved it at 0:51! Harley looks so mean and cool there! I think I was afraid of him here back in 86' when this video launched on Headbangers Ball.

  • Cro Mags Need to do a Reunion in NYC with Dallas TX #1 SLAYER Trubute Band, WAR ENSEMBLE~! INSANITY!~

  • @inyourfacedouchebag I agree man! Agnostic Front is good too! John Joseph mentions the Bad Brains were a huge influence on his younger years and there music inspired him to create the Mags back in the early 80's!

  • orange county rules man , NYHC is cool but dont get any closer to old school californian hardcore i am talking about : black flag , circle jerks , TSOL, middle class, suicidal tendencies , dead kennedys , angry samoans AND MORE . CALIFORNIA UBER ALLES LOL .

  • @becanal2009You're a Jackass

  • At 1:27 begins CHAOS!!!

  • Aight! Who are the 27 "Fruit Loops" who DIS-liked!?!?!?

  • they could never make up thier minds..be HC or Metal

  • amen to the last words on this video

  • I want to play this song at my wedding but my cunt wife wanted to here michael bolton instead.

  • Flight of the angel 1:59

  • gET BENt!!

  • big black dude walking twords you with clenched fists and a huge errection... immagine it while opening rift plays

  • @ThePlasticjesus666 lmao wtf is going on in ur head

  • I wish the vocalist stayed in the band after the first album! He gave the Cro-Mags their identity!

  • i am almost 40 and can not believe the bad ass music we grew up with/ skated to, and got very riled up about. I don't think there has been anyone that can compare to the energy of the scenes that loved "our" bands.

Suicidal Tendencies (just by their name) used to get me in trouble. Think about when someone said "cro mags"? "what the hell kinda band name is that"?

Yeah well I still don't know... whats Def leppard? or even blue oyster cult? I am going to got eat some sardines right now..

  • @jfk1971

why dont you take those sardines and stick them up your butthole like the queer you are

  • @jfk1971 Cro Mags is short for Cromagnon man. Caveman. Well that's what I think anyway. As for Def Leppard, I think I heard or read that they just wanted a cool name and it means a deaf leopard. Don't ask me about Blue Oyster Cult though. Maybe it means cold vagina worshippers.

  • @jfk1971

def leppard were a great band and so was blue oyster cult

    the cro mags fucking sucked...

  • @trollingdouche Bro! Leppard is a great band but you can't compare them because the MAGS and Def Leppard are two totally different genres of music. The MAGS are one of the "founding Fathers" of all Hardcore!

  • @trollingdouche come here and say that you will get burnt alive little worm

  • @jfk1971 I'm right there with you man. I'll be 39 this year. We used to blast this in the truck headed out to whatever place we felt like skating that day. Cro Mags, Agnostic Front, Black Flag, Suicidal Tendencies, Crumbsuckers... Man, I'm so glad I kept all those TAPES. Yes you youngin's us old people listened to tapes back in the dark ages.

  • @AdRock1035 Let's not forget about Murphy's Law, Nuclear Assault, Biohazard, BOLD, Prong, and Sick Of It All! I had all those on reel-to-reel casette tapes, too man hehe wow it sucks getting old but feels so heartwarming to recall all the good memories. Remember Infectious Grooves?

  • @YaWantTaters : Whipped creaaammmm, put it all over yo bodayyyyyyya............

  • @jfk1971

I'm with you too bro and so with AdRock1035, Ya Want...

But I'm the oldes of us, turned 40 in december. But still, I use to think just the same you guys do. Life of Agony, Anthrax, the early NiN...

I need to learn, times are gone. Too bad, they'll never come back. But at least we got our tapes and our memories

  • @jfk1971 Well Im 42 and this shit still Rocks! I remember listening to the Cro-Mags when I was in High School

  • harley war vs bloodclot who wins? CRO-MAGS

  • myybe people like the demo so much, is because it was mastered at three r.p.m.'s faster it should have. Paris's Farthers studio was not set up to master at that speed. There for it was mastered like if Micky Mouse was recording.....lol.

  • Everyone who loves the Mags should purchase: The Evolution of a Cro-Magnon! It's a great read and you learn alot about John Joseph and his struggles. You get to learn about John as a person and not just a dude who is screaming how tough he is when he is singing. Rest assured John is still tough though!

  • When this video ends, there's some words about Jesus and faith that are B.S., and have nothing to do with what the Cro-Mags were about.

  • Any of u see a show a CBGBS? I've seen reverb MotherFuckers ,Nausea, the Tom Tom Club,etc...

  • @theyankee1970 Been there a few times... Sheer Terror, Murphy's Law, etc... Would have LOVED to see Tom Tom Club

  • @khunkao OMG! Sheer Terror! I remember those days, man!!! Running through the Village!

  • @theyankee1970

I am 42 and was at most of the CBGB hardcore matinees in the late 80s - incredible memories..

I sill listen to and love hard core and other heavy music...

  • Comment removed

  • RP3RDYANKEES IM 37 ALSO and i rememeber recording cromags from wsou. here in nyc. a lot of older guys ask me how do u know so much is in the 80;s u were so young. i tell them "bro i may not have been 20 something back in 86 but i was `13 going on `14 and knew my shit , what u expect a retard teen cmon man. i was skating, bmxing wearing vision street wear. yo yankees u my bro man, we go back did u paint trains as wel i know i did and i was 13 fucking 1986 was an awesome year.

  • @bigben1986 Fuckin a. Well said.

  • @bigben1986 i watched the beat in 1993. Im 32 and thought no film or band could improve this. From switzerland here, lonely fan!!

  • @bigben1986 Yup! The late 80's were good times! I owned about 12 to 15 skate boards in those days. I had a G&S Neil Blender, Vision Gator, Zorlac Metallica board, Santa Cruz Rob Rascop, Powell and Peralta Ratt Bones, Nautus Compas and several others. I was into Freestyle and BMX too. I still have my white with Nean Green 87' Haro Master in my garage and it's actually in decent shape. Also had a purple GT Pro Performer and an blue Schwinn Predator. My buddy still has a Hutch Trick Star!

  • @bigben1986 paint trains? werd?

  • @bigben1986 My first skateboard was the miniature Vision "Psychostick" !! hah... old times. You remember

Dr. Know? I read something how Kyle Toucher put them back together last year, in 2010. Heard anything about that?

  • One the best Punk band to come of New york

  • the best!

  • Best wishes from Germany - hell, that's Punk Rock at it's best (ok ok, i know, it should be referred as NY Hardcore)!

Get up, stay aware! And have a good time!

  • damn... this stuff brings back a lot of memories. every time I hear this song, it give me goosebumps. being that I am 41, I was right in the age group to enjoy this music when it was out there. it's sad that there isn't any real hardcore scene left in nyc or anywhere else, for that matter. this was great, angry, authentic music, unlike the garbage that's out there today. cro-mags and agnostic front... two killer bands who made some great music that will live on forever.

  • I'm 37 and remember my hardcore/punk friend raving all about the Cro Mags back in the '80s. I also remember them coming down on tour in '88 and seeing some kids in school wearing the concert shirts. I was a metalhead and VERY closed-minded, so I never gave stuff like this a chance back then. I'll always love metal, but I'm glad as hell I opened my mind up to bands like the CM.

  • Great great song...

Weird... I was in NYC with a buddy on Halloween night '88 and we hung with Doug Holland.. The fucker went a bought crack from a hole in the wall and smoked it in the back of my car. Totally fuctup night,
