  • I realise that this is a hard part to play, but there is no excuse for some of the mistakes this guy is making. His tempo changes are not even substantiated by the music. It sounds like he is sight reading it honestly. For such a large even they could have easily hired an organist capable of playing this part.

  • I think I thanked you waaaay back for posting this but thank you again. You simply cannot find this version anywhere else. Amazing.

  • This song still gives me goosebumps

  • 第2楽章があったw

  • @Crezelda LOL You are a good Kefka's fanboy. All Final Fantasy Villains are awesome with diferent stories, don't have only Sephiroth and Kefka in Final Fantasy series

  • @MrNockLee I'm a Kefka fangirl too! ^w^

  • @r4shka congrats

  • Also at 8:12 I came buckets. Literally buckets... That was the most beautiful vocal entrance I've ever heard.

  • @someonethere1122 "I came buckets. Literally buckets" Go see a doctor dude, that's not normal.

  • @unwiseowl No. Thats completely normal... Wait... NOPE completely normal!

  • I don't care what anybody says Kefka was BY FAR easier to hate than Sephiroth. Truly the most evil out of any of the Final Fantasy villains, and this theme! Gives me chills every time I hear it! Don't get me wrong One Winged Angel is a masterpiece as well but you really feel like you're fighting a god with this song.

  • @someonethere1122 I agree, Nobuo Uematsu are a good of music haha, All Final boss theme in Final Fantasy are f**** awesome

  • i was a piano major in college...took one semester of organ because i was interested in learning and it is a total mind screw...trust me...this organ part during the 3rd movement is insane to perform.

  • I'm getting goosebumps :)

  • Where was the damn BELL AT 5:07!?!?!? ALsdkjLAKSDLKAJSDLKJLKADJN:LASKSJDL:KASJDL:KAJSD

  • a Fanwar is the same thing as people arguing who the best football/soccer/basketball/hockey/baseball/ team is... just with people who transcend reality :D

Besides, hating the fanwar isn't going to make it go away. :P

  • @luiekang "I fought the fanwar but the fanwar won

I fought the fanwar but the fanwar won

I fought the fanwar but the fanwar won't stop for the love of God.

I fought the fanwar but the fanwar won"

    Sorry, I couldn't help myself.

  • Fanwar must be some nerdy faggot shit!....these characters aren't real!!! Hello....just enjoy the games and the music.....psychos!

  • Well i'm a fan of ff and all of them are i've already played... I can say that only ff1 is still not clear or the lowest rating, others are just equally rated... All ff games have different genre which I like... Now I can see that more people love sephiroth than kefka, and i think the reason is more people play ff7 than ff6, and they are just judging their expectation on dissidia...

  • Way to criticize on the sidelines about the organist, he is the only one there under the most pressure playing one of the most epic organ solos conceived....cut the guy some slack. Uematsu composed the music, but he still needed a team to help him play most of these epic tracks.

  • @Atomsk382 Agreed. I don't believe that any of the people making those comments have ANY idea how rediculously hard and complicated organ playing is. Yes, there were a few mistakes, but it's not like the whole thing came to a screeching shuddering halt or anything.

  • @bryanyslim Oh no... I think he's great!

  • I really love the last half of this video!

  • someone is sniffing at 7:43 :S is the cameraman crying???

  • What I would give to sing in that choir.... T_T

  • @commanderbrainwashed easy just hit your ball with a hammer an you are good to go.

  • Why do I feel a negative energy flowing trough my body, the kind of energy that forces me to destroy everything I see, including myself... Some kind of psychotic energy... I dislike that feeling. Do you guys know someone to cure me of that energy? It would be appreciated.

  • @r4shka Kefka is doing it to you. Embrace it

  • @TheTbrandon Kefka is the one who gives me that psychotic energy? Whoa... O_O"

  • @r4shka go someplace where there is a large concentration of negative ionic particles like a waterfall or near the ocean or take a LONG shower with lukewarm water or cold water. Try meditating to music that relaxes you. Avoid music that is made using electronically altered sounds that simulate real music.

  • @Illiyuwn Thanks for the advice.

  • I have come to the conclusion that character the joker from the movie "The Dark Knight" was blatantly copied from Kefka from FFVI.

Both are insane clowns That "just want to see the world burn."

    "Welcome to my barbecue."

  • This is.... so... Godly.

  • I love this song, but this is the worst interpretation I've ever heard. The conductor's tempo changes are awful and so is that organ player. The Distant Worlds one is much better.

  • @willneubauer ur right, damn organist...well, arnie roth is a good conductor. he just had to work w a bad organist. or maybe the orchestra was feeling lazy cuz "this aint music" (i heard houston symphony members say that). but damn...this was a bad day

  • 7:25 and onward is clearly the greatest part of the song, proven further by someone literally weeping in the background.

  • Where i can find a mp3 of this ?

  • Kefka is the best enemy of FF series, he is bad, terrorific, inhuman, cinic, strategic and intelligent. C'mone, he destroy the fuking world.

    PD. Great opera :D

  • 1:35 sounds like they're singing "PEEENIIIIIIIS"

  • Seph had mother issues that would make Sigmund Freud have wet dreams.

Kefka...you love to hate that lil SOB. He didn't have a pretty face for the fangirls, and he didn't care: he didn't want to rule the world, he didn't want to become imortal, he didn't have any revenge plans.

He just wanted to F*** S*** up for the sake of F***ing S*** up. Nothing more, nothing less. Get his hands on some bad arsed magic and go and F*** S*** up.

  • @Crezelda well, he went mad after the experiment for him to have magic.

  • @Crezelda ff6 hipster much?

  • This is an incredible piece. First time i played the game, i was so caught by the music, i forgot i was playing a game and my party got caught. It is great. Like Darth Vader, i hear a few notes and i associate it to Kefka right away.

  • Would be a LOT more epic at the original tempo.

  • The organ player is a Sephiroth lover.. he screwed it up multiple times.

  • WTF? Sephiroth and Kefka are both bad-ass.

I guess only us old farts that played FFI - FFXIII on the original consoles know this. It is known.

  • 11 people are Sephiroths Fans x(

  • This.... is probably the most epic thing i have ever heard, even after the drop in audio quality in this recording. I wish I could have been there personally because this is probably the best piece of vgm ever.

  • 11 people cried for their mommies after kefka dominated them

  • Comment removed

  • Some of the organ work failed on this rendition. Still brilliant and epic though. The vocals made me forget the electric guitar in other versions, and that's one hell of an acheivement.

  • Its as true in video games as it is in movies. People will hate a villian, but love to hate a truly evil one.

  • Best arrangement of this masterpiece. The Distant Worlds version donesn't live up to the epicness at all. Specially the end.

  • Kefka = scary clown, like IT.

    Sephiroth = IDK, haven't played FFVII ^.^

  • I remember Uematsu saying that 'One Winged Angel' was the most complex piece he ever worked on. Now how the hell is that possible when you have THIS?

  • @crlyxx My guess would be because there was singing throughout the entire song latin I believe (I read the song translated into english and it's pretty damn stupid sounding).

  • @sajohnson09

Well, you know the Dancing Mad lyrics, on that facebook page, were only guesses. (They probably had no knowledge of Latin and even most admitted that fact. The lyrics were probably transcribed by ear) so you can't blame them for at least trying on this huge piece. :/

  • If I ever ruled the world this would be my anthem...those vocalists are GOLD!!!

  • Please, PLEASE, does anybody know if there is a clearer recording of this? There has to be, right? I'd KILL for one.

  • @inferno232 No need to go as far as Kefka did for an epictastic masterpiece:

    /watch?v=jMFCM0SKbnY

  • @inferno232

well, if distant worlds in sydney plays this piece, and someone records it, it will probably show up, and due to the fact that youtube no longer mangles videos when uploaded (reduced picture quality, and mono sound, which is what all videos were back when this was uploaded), it will probably be better.

The Distant worlds sydney is on the 15th of april.

  • Which night is this from... did they even end up playing more than one show in Sydney?

I was at the first night, and the organ guy kicked ass. Whole show was amazing.

  • Best ending boss battle music ever, nothing even comes close.

  • any possible way to download a clear audio of this?

I stupendously blown away by the orchestra and vocals, I hope that doesnt make me stupid.

  • @andTheCreativist No, i dont thing that, dont worry, i like this composition a lot too ;)

  • I would have loved to there.

  • Bloody delicious.

  • Kefka loves loves loves loves loves loves loves LOVES this song! WAHAHAHA!!

  • Organ is a difficult instrument to play, but the organist is supposed to be a professional. His sloppy playing is disgraceful, and takes so much away from the rest of this fantastic performance.

  • @ultimabladerxx

Sephiroth was gone at the end of FF7. Just as Kefka was gone at the end of FF6. Sephiroth was only revived because Square wanted more money. Until they released that retcon filled, anime-esque pile of trash they want to call Advent Children. That, combined with the even more pathetic Crisis Core, destroyed what was awesome about FF7. They butchered the entire story with their garbage.

Also, really, why are you here? This trolling has gone on since 1997. You're pretty late.

  • Kefka is like the Joker.

He just wants destruction and chaos.

  • @ultimabladerxx

But Sephiroth failed where Kefka succeed destorying the planet. Therefore, Kefka was the successful villain despite being defeated in the end.

  • @ultimabladerxx

Uuuuh, you do your math. There are only 9 planets, IF you still count Pluto. Also, I refuse to believe that he actually did that. Considering it only does a pissy 4k damage, I think. If I remember right. I think all that was like SFX attacks from the start of FFIX.

  • @ultimabladerxx

What you just said makes zero sense. I've read some pretty bad troll logic, but come on bro. At least try.

2/10 for the effort of typing that sad response.

  • Aside from that nonsense, Sephiroth is not all that powerful. Before you venture into the Northern Crater, Sephiroth was never awake. It was Jenova masquerading as Sephiroth. Jenova is the one who had all the power. All Sephiroth did was take the black materia, summon meteor, and by a chain of events via extreme mako, combined with the cosmic power of the black materia, transformed into a Seraph. Hence "One Winged Angel." The dude flies in circles for Christ sakes.

  • @SilvanNosty homosexual circles may I add! xDDD...Kefka is the best villain in Final Fantasy. Every villain tried to destroy the world...Kefka did (Exdeath is a close second...but his fondness over voids and turtles kinda stopped him from destroying the world xD)

  • @ultimabladerxx

    lolnohedidnt

Supernova is just an attack used in battle. Things done in-battle are not truly done to the universe the game is held within. Battles are on a separate plane of existence. Square even acknowledges this. They stated when developing FF13 (a little paraphrasing) "Battles are not as seamless as they are in FF12. Instead, as per-usual, battles will be transitioned by a screen, and take place in a separate universe, so to speak."

    Therefore, supernova does not exist.

  • @ultimabladerxx I don't think Super Nova actually counts. I believe it was mainly used for dramatic effect since TECHNICALLY Earth would be destroyed as well and as far as I know, it's still there. So the other planets should indeed still be intact.

  • @MANTISscream dude, it's just a game.

  • Insanely great performance, right up there with the Black Mages and OSV. An extremely fortunate audience, to be sure.

  • Kefka kicks Sephiroth's ass, and I've played both.

  • @SmNBahamut I don't even think Sephiroth has the balls to fuck with Kefka....

  • Hmm, they didn't have this one at Wolftrap, when i went to seePLAY.

  • In the organ part in 5:06 to 6:45 I get goosebumps from the very finest.

My english is not so good, but even in my own language I could not describe what I feel when listening to this masterpiece.

Beethoven once said: "Music is a higher revelation than all wisdom and philosophy". Dancing Mad is one of the proofs.

  • So when the world is coming to an end and you hear this song be expecting big things to happen, least before you get burn away by the light of judgment that is. lol

  • Both Sephiroth and Kefka are awesome in their own ways, I wonder when people'll learn they're incomparable and stop hating on characters from games they haven't even played? I really hate hate hate hate HATE this fanwar.

  • @SolMasterzzz I agree with you. Can't we all agree that they're all good villans? I mean, They both reached godhood.

  • @pspgawdz Eh... Personally, for villainy in FF7. I look to Hojo rather then Sephiroth. Really, it's all Hojo's fault and his mad scientist meddling and manipulating of his superior's corporate goals caused all the trouble, paired with the natural debauchery of the town that was basically capitalized upon by Shinra corporation, which itself is the faceless villain of FF7.

Sephiroth was always just... kind of there.

Now Kefka... Now that's a freaking scary badass villain.

  • @SolMasterzzz

They're very comparable. Sephiroth is great for his fighting style and battle music, but that's it. Kefka's personality and the shit he did makes him a step above Seph.

  • @SolMasterzzz

    - lol I think it's a console war thing, the golden age of video games was SNES... when PS came out, it started becoming more commercial...

Thus, people with taste prefer Kefka :P

  • @MasterHypnose It's not preferring one or the other I think doesn't make sense. There are good arguments on both sides. I don't like how some people can't like one without hating the other. If you think one is good, you don't necessarily have to think the other is bad, right?

  • @SolMasterzzz

    - nah, it ruins the geeky fun if you don't hate one of them... I hate Sephiroth simply because fanboys come along and tell me he's better than Kefka :P and thus the fun begins!

  • @MasterHypnose XD I guess that's true too...

  • @SolMasterzzz what made sephiroth so awesome was how much mystery was behind him. He was behind the scenes most of the game. You see a murdered politician and a bloodied corpse of a gargantuan snake. You enter Kalm and cloud spills his guts and your balls are blazed to charcoal with an epic interactive back story.

but yeah, dancing mad is better than one winged angel

  • @SolMasterzzz LOL I hate hate hate hate HATE it too

  • Why is it with every dancing mad video I see the OWA sucks, or DM IS TEH GREATEST comments.

Lets admire these songs for what they show.

OWA- Sets up Sephy as a badass, which he is! Mission accomplished! It's a great song and much easier to hum to yourself.

DM- Much more complex and it tells Kefka's story,so overall a deeper experience. Great to listen to but I have problems remembering the song on my own.

They're both great in their own ways.

  • Why did they skip the first part of the fourth movement?

  • davenhla, I couldn't have said it better myself. Just imagining the pure work put into this song, it has easily become one of the songs i have remembered the most, and never get tired of hearing.

  • The whole score from FF6 is worthy of being orchestrated, and would make an amazing concert. This piece gave me shivers. The fact Uematsu created a piece of music like this on/for something as limited as SNES flat out amazes me.

  • I'd pay a month's wages for tickets to that.

  • Did anyone else cry manly tears for Kefka?

  • Dude man, I haven't even played or heard this, but it sends bloody shivers down my spine, and makes the hairs on my neck stand.

  • Always have a Fanboy that has to compare the Mad Dancing with the One Winged Angel.

These Kefka's fanboys can't live without compare Kefka with Sephiroth?

THIS FAN WAR IS SO FUCKING GAY

  • @LuizOtakuXD it's not a war, just a peaceful debate... now bring a Seymour fan, and you'll see war !

  • @cptOrgazmo (Well if you say so...) Seymour Owns All!

  • @LuizOtakuXD It hads nothing to do with that. We take offence when FF noobs who only played final fantasy since it came out on Sony act like Sephiroth is the god of FF villians when hes rather weak on a whole. most of the time Jenova is actually the one pretending to be Sephiroth.

  • damn... and I can't stop questioning why they love one winged angel more than this...? got goosebumps when i listened to this...--"

wish they would release the CD for this orchestral version of Dancing Mad...

  • @graviron this IS better than one winged angel

  • @Nickdreadskull lol... damn true, dude... and even though one winged angel is cool, the theme it self doesn't suit Sephiroth's image... the song which's like terror, craziness, and "godlike being" stuff doesn't suit him... Kefka's the real badass... both one winged angel and dancing mad really represent Kefka... well, that's my opinion, though... but there are FF fans who haven't played FF classics who said that FF 7 is way better than FF 6 or the other FF series... well... I have to dissagree..

  • @graviron I totally agree on FF6 : better setting, story, characters, music, and villain. FF7 is a great RPG, probably one of the best of the franchise. but it cant compare to the emotional deepness and epic story of the 6. Kefka is a far more complex and insanely evil than Sephiroth which is more the "fallen angel" villain, I think that their themes both fits them perfectly... Anyway it is awesome to hear that play by a symphonic orchestra.

  • @cptOrgazmo I've always thought that FF7 got the reception it did because it was the first very well marketed FF outside Japan, being on Playstation. Prior to that, Japanese RPG was a niche market if you look back to earlier FF, Chrono Trigger, Dragon Warrior 4 etc. For most people in the mainstream FF7 was the one they "lost virginity" with. I see a tendency that those who were in the scene long before don't place FF7 on top of the pile. Still, a great game.

  • @Nickdreadskull they both give their own message and are both epic. you can't say one winged angel is better because one winged angel has a more villainy-evil sound, whereas this has a more epic-evil or demonic-evil sound.

  • @BlinzerOmega I can :) And i did :)

  • I wish there was a better quality version of this video

  • This is the best sounding version i have seen on youtube. Other than the original. :)

  • Dancing Mad is coming to London in November 11 2011. :)

  • They didn't play this at the Dear Friends concert I attended. Why Nobuo, Why?

  • Holy crap

I would travel across the world to witness something like this. Especially if the followed it up with the Ending Theme.

  • Is there a lot final fantasy fans in Sydney ?

  • movement 3 is my favorite (the organ thing, aka the lady and rest part) <3

  • Organ player wasn't nearly as professional as the rest of the musicians. Otherwise, frickin' amazing.

  • 9 people had their homes destroyed by the Light of Judgement!!

  • Real Organs are less convenient than synthesized ones. They never sound the same. Song gets awesome at 8 minutes or so.

  • Real Organs are less convenient than synthesized ones. They never sound the same.

  • Best boss music ever made to any video game made period. nothing stands a chance.

I love ffiv ending theme, but this one is king.

  • you know I never had the inspiration to finish ff6 till I heard this song

  • Sounds like someone fucked with the metronome right when the second part started...

  • Even the sub-par organ parts doesn't diminish how awesome this is.

  • Does a better quality version exist? It's awesome!

  • *coughs*

  • Great song. Kinda Bach referential, just like One Winged Angel is basically a remix of the Carmina Burana

  • That organist was unprepared.

  • @Potatish -_-'

  • @Potatish Yes.

  • i LOVE this music! this needs to come to America!

  • Just 1k away from 100k viewers!

  • 7:43 i can hear people crying D., and yes i love this song more than One-Winged Angel

  • love this song, such POWER.

  • god damn now thats awsome music. such POWER just hearing it. its like " ohh shit here he comes we are inn for a world of hurt". and kefka is like" I TRULY HATE YOU...YOU SHOULD GO AWAAAAY". and everybody dies:P and then he laughes.

  • god damn now thats awsome music. such POWER just hearing it. its like " ohh shit here he comes we are inn for a world of hurt". and kefka is like" I TRULY HATE YOU...YOU SHOULD GO AWAAAAY". and everybody dies:P

  • I would even dare playing FF14 if there was such great songs.

  • Are the people who go mostly Final Fantasy fans, or do people who just like syphonic music also show up?

  • So did a purple octopus fall from the ceiling when they played this? hehe

  • @dethtrain FTW

  • @dethtrain

best comment ever...I just past that part...I'm playing it all over again on my droid. Haven't played it in YEARS.

  • @dethtrain I'd have gone just to throw one

  • @dethtrain Its mysterious how he knew it would take him exactly 5 minutes to push a four ton weight off the scaffolding.

  • @dethtrain Oh my god, in the thousand times I've watched this video, that NEVER came to my mind!

  • @dethtrain I loved that octopus! One of the most hilarious villians in all of final fantasy.

  • @disturbanite8 And then we met him again at the casino.

    Good times. Good times.

  • @Testsubject909 ha you forgot the colloseum too. He's the clerk their. lmao!

  • umm ... i kinda disagree with you guys ,,, one winged angel is ways best than dancing mad ,,,,,, because when i play one winged angel ,, i go along with the lyrics and the music ,,, BUT when i play dancing mad ,,, first i hear a 1 min from the organ part ,,, then i speed up to 11min to hear the best part of dancing mad!!! but i would give theme both (1winged angel and dancing mad) A 5 STAAAARS THUMPS UP

  • Am I the only one who actually liked the organ part?

  • @MasterTubeTheatre

nope, but this video does not do it any justice at all. you realy needed to be there to get the full experiance (this video seems to be lacking a WHOLE lot of the lower tones that gave it a lot of impact)

  • @MasterTubeTheatre Which organ part? Oh, you mean the one that dominated the music all the way through all four parts of the song?... yeah, it was pretty amazing!

If you meant the solo... yeah, I can never wait for the piece to get to that part.

  • @MasterTubeTheatre No. Although you may be the only one who's never played the game.

  • @PrimalLight2323 How can you not play the best edition to FF? The story, characters, soundtrack to VI is unbelievable.

  • @MasterTubeTheatre I stand corrected.

  • Distant Worlds is coming to London in November 2011! And they have "Dancing Mad" on their set list...hell yeah!

  • @MasterTubeTheatre

Distant worlds is also coming to Sydney in April 2011, I already have bought my tickets for it.

  • Simply the best, period. Would pay quite a lot to see this live.

  • WOW!!

    Its beautiful.

  • i wish something like this was held here in Maryland in the USA

  • @Illiyuwn Me too fellow Marylander.

  • WHERE THE FUCK DID THE BELLS GO

  • @IsaacHead good ?. PS, i saw the PLAY orchestra in concert. when they played the mario underground theme, EVERYONE STARTED TO CHEER!!!

  • Comment removed

  • I wish they have this in Melbourne :(

  • Why can't there be any concerts like this in the US??? Love this performance!
