s2000 is NOT a DRIFTCAR , it doesnt have enough torque to drift like 240sx, silvia's , supras , 350z , ect ... S2000 is a handling car therefore = Track + Street car
s2000 is known to have week differential, drag are dangerous.
I ran a 14.1 in my stock 2002 AP1 and probably could of ran faster if I felt like messing up my diff. I've seen faster with harder launches and better tires on stock S2000s. Any bolt-on won't add enough power to a S2000 to make it .200 better in the 1/4. Only downside of running S2000 in 1/4 mile is the weak differential it comes with and holds people back from launching to hard. The S2000 is designed to auto-x/circuit not 1/4 mile.

14.2 bone stock my ass, it prolly got k pro, something un noticable. yes k pro works in sk2, it conects to the stock s2k ecu, that would make a "stock" s2k run 14.2 or less, plus great driving

s2k can run 14.2 with tires and and maybe exhaust. My friend ran a 14.0 with a 350z with just exhaust good tires and hes a nasty driver, and Kpro in s2k isnt worth it you have to get alot of new shit to even use Kpro in s2k you cant just connect it like in regular rsx type-s'. You have to get alot of type-s parts for it to work, better to get AEM PnP.
I always laugh at people who say the S2000 was built for X... because you're completely wrong.
It was built to be a street car, hence why it is completely designed to be driven on normal roads. If all it was meant to do was drive on a course, it wouldn't be solt at dealerships, nor would it have any of the safety/comfort equipment that a street car needs.
Completely wrong. Cars are built for certain purposes-- saving gas, accelerating quickly and having a big beefy motor, being luxurious, appealing to people who like to race their cars. This is why cars are designed and SOLD at dealerships. They have to manufacture cars to appeal to differen't people and what they like to do. Not all cars are created equal. On top of that, yes, all these cars are made to be STREET LEGAL. Nice try though but no cigar.
Apparently you know nothing. S2000's aren't drift cars either. They were built for Road Racing and Auto Cross.
By the way, S2000's can be very capable Drag cars. Inline Pro is knocking on the 8 second barrier with their S2000, and it doesn't have anywhere near 1000HP like these Supra's that run a 10 Second 1/4 mile having 1,100+ HP.
This was the third run ever with this car on a track. Only way to pull a better time is to bag the tires or some other 'free mod.' My car was bone stock. It's the same time the magazine's drivers ran in 2001 during review of the car.

You seem to have missed the point, so I'll try to spell it out in simpler terms:
Dealership cars are built to be street driven. Some excel more than others in different areas - but the bottom line is that street cars are just that.
If you want a race car, you ought to be looking for something with an HI7R under the hood. Interestingly enough, you won't find them at a dealership.

They're not made for drifting either. They're track cars. This car has seen the autocross before, no worries.
