and move they can, very well. lulu gets a bit out of step around the middle of the set but she is quick and hides it well, lulu was a teenager in this video clip, only 17 she was i think.

This would be a while before Legs & Co were formed. TOTP viewers were invited to mame the new group much later in the year: Please see my post 'Naming Legs & Co..' from October 1976.
Ruth went on to manage 'Legs' though (as far as I'm aware) never danced with them. Lulu was very young, possibly only 16 here.
Wow! Such great times! These great ladies would not be aloud to dance around on our screens these days due to the PC brigade...pity as so many watched them for just their dance moves, hair and campness!!!!!!!
@Ampex196 I can, worse luck ! ; he had the afternoon show daily on Radio 1 at the time until they moved him to Radio 2 in late '77. He did a few 'Pops' in about '75 / 76
This is part of Ruby Flipper, the dance troupe immediately before Legs & Co. Cherry (in blue) had previously been with Pan's People. After Ruby Flipper was disbanded in May '76, Lulu (in green) and Patti (in red) went on with Sue Menhenick (not shown here but who was another ex-Pan's People/Ruby Flipper member) to form part of Legs & Co who debuted in October '76.
Correct there Ampex196, Ruth co-managed Legs & Co with ex Pan's founding member Flick Colby who in her own right went on to manage Legs & Co's successors, Zoo (the final dance troupe on TOTP from Oct 81 - Jan 84.

You are absolutely right!
Former Pan's dancer Ruth Pearson went on to manage Legs & Co; (Sue, Lulu, Patti, Rosie, Pauline & Gill). They were very successful.

@mickeytipp Whatever happened to Cherry after this?
DaithiDublin 1 year ago
@DaithiDublin actually, I'm not sure of the time line but Cherry appeared briefly in the James Bond film, "Octopussy," as Midge.
