@fordmarc2795 I have the same truck. A 4.6L Triton V8. You have to do a brake stand, then let go of the brakes! Mine will smoke out a whole block!

@LuckyCard13 I have an 98 XLT, it's had a couple of things go bad on it, fuel pump, injector, ect.. but finding new parts is easy because of how popular this truck is. Depending on the motor/cab (4.6l standard cab) setup it should get 20-22 mpg highway. They run great, have plenty of power and in general last a long time.

Not too gutless, just gotta know how to manipulate the computer. ECM programming is the trick, as these motors love timing. I have a 98 f150 2wd, and have gone across the scales with trailer weighing 13,000 lbs.!! Pulled just fine with a tweaked 4.6 and overload springs!!

weird...what kind of gear ratio do you have? my dad 01 expedition will light them up but u have to unplug the transfercase so it wont buck into AWD...my 4.6l powered 03 f150 smokes them off the line

yeah i just got a 98 4.6 lariat with dual exhaust. it could do a mean burnout with crappy old michellins but i just put bfgood' a/t's on it so i wont be doing burnouts for a while now, not on $1000 tires
