This is why being dirty is never as funny as not being dirty. YBYL only went so far as to suggest what could be dirty based on the contestants stories but never actually letting it out. Groucho always said that "it's what you don't say or see that's funny or beautiful".
This guy has no filter..."how do you know he died maybe he was just hiding" Is there a person who's honestly going to tell me Pryor and George Carlin are greater comics than him???
When he says, "The time has come, the walrus said, to play "You Bet Your Life." (9:08) What on earth does he mean? A premonition? It's too heavy, man.
A reference to the poem "The Walrus and the Carpenter" from the book "Through the Looking Glass" by Lewis Carroll. ("The time has come," the Walrus said, "To talk of many things...)
This was utterly delightful to watch! Even though this stuff was considered racy for then (the 50's), it' nothing compared to the gutter humor that passes as "comedy" today. Plus, I notice Groucho is wearing his toupee in these episodes. Pretty good lookin' rug. Well...you know what they say about baldness: "Hair today...gone tomorrow!"
Although this humor was considered racy during that era, I would still think it would be just as racy if it was aired on national television today. Im 22 and I couldnt believe some of the things Groucho said to his contestants. Though, you can't find a person with that kind of intellect to come up with jokes like that today. Timeless comedy at its best. Thanks youtube

Groucho could expertly skate around a racy comment without falling in.

Only Groucho could leave the stunning beauty of Ragnild Olausson, Miss Sweden 1954, so awestruck.
