It's not that complicated if you really think about it. That's all you have to do, think. Compared to the usual mindless 3D crap they show kids nowadays, it would be. But on it's own, it's just complex and smart. You don't have to have a high IQ to follow this film, you just need to exercise your brain for once. Still, I applaud Nolan (the most talented filmmaker of this generation) for making a refreshing, intelligent action/sci-fi film.

He went from a $6k budget to a $160 million one in only 12 years. He knows how to write a gripping screenplay and translate it to the screen.
Effects were great but no better than similar movies produced 5 years ago. Plot was slightly over complicated, although most people like to say it was extremely easy to understand. The premise of the plot is simple enough, although adding so many extras made it more than it needed to be, which in the end bored me to death. Movies like the matrix are great for the exact opposite, you dont have to think to hard and there's lots of kung fu. This film fails at making me question reality.

The comment about why the flight attendant didn't wake them up indicates that they didn't pay attention. The dream sharing machine was programmed to wake them up after a set amount of time.

In order to have to wake them up, she would have to do "the kick", to induce the falling sensation to wake them up. However, she has to do "the kick" for all of them at the same time. Unlike a dream, she can't drive the people off the bridge to induce the sensation to everyone at the same time.

Science fiction is where a movie starts with an assumption that we consider impossible in our life (hence : fiction) and develops the idea and applies it logically. So basically the fictional idea here is that people developed a way to enter other peoples' dreams and build them up mentally to design the sequence of dream inside a dream seen in this movie. But my problem is that this law isnt explained, not even tried to explain. And the whole movie builds upon that law. @asanrules - I have definitely read up on all of the theories and possibilities. However, my point is that however deep it is (or mysterious) it's not confusing. Although there are many unanswered questions, which hopefully will get answered in a sequel, it does not hurt the story nor does it impede your ability to formulate possible explanations. That is what makes it so great.
