They are making a dvd of the monster ball. That is why you have to buy her fan book because it has 3D glasses and the dvd will be in 3D. It is really obvious

The rumor floating about is that there was a technical fault just before the song was going to be played, so they just played the actual track from the album.

If you watch a video of her playing Telephone, you can actually see that there was a minute pause with everyone in position & GaGa looking towards the stage like WTF

I need to watch the videos back. I don't think she did, but it probably looked like she did cus of the Beyonce bit and the technical hitches. She was on the stage doing final rehearsing a few seconds just before we came to the top of the stairs to be led down to the standing bit!
