now all we need is an orbit elevator and the ability to harness the power of the atom in quantum physics. Were on our way....... Who thinks suicide booths are our right?
All space bound telescopes should be made connectible as array modules, this way we can make a space bound array telescope that would end up being miles across.
Indeed, including the "digital readout sound effects". This telescope is already awesome enough by itself and doesn't need that forced "technological" decoration... which is... so last decades...

It's sad that they have to make overly dramatic videos like this to make people pay attention.

when exactly are they launching this in orbit?
DeaXi69 1 year ago
No one knows exactly when, but it's supposed to be in 2014.
Being 4 years from now, the launch date is subject to change.

NASA does some amazing and brilliant work.
I feel though that often the math is neglected in preference to glossy presentations, they do not reveal NASA's true value.
It need not take any more than putting a scale in the corner of videos, or some bars indicating temperature & other numbers people could note.
There needs to be some work done on making the math accessible in a user friendly way IMO.
It is rocket science, yet it is actually quite fun and easy, everybody should know it.
