  • wow she looks beautiful bald or with a wig. just stunning :)

  • You will make it, because you are beautiful. I have the same thing like you, and I'm in the army. I've never before seen men amazed at how close I can "shave" Hahahahahaha. By the way. I saw this video on hair growth. If ever you want to look in to it. It is called (alopecia today tonight) I'm thinking of giving it a try. Why not? You never know. Lol ;)

  • Oh very cool. She is an impressive young lady. Kudos!!

  • the best part is when she takes the wig off

  • She admitted she wore a wig while representing the Alopecia foundation. Apparently, you can be completely hairless and still be blond.

  • im a 19 year old boy. i have alopecia universalis. its nice seeing such a comfident woman with the same condition as me. makes me feel a little less alone :)

  • Wow. What an amazing young lady ... her confidence, attitude of gratitude and caring energy makes her one of the most beautiful women in the world.

  • she is one of the best looking bald girls have ever seen

  • Kayla you are so beautiful with or without a wig and such confidence.

  • Watch Kayla represent girls and women with alopecia in my video "Who Is This Girl" such an inspiration!

  • honey lose the wig! you don't need it

  • Kayle...marry me!

  • with her hair on she looks like just any other blonde beauty your use to seeing but with the wig off she looks extraordinary beautiful and really brings out her beautiful features, infact she looks better without hair and that is the truth...she knows it which is why she is confident!

  • This is beautiful.

  • She Beautiful inside out!!

  • Wow she's 21, that is so sad but atleast she is confident and comfortable as she is and lives life. She is so beautiful and she is amazing how she copes with this

  • I love Kayla. I went to high school with her and she was such a sweet girl. It was never a big deal that she didn't have hair and I don't think anyone even really noticed because we knew her as she was. Go Kayla!

  • @TheEpicenter1 Wow that is awesome, that is so great you know a beatiful woman like her who has an amazing heart

  • i love her positive attitude. shes isnt just a beautiful girl, shes also very smart and she seems sincere about her platform :)

  • Kayla if you read this , I would like you to know how very very important what you are doing is. My nine year old has it and you have totally inspired her! And me. What a great answer to any teasing to say "well miss America has it!" we live in England and so wont get the contest but have posted your video all over Facebook ! Good luck! You are just fabulous. Thank you

  • Thank you all so much for your support! It would mean so much to me if you would vote to help me become a finalist in the Miss America 2011 pageant on January 15th! Search for "Vote for Miss Delaware" here on YouTube and "Like" my video to cast your vote!!!

  • She looks so much prettier with out the hair covering her face. She has a brilliant facial structure and hair just covers it up. Love women with shaved heads, though I think I would just look like I had cancer if I tried it. :P

  • this video has provided me with a lot of support, i dont have alopecia, but i loose hair because of genetic reasons, its so inspiring to see someone stand up for who they are.

  • SHE"S BEAUTIFUL!

  • yes more peagent contestants should stand out strongly for who they r,great contestant i for see she wil at the v least make the top 15!

  • She is lovely and will hopefully be able to increase acceptance of baldness in women. I, like her, most often choose to NOT wear a wig, and have Alopecia Universalis so not a single hair on my head (or a single eyelash). You rock, Kayla!

  • i was lucky enough to compete in a pageant that she was hosting. She really is a wonderful young woman, with alot of strength. I'm glad she didnt give up on this platform.

  • I am so proud of her for the confidence she exudes about her baldness. As a woman bald by choice, hair is over-rated, period. Hair does not make the man or the woman and nobody loves you more because you have long flowing tresses. Just ask any Hollywood beauty. I predict hair will soon become a thing of the past for all the brave women of the world. If you're thinking about it for whatever reason - just do it.

  • @ruthieworld mine fell out when I was almost 17- tough time- and i started going without wigs within two years. I wear wigs ONLY when the mood strikes lol, or if its real cold. they are fun once i a while but I am so comfortable and confident without hair, People are so cool about it too :)

  • u deal with it. be proud & move on best u can. being bold shouldnt deter u from being your best. alot of it is society norms and perhaps more so in the white community. black women battled this stigma decades ago and still battling the notion that hair makes a woman. but, black women wear the bald style by choice & some because of an illness. its not an issue as much but it does still attract stupid comments.

  • Kayla is one very brave and very beautiful lady! You go, girl!

  • I'm so proud of her ;'( she is so brave. she makes my insecurities pale in comparison
