I have trained at this gym.. I did not stay at the hotel as there are plenty of other cheaper accomadations available. The GBP (uk) aint so strong right now so training cost have gone up.
Facilities are amazing and plenty of trainers... at times u may end up with a young 16 year old holding your pads but dont be mistaken.... they will push u just as hard...!!!
I must add you will not make most of your time here or anywhere in thailand as it is so hot that after 2 rounds on pads your are gone.
I emailed them recently and was quoted 2,700- 3,200 baht per day for a standard room which includes two training sessions and two meals per day. Their hotel accomodation is more like 4000-5000 per day depending if it's peak or off peak. He mentioned that they're runnning a 10% discount at the moment as well. Does anyone know if you can just train there and stay in cheaper accomodation?
@Lassenb I would check out 13 coins. I think they would run you more like 1500 or so baht a day. Great trainers, great fighters, and Mr. Coke (the owner) is a very nice guy. Not as posh as Fairtex but very acceptable for way less money.
Fairtex is not expensive. Jonny are you comparing a grape to a watermellon? Look at the video dude! You get what you pay for. Yes, the hotel is 3,000 THB per night but if you stay at the training dormitory section it is comparable to othe Thai camps for 1,000 THB or less (approximately USD$30/night). You must have compared Fairtex hotel to that of a local make shift Muaythai gym in Pattaya alley...
Nice video. Who knows if Yod will ever fight in K-1. I don't think that the Japanese want another dominant Thai winning their tournaments. Yod, without a doubt, would be a contender but I haven't even heard that he is petitioning for a K-1 contract.
There is a fairtex hotel in Bangkok. This one is in Patteya. It cost 5 dollars by bus but maybe $100 by taxi ((you can probably bargain them down to half that )
There are also other good gyms. Fairtex is the creme de la creme
Excellent film thanks for making it not just for my sake but for my wife she's seen it for the first time has seemed keen on my idea of training in Thailand so i can train while she pampers herself, they even have a creche for our son a really excellent facility .
haha. Thats awesome Suzan! looks good on ya. Now when i was training there Yak did not train phalang has that changed since then? For new fighters that want to train at Fairtex i suggest you try out a new trainer every day until you mesh with the one that will instruct you specifically on technique. Chao, Chai and Teelak are my personal favorites.
My voice is all screwed because I want to school a long time so I don't feel I have to act like a WWE announcer or a tatted out wannabe tough guy. With time you might find that to be a good thing. Maybe....
Yeah, I am hoping something will kick off soon. On the other hand I want to keep working on some ideas I have before I have people telling me what to do and ruining some of the creativity.
whats wrong with the reporters voice ... sounds messed up

exodia94 2 years ago
i do believe he said "bucks". no way you could get world class training for 12 USD a week.
carcharodonoodle 2 years ago
it is bucks not bath, forget it
training is about 400 bath a day in most "normal " camps so this one can be 500 or more a session
look it up on their site

He ought to be. He would be awesome. His style with his nasty kicks and hard punches would be tailor made for K-1
fightjapanrc 2 years ago
Actually that would be K max and not K 1---K 1 is for Heavyweights.
This Fairtex is snob Muay Thai--the BKk one is much better, it's just the Pataya Sex tourists than jam prices up down there
christopheclugston 2 years ago
i think yod would prefer fighting under thai rules than k-1 rules
