@LocalRailfan I would say that maybe Franz (the connection with CP) is a little more than half way. Oba is almost all the way, and just south of Hearst. The end of the ACR. At Hearst, it connects with the ONR out of Cochrane. The line use to be the CN Transcon line, but severed west of Hearst. Thanks for watching...
@LocalRailfan, 1jackdk Technically at Hawk Junction (mile 164.6) the line was split into the Soo sub (south part) and the Northern sub. So this video is not on the Soo sub at all (except that today CN runs the whole thing as the "Soo sub".)
So technically, this is taken a little north of the halfway point of the railway, but it's near the beginning of the Northern sub, not the Soo sub.
The train's destination, Oba is at mile 244.7. Hearst Jct., the end of the line, is mile 294.7
