Two things why leaving for me would be worth it.

1- There are billions of websites out there and if this filter passes, millions will get blocked accidentally, or intentionally. In some countries, facebook and twitter are blocked and both of these sites can be used to transmit stuff rudd and conroy don't want us to see. So if they desire, they will block that.

2- It would be a small protest of how the government treats us and the filter might even inspire others to leave as well.

It's more than that. It's the very fact that the government can decide what we can and can't see. They will abuse this thing to their heart's desire. I hate it when people say "oh it's just RC material, get over it". It's more than that. They can block anything. Torrent sites, debating forums, even facebook if they have to. to you facebook is protected but you can transmit a lot using facebook- incriminating photos, messages and videos that could expose things the government hates us to see.

Well that's true. I am making an assumption. Based on events in history. How governments use major problems to get something major introduced and then once it's in place, they use it on other things. I may be wrong. But there is still a large resistance to this filter and i want to see that poll. Because out of the dozens of people i speak to regularly, about 2 of them know about this filter. And these are people who rely on the news btw. And the news isn't reporting the filter at all.
