  • Simply put, the greatest band ever.

  • awesome!!!!! haven't seen this video for years! rock on fishbone!

  • Everyday Sunshine: The Story of Fishbone , supposed to be good film. my OPINION on fishbone... which is MY opinion and am ENTITLED to have. This isnt a great debut song. i have heard many bands promise so much, but there debut songs were better than this. i would make this an album song.

  • @THATSTHATPROD12 Debut song? dude they formed in 1979.

  • @Proweys part at ground zero is there debut. surprised a big fan like you wouldnt tell me that. well fan, you should go of and buy a early Madness album and ask yourself...is One step beyond from 1976 a huge influence on there first song....i think it is.

  • Love Fishbone! Fuck Vevo!!

  • What music of today hits you in the chest and gut like this?

  • Astounding. This band should have broke mega but people are fucking eartarded. And its a shame that Kendall went nuts.

  • @flickerman68 Madness had done things in ska fishbone couldnt bring any further.People are not eartarded just have high expectations.

  • The great thing about these guys is they are all multi-instrumentalists and they can all sing. So talented.

  • @Kkrouton also they genre hop like hell xD

  • First Fishbone song I ever heard-love on first hear!

  • I just found these guys because Norwood Fisher was featured in this months "Bassplayer Magazine"... Man these guys are good... Isn't there something wrong with the fact that I have to find these guys via a musicians publication, rather that the RADIO...??? which I almost never even listen to anymore...

  • @Bassballs5 Yeah. You almost NEVER hear these guys on the radio unless it's some college station. All we get on mainstream radio is Justin Bieber.

  • @Kkrouton Yeah, I've been calling it, "The dumbing down of the American listener" for twenty years now... I'm greatful to have enjoyed my impressionable years in the 60's & 70's... Ya know, they do the same thing with television too... another medimum I haven't used in years... It's encouraging to see that bands like Fishbone are still out there. Even though acts like, (I say "acts" not "bands") Black eyed peas play the Superbowl Halftime Shows... LMAO...! ! !

  • @Bassballs5 Me too - I'd barely heard of them till I saw the BP article. How did I miss this band? I'd give my left nut to play in a band this tight.

  • @hrodbert696 After reading his article in BP, I thought, not only is this guy a world class player in a world class band... He seems like a pretty cool dude to hang out with... Unpretentious and sincere... Great magazine BP... but if it gets any thiner...???

  • @hrodbert696 : I truly miss the 90's...seeing bands like Fishbone, 24-7 Spyz, Living Colour, & Bad Brains: all LIVE, is something I will never forget and will always miss...

  • @anina114 Dude! Dude! Preeeeach!! :)

  • @anina114

You do know Fishbone is still going right? Quality live!

  • @Bassballs5 Fish is a god!

  • Norwood has a fucking cello. Classic.

  • six people are lady gaga fans...

  • WHAT A FUCKING MASTERPIECE! JUMP AND SHOUT IT OUT!

  • Sounds very similar to Steve Vai's project, Vai...with Devin Townshend singing. Same kind of energy. Not to take away from this...this rocks!

  • Oh...and a little trivia...Spike Lee directed this video.

  • Greatest Rock song ever recorded...and I'm completely serious when I say this.

  • I saw a band called Mangoseed with this crazy energy I love. They got some song called standing on high.

  • @TerraAcox i pity you

  • this screams 90s

  • I saw Fishbone last nite in DC. The show opened with a 90 minute documentary about them. Then it went into a q and a session. Then Fishbone played for about an hour. They were great. I wish I had known about them back in the day when they had all the original members.

  • @userneedsname I was there too! Great show. 1st saw them in 1993 at lalapalooza.

  • @userneedsname I was there too. They tore down the lincoln. I've seen them several times since 94 but that was one for the ages.

  • Putain de bordel de merde ! TF1 a repris le riff de cette chanson pour le générique de l'émission de Canteloup... VDM !

  • progresssssssssssive

  • Didn't know Spike Lee directed this

  • takes me right back...what fukin tune man!

  • What a fukken GREAT song!! Always loved this.

    Peace.

  • truely classic

  • just...freakshow awesomen ess...ridiculous energy, thunderous bass line on the fretless...crazy keys, pure chunk from 6-string land....it really doesn't get any better than this if you want anthem-rock. this song was the best I've heard from this band though, I don't think they did this style much, and if I'm right, it's a classic case of a band not recognizing their own strengths!

  • @SirThomaas Excellent insight.

  • Saw these guys live a few times it is was always just pure awesome.

  • can this song get anymore epic?

    impossible.

  • It doesn't get loud because the production on this album sucks. The shoddy production was the first thing that hit me when I heard this track back in 91. Cool band, though.

  • soul food!

  • I saw Fishbone about 2 months ago and they were so great. Fuckin amazing live band.

  • This fuckin sucks. These vevo videos won't load.

  • Why can't it go louder?! FUCK YOU STUPID LAPTOP SPEAKERS AND EAR SAFE HEADPHONES! WHY DO I EVEN HAVE THE LATTER?

  • What albumn is this? I love this kind of jam

  • Want to know why this band is not a world-wide household name?! Check Out- "Electric Purgatory: The Fate of the Black Rocker"

The music industry robbed not only Fishbone (to name one of many skilled artists&bands) but they also robbed all of us Would of been and HOPE TO BE Fans&Consumers of Great Music!

Let Fishbone among others explain it to you. I would hope the world

has evolved to a better place, and my wish is that this band come Forward,

Stand Tall&Rock us into the New Millenium

  • soundsgoodman.jpg

  • @takeahintmusic not as bad as this band does

  • 5 mother fuckers are so fucking retarded & deaf...!!!

  • What a poweful song...!!! Fishbone rules...!!!

  • this is absolutely terrible and retarded

  • @weepingbuddharecords

    YOU SUCK

  • that solo sounded soo much like Jane's Addiction.

  • long live the nineties

  • Great bass guitar & drum lines!!!!

  • i like this video.

  • all i can say is a big FUCK YEAH !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Interesting band

  • Ah...this takes me back...

  • Energy! Energy! Energy! Wow! How'd I miss this in the 90's? Fishbone rules. Modern music should take a lesson. Stuff like this should top the charts.

  • @MrSteredd You should have been to one of their shows back in the day....talk about energy...it was in insanity....one of the greatest show I've been too..

  • @MrSteredd No shit. First time I heard of this band was 5 minutes ago. I can only imagine how much better my teen life would have freaking been, if it had had this as its sound track. WTF. AH well, at least its something good I haven't heard. I can get into it now without messed up nostalgia. Here's to fresh fucking goods

  • @MrSteredd : This music was from my college days and I can't believe it was that long ago...it's nice to see a new generation that's now hip to Fishbone! Peace.

  • @MrSteredd i still see them from time to time, here in san diego

  • my favorite song GREAT BAND.

  • why can't all black people make music like this?

  • @bigmoney4635 Go fuck yourself. Not sure if you realize the amount of bigotry in that sentence.

  • @TheAngrySandwich i'm not sure you realize how misinformed you are. i am not hating on anybody. i just don't enjoy the hip hop crap of today which happens to be mostly written by black people. but i'll be the first to admit that B.B. king and jimi hendrix practically invented the modern style of guitar playing in rock music. and every rcok band since owes alot to them. no bigotry in my perspective.

  • @bigmoney4635 Ok maybe I shouldn't have told you to go fuck yourself, but still the fact remains you believe all black people should abandon the several styles of music they've been practicing for years, just so they can create music that suits to YOUR liking. The fact that you didn't say just PEOPLE in general is what leads me to believe that your views on black people as a whole are somewhat misguided. It's also such a false generalization...

  • @TheAngrySandwich No, you were right to tell him to eff himself, 100%. Not all black people make music, and to generalize and entire race is ignorant

  • I used to have this record. Loved this song...

  • This album is 20 years old and the music world still hasn't caught up with it..

  • 4 people have no clue what good music is

  • Fishbone just rocks. I saw them last year when they kicked off their world tour and just loved it. Very few people understand or know what I am talking about when I talk about Ska or who Fishbone is.

  • Ever since high school, my fav next to Bad Brains!

  • Reminds me of Starcraft

  • @Hypotermi In what way xD?

  • @evildogheretic Search for Starcraft terrain theme and you'll see. Eventually

  • @evildogheretic Terran*

  • good fucking song.

  • Saw these lastnight in Cardiff, they still got it. This was the highlight of the show for me, they rocked that shit.

  • Damn.......These guys are fucking awesome....That is all....

  • Going to see them tomorrow night in Brighton for the first time - can't wait!

  • Name ONE band today that can rock this hard and yet be so beautiful today?

  • @mindstormsabrewin good question, and I can't answer it. They combine so many elements of music and always bring their A-game when they perform live.

  • Damn, that's how you play the bass.

  • I don't quite remember how I stumbled across them, but I'm glad I did. I wish more people knew of them so they could have more support.

  • dunno bout fishbone before, but now i know i seen the light....

  • I forgot how good this song was.

  • Someone posted that Fishbone is a Sublime cover band? I don't know whether to laugh or cry at that statement...

  • @Skeeterbag Laugh now, cry later, because it seems that music has gotten progressively worse over the years. Twenty years from now, I can only imagine how bad things will be

  • My favorite 'bone tune! Awesome!

Love the little horn solo @ the end.

Saw them is SoCal in the early 90's....badass show!

  • My favorite 'bone tune! Awesome!

  • well u know what they say... FISHBONE IS RED HOT!!!

  • Forget about Muse, Radiohead, Coldplay... FISHBONE IS THE REAL DEAL !

  • Ah, back when funk metal was a novel idea.

  • Nice, reminds me of Faith No More and early RHCP. I likes it! :D

  • I used to play this song on my radio show at Fort Irwin, CA in the early 90's. These guys can really play. Fishbone rocks!

  • Norwood is a freaking genius!

  • I JUST saw Fishbone live at a club in detroit. Yes they're still at it, but I think this may be their farewell tour. They haven't lost it one bit, it was the rockingest craziest show I've ever been to-they opened with this song, and just exploded.

  • lol these guys influenced Sublime and MANY others. Fuck what the sheep say.

  • Seeing them with Slightly Stoopid next week!

  • how can this be that underated? :o

  • please ...come to chile

  • I can only WISH that I could rock a solid mohawk like Angelo Moore...

  • @Skeeterbag I would have to grow considerably more hair..and well........

  • The 'fish bone' badasses are the most underated / ahead of thier time warp, whatever you thought you heard and thought was new today was inventer 15 yrs ago.. classic goodness.

  • The lyrics to this song blow away 99% of today's mainstream drivel.

  • The world is large people don't wait for mtv or fucking vevo or some fucking corporate radio station to bring music to you.

  • The world is large people don't for mtv or fucking vevo to bring music to you.

  • WOW I CLICKED ON THE 311 PLAYLIST AND BOOM, AWESOMNESS!!!

  • saw them in chicago at the METRO in 83 or 84 . they tore the place apart. amazing.

  • all hail fishbone! i saw these guys at the first Lollapalooza in Dallas Tx. 91-92. good times.

  • this is 91? crazy! Ive only seen 3 fishbone videos so far, I'm a sublime fan, and Ive got to say these guys rock the fuckin house. amazing everything from expression, creativity, musical talent, and energy.. these guys play ska and rock and probably more i don't know yet, what happened? i would give anything to hear quality music like this on the radio these days.. fuck the rest, you know who i mean, i dont have to list artist names.

  • Beautiful ending to a song.

  • I wonder when someone's gonna grow a brain and realize by going to vevo your gonna see their ad, If you don't like it, Find another video of this or shut the *F* up

  • FUCK VEVO!!!!!! AND FUCK RIHANNA.

  • great, great song, crappy video.

  • BEAUTIFUL

  • fishbone one of the greatest bands in music history

  • FISHBONE...PLEEZ REUNITE!

  • calm down there both good bands (fishbone and sublime) why are you guys even arguing kinda pointless...

  • I saw them play this on Saturday Night Live years ago.(pretty sure that was the show)

It was fucking great. They really belted it out.

  • thats my boy kendall

  • i guess 2 people don't like bony fish.....what an insult to a legendary cult band.

    hell yea to fishbone!!!!

  • They're amazing

  • 95' and on SUCKS!!!!! Music wise.

Think About it. Bradley Nowel died and Fish Bone kinda faded out.

now all this fucking pop and rap shit is around and its terrible

what happened to Ska, Punk, Reggae and stuff.

  • @seabass, they announced a concert a bit over a year ago on an fm station and thats whats someone called them... sad fu****s...

  • song just blew me away XD

  • If you ever went to a Fishbone show between '86-'95 . . . then you saw a show! Trust and believe those were not "Bring A Nazi Night!" And, if you did . . . may God have had mercy on your soul!!! Hahahahaha! - DCBB/DCHC '84-Life.

  • Well the band was considered too white for black radio and black for white radio. They were something of their own. Shame too....people should explore music rather than just hang around mainstream radio all the time....might find something they like.....kinda like this.

  • @Joltzz1984 Indeed!

  • @Joltzz1984 Sounds very familiar Joltzz or should I say Sachmo!

  • @fishbone919 Now thats just funny..........just funny.

  • @Joltzz1984

Fishbone videos use to come on MTV from time to time, and the rock stations down here in Texas used to play this song on the radio. But this was back in the early '90s.

  • @jkbezo damn now they dont even play em anymore out here in texas like its really that bad cuz you damn they wont be played on black radio

  • @Dallas8709

    Huh?

    Because of me?

  • @Dallas8709

I (me personally) don't control what is played on radio in Texas. Rock, urban, classic, oldies, etc stations. LOL

Shit, the radio industry (mostly mainstream) has changed a lot since the early '90s as to what they play and different variety with Djs having more of a choice what to play instead of givin a list by the suit and tie guys they do now. Things have gotten more corporate. Don't put the blame on me. LOL

  • @Joltzz1984 right on man. right on!

  • One of the most overlooked bands ever. Saw them at University of Buffalo in '91. AMAZING!!!!! Best mosh pit ever

  • this is talent

  • sweet song mangagagagag

  • This band is crazy good live...

  • MORE VIEWS !!!!!

  • Did anybody see this guys at Skafest in Victoria BC on July 10?

  • This band is untouchable!

  • It's criminal that this band isn't more well known.

  • the intro to this song is one of the best. gorgeous yet energy filled acoustic, then drooop fuckin low growl....intense all the way!!!

  • these dudes are still one of my favorite bands to listen to!

  • woooooooooooooooooooooooo kick ass songggggggggggggg

  • fuck fuckin vevo Fishbone for the win

  • The influence of the prog rock band Yes is really strong on this track.

  • wow.... why did america lose interest in fishbone? saw them last year and they were no less great or energetic. and for people who know them as a sublime cover band (i heard someone say that recently ) eat a taint!!!!!!!!

  • @roccom80 Bravo sir... Yes! Eat a taint indeed! A sticky wet one! Fishbone will NEVER die!

  • @roccom80

America never had interest in Fishbone..underground music listeners surely did tho and knew who they were..back then too many ppl were just afraid of that sound, heavy beats, horns, lots of keyboards..singer black dude with mohawk..lol...back then ppl i think just couldn't handle any music in that genre where noone in the band had high poofy hair, well, minus a cpl, few if any spandex, covered in makeup like other artists around that time

  • @roccom80 Sublime cover band?!?!?!? Find that fool and beat his ass!! Who cares if America lost interest, I never have!!! : )

  • @roccom80 agreed. how can anyone but an idiot think that this sounds anything like sublime? Fishbone is something all its own and it's amazing.
