I've finally figured out this amazing trick. 0:21 - The section of table simply pushes forwards or hinges, which is hidden by his arms, and allows him to reach the start of the white at 0:39. Edit while they close the section behind him. The white section of table is basically a white pull-shade tied in front, and one behind him. The camera angle, arms and clothes hides the shade moving through to 1:35. Edit for him to leave the table. At 1:39 he is further forward having already left the table.
