Do you agree with one of Stephen Strausburg's mechanics. I believe on baseball tonight, they were talking about his glove arm with the way his front leading arm(his glove arm" and I think they were saying with his arm they said he was going up then out, instead of what most pitchers, they start around and keep going around. I'm not sure how to describe this, can you look into it? I know all pitchers are different and unique, but Strausburgs arm looks like that will cause him to open up early.
Id like to hear you elaborate on how different body types have different effecient mechanics ( i think optimal would be a better word than efficient). Like can you list some specific examples? How should mechanics change from a tall to short pitcher to reach "optimal mechanics" for each?
@gatorjoe12 wow your cool what do you know about the game? this guy actually does know what hes talking about hes givin me some tips that have led me to improve.
@FSDR1994 same with me!!! i went from a scrap pitcher who threw high 50's MPH in 7th grade to a 65-70 MPH starting pitcher in less than a year... and he helped me develop my sinker and mostly my change-up... he knows exactly what hes talking about! thanks paul!
PAUL, i live in Syracuse. home of the chiefs. ive seen him start 3 times. The problem is that in syracuse the radar gun only mesures to 99. so he through a lot of 99ers.
His command of that "100 mph" fastball is the most impressive part which is something that many young pitchers can work on instead of thinking just about velocity.
