some of the less popular violinists are often more intense and darn right awesome players than the famous ones,for example oistrakh,famous for heavy and solid sound and a fierce and serious attitude when playing is far under kogan who was much less famous but had a more solid and deep sound on ALL strings and in ALL positions with a purer and more stable vibrato than oistrakh and a gangsta look on his face when playing.
