@Tabish29 in my oppinion... Ronnie! when he is right with himself there is nobody who can stop him. his head is his problem... and that is the fact that he didn´t win more than 3 times the WC. the natural talent of ronnie is the best in the world... he change the cue and make a 147 with it a few days later in 2010... for any other player it would be a desaster change his cue!! but not ronnie... right or lefthanded... brilliant and genie! if he wants to battle... than he is the best! my opinion

@Ranjid008 ROS is the best natural talent. No argument there. What about John Higgins? How do you rate Robertson the new world champ? To me he is like a newer stronger version of Hendry.

@Tabish29 Higgins is a great player... but i dont like him very much but thats personal. Robertson is the best at the moment i think but my personal rating is the players at his best and ronnie isnt at his best atm! alex higgins was a great potter too but i dont like his way to play... his whole body was moving during the hit...to watch ronnie at his best is the best ive ever seen! he change his cue and make a 147 a few weeks ago.thats talent! ros play look simply perfekt when he is at his best

Shite like this completely puts me off ronnie. Everytime he loses, he, and now all the commentators do it, blame it on ronnies form being poor, he has psychological problems, any bullshit. Its amazing, they even said here that he lost to Hendry in 2002 because of a "bitter row". Like that fucked his head up and he couldn't play, he played amazing in that match. And in the last session, with the pressure on, Hendry outplayed him. Because when it matters, Hendry was too good. ronnie crumbles.

@adronias Nicely said. People are always making excuses for Ronnie and he's always making excuses for himself.

Yes he might be the most naturally gifted player ever (whatever that even means), but temprament is all part of being a snooker player and Ronnie simply doesn't have the temprament to be true dominator of the sport like Hendry and Davis were in their respective eras.

This is why I'll never rank him up there with the Stevens. He just isn't good enough all round to be as successful.

No Ronnie was 32 in 2008, 33 in 2009. And Ronnie lost three times to Hendry at the crucible whilst Hendry was in his prime. Hendry is not in his prime anymore.

because this was when they were both good not when hendry was finished in 04 and 08.the same will happen to ronnie in next three years he will find his game going downhill.happens to everyone.

Agreed, the 1999 and 2002 matches were most telling IMO because BOTH were in their primes and playing well, yet Hendry won on both occassions. And Hendry's competition was strong in his 7 world title wins.

Ronnie's a special talent, the sport will continue after he's gone but there will be a void. Murphy, Maguire, Ding, Trump etc don't have the same aura and magic.
