Just plug the scanner into the USB port of your MAc and it should work. It also comes with some MAC software.

question for you. I am new to scanning so forgive me. I had an artist draw me a picture/sketch in an 8x10 size. It is a basic drawing of a baseball player done in color pencil. Can I scan the 8x10 to where I can later enlarge it to a poster in around a 18x24 size? Does a scanner allow me to scan an 8x10 in high quality so I can later print it out into poster size without much quality loss?

I hear that this scanner is fast. The Epson Perfection V600 is slower but does deviver higher quaility. But I will still probably get the Canon I am a big Canon user and I can get the Canon 9000f for $175.00 on Amazon and the Epson V600 is $199.99.
