Great to see somebody knows where the real ould shtuff is at.
ComHalt all of the reso of us Irish from playing our own shtuff at all, is all you will get from those thugs!
CCE is a political organization, Art by committee, jazus! They have nearly ruined what little was left in the emigration depopulated rest of Ireland except De Valeras pet counties.
The less said that better for now. But there has to be a day of reckoning!
I remember my nana (from Co. Roscommon) lining up us kids and teaching us a lot of these steps! We grew up on the Clancy Brothers and her version of the old songs, some of which are now available (much to my surprise!) via iTunes (Check out Altan, Mary and Frances Black, the two "EIST" albums, Sinead O'Connor's Sean Nos Nua [sorry - no fadas on this keyboard!] and the great Christy Moore, who on occasion sings in Irish). I wish we had learned more. Nana - I hope you're happy in heaven!
Why would they need to learn Irish, Gaelge, ? hardly anybody there speaks it or knows how to. I went to school in Ireland and it was more or less beaten into us as kids. I still hate the sound or sight of it.
Don't be getting yer drawers in a knot! Believe me when I say it, you probably never met a person with such a good memory so very well I know its twat not twit, well you got the message.
Hey lady at least he's learned it somewhere! It's important for our language to be spoken in any form, any where! No matter how poorly it was taught, it's good to see that it is alive.
I would be inclined to agree with you, but read what he said ; he hates the very sight and sound of the language, and resents the fact that he was forced to learn it in school. He insulted the person who commented before for being impressed that those Japanese people loved the music and dancing, and needed only to learn Irish to be totally authentic. He deserved to be snapped at.
Oh my gosh, no! I did not read that. I'm not that fluent yet. Please forgive me for snapping at you for snapping at him!! He deserved that. Anyone can take part of the lovely Irish dance. Nice harp playing btw. Sorry again!! :(
No problem! :) ... and congratulations for studying the language! I studied with a private tutor for 3 years before money issues forced me to give it up. I miss it! Glad you enjoyed the harp vids!
I heard that there was a comhaltas branch over there. Just thought it was cool to see another comhaltas branch on you tube if you guys are a branch. I'm part of the branch in Alabama. By the way great job on the dancing and music....it sounds and looks great!
We are the current downtrodden Irish underclass of non accepted musicians, spud gobblers, Podeshtants whom are the target of hate mail from the likes of Princhios Mac Omadawhn ( real name Oliver Twatslither Anglo Irish ex peasant beater and murderer ). We are the folks that brouht you Irish crack, Brendan Behan and the Fiddling Tinker. In our world the CCE is the Priest at the Pattern, if you get that, which I very much doubt.

Nach iontach é Seapanaigh ag déanamh damhsaí. I think the guy dancing is Japanese. Cé h-hé? Who is he? He is
good as are the musicians. Maybe, they should come to Ireland. All they need is to learn some Irish! Cupla focal Gaeilge a fhoghlaim :)

Correction: 'cÚpla focal GHaeilge'. Learn it yourself before you go telling the Japanese what to do!
