Go to Wikipedia and read about how "honest" James Crowley was in his police report about Gates. He said the lady said "their were two black males with backpacks at the scene". When the dispatcher report came back, it came out that she really said "She thought one looked hispanic and she couldn't make out the other one". Anybody who thinks Crowley is not at fault for any of this is very naive. Both him and Gates are at fault.

Obama shouldn't apologize for his comments about Gates. Gates should not have been arrested because he verbally insulted the police officer. I don't think the officer was racist and I believe Gates shouldn't have called him that. I think Gates should apologized for calling the cop racist and the police department should have apologized for arresting him after they found out that Gates lived there. I have seen cops get cursed out and they just live it alone. As a teacher, I have been cursed out.

When cops respond to a B&E, they usually search the house and ask the person to come outside to make sure hes not being threatened or forced to tell the cops something. It's all fair and fine to throw opinions from a long way away - but my response is triggered because the exact same thing happened to me. I climbed in through my window cause I'd lost my key and had the cops come round and yet on the same road many (white)students do this repeatedly with nary a worry. I also went a long way to prove it was my house even though it became evident with my photos, passport etc they still wanted to fingerprint me, no doubt to run against every unsolved crime

my point is, just the same as not every black or latino is a criminal, not every cop is a racist. Most people only heard "white cop arrests black man" and yelled foul. No one cares about the truth, only blaming cops. The biggest concern I have is when guilty people use the race card, that's the reason true victims of racial profiling are doubted. This is a proven case of non-racial profiling. but most cop haters are gonna disagree, because that's just what they do.
