  • The iron ore doesn't belong to Liberia just because it's on Liberian soil. The iron ore belongs to those who are strongest to exploit this natural resource

  • @WarmongerWW3 Which time and age do you live in? the stone aged? thats what it sounds like. Now, when ever you think about coming to invest in my country, you better leave that slave master ways of thinking behind. Becuase, if you bring that kind of thinking to Liberia, you might not last long.

  • @marck224 Take a good look at Liberia. "My way" is already there.

  • @WarmongerWW3 keep dreaming and think that your way is the only way and there's never a time that change will come. Becuase of your belief, it's hard for you to recognize reality. Have you ever heard about BRICS? now, gone are the days when the West controled and exploited my country. For every Western company in Liberia, there's a Brazilan, Russians, Indian, Chinise, and South African company to compete. It's competition that will drive the economy of the new Liberia and not exploitation. So...

  • Dubai land size-3,890 sq km, 2.9million population, and only 4billion barrels of oil. Liberia land-size 111,370 sq km, 3.4million population, 50+billion barrels offshore oil, rubber, timber, oil palm, tourism, second longest coastal beaches, gold, diamonds, iron ore, buxite, birate, uranium, plantinium, heavy mineral beach sand, tin, zinc, lead, copper, cobalt, second largest shiping regestry in the world next to Panama, and the list goes on. Enougth wealth for us all, but AA's need to join in..

  • @marck224 None of the raw materials would matter much if there isn't a plan for exporting with international corporations. Those living in developed countries are the best marketers which either work for or own Gas stations, Jewelry Exchange and Tourist Businesses. Its a matter of looking for those serious about marketing for Liberia in a way of raw materials spokesman. All it would take is a presentation manual with dividers labeled and letterhead explaining focus of are of expertise.

  • @zjones1222 we have been down that road of an export base economy before. It hasn't change anything. Take to consideration that these same coporations that come to invest are thoes very ones who determine the global market price of our mineral resources. Though they don't own these resources, however, they are the ones that set the prices. This kind of system has never helpt us move foward and wont change anything now. We need to move from a raw material export economy to a manufacturing base...

  • @marck224 I agree with you 100%. Unfortunately, exportation of natural resources has been Africa's contribution to the world since the white man first stepped foot on its soil. As long as we continue to export our natural resources we will never fully benefit from the profits much less have control or say in the global market.

  • @topmodel5k Thank you sweet heart. I have come to the point where I'm sick and tired of other people exploiting us for little of nothing. Enougth is enougth. And this is not just about country Liberia, it's about all of Africa.

  • @zjones1222 listing the various areas of expertise of AA's will be a good idea. It will help the government better decide how thoes expertise can compansite our areas of need. With that been said, we also have to look beyond the marketing aspect of raw materials to ways to start manufacturing base industries in timber, rubber, iron ore, gold, diamonds, oil, agriculture products, fishery, etc. Marketing is one part of it but manufacturing is the most important part....

  • @marck224 Manufacturing is almost nonexistent in America due to the housing market. Innovative strategies may help with use of natural creation of products with timber, rubber, iron and agricultural products. Fishery is in a shortage not only in West Africa but also the United States it does look like fishery will be a market of interest unless their is a creation of inland farming of fish.

  • dis video is great, but i disagree wit dis dual currency economy. ellen is an economist from havard degree. if she dont adress dis dual currency issue, our economy will take 4ver 2 recover. imagin tryin 2 fill a barralle wit open bottom, da water will not hold, foriegners will do business n take their money out. dont forget nigerian n ghanian r hustlin 2 return home just like we r in da US. do sumting quick our socall educated ones.

  • @zinnahblatee80 I agree with you hundred percent especially when the US curency has no freekin value only depending on selling bonds which has led to an exorbitant amount deficit that is becoming so uncontrollable by the munite. But it will all change very soon as Liberians in other parts of the world return home with the education and experiences the've acquired so as to help develop our nation. We will also need to restrict foreigners who enters and leave our country as well.

  • dis video is great but da only satement i strongly disagree wit is da dual currency point made by dis nigerian or ghanian dude. ellen n her currupt friends should start doin something about dis quickly. 2 hav a dual currency is not something we should proud off xcept they want 2 continue business asusual(steeling).

  • @zinnahblatee80 especially knowing how rich and small we are. They want to exploit us. It's time for us to open our eyes and protect what God has given us. Hence, many nations are willing to fight and kill for what lies under our land and sea. Liberia is rich but we also have to think ahead. With $26billion dollars sign into law already that covers different areas of investments, it's good and we welcome it but when it's only about the extraction of raw materials, than it's a problem for Liberia

  • @marck224 Your brothers and sisters in the African American community love you and are ready to join you and building our great nation together. We are here you have to knock some AA's over the head sometimes.I think many want the easy route to Africa Ghana,South Africa,Nigeria. But a growing number of people are seeing Liberia as a hope for African Americans to be in a Black country.

  • @makkool I know makkool...you own pah, I have sent the info to your email like five times....no repply from you!... so, please give me a different email address....check your inbox. I'm about to sent you something and please tell me what you think because I'm not too sure how many AA's or whites are involve. Thats my fear.

  • @makkool thats true makkool...I'm waiting for the day that we will open manufacturing industries in Liberia selective economic zones and having a vibrant stock market in full operation. Every Liberian can become a millionier soon if we put the right laws in place and regulate foreign businesses in our country. We will also need to limit the exploitation of our mineral wealth by Western coporations. There are so many opportunities in Liberia that can make each of us rich if we put our............

  • Cont. Chinese work lower class 18 hours in manufactoring of jeans. Output demands from Liberians in extracting natural resource and the safety regulations may be a problem with China. Its less likely that China would attack a small country but its important to realize that land ownership could destroy the environment so inspection would need to meet standards. Libera is in for an uphill battle in regulating foriegn business but they will suceed if African Americans help them.

  • @zjones1222 Why should we allow AA's to help us?

  • @marck224 Your question is not a beginning of talks nor a solution to an argument.

  • @zjones1222 I know it has been and will continue to be an interesting agument as long as it involves the nation Liberia and AA's due to the history of our country that dates back to 1847. I only asked this question because you stated that Libera was in for a serious battle in regulating foriegn business that entered our country but could succed if we allow African Americans to help us. My question to you now is, why ask AA's if we could ask our Ghanians, Nigerians, or South Africans brothers?

  • @marck224 Why ask AA's if we could ask our Ghanians, Nigerians, or South Africans brothers?

African Americans are the true broken link between Liberia. America stopped funding the country in the 1960's after the Civil Rights Movement. It looks like black Americans wanted to be taken seriously in America not only in employment but politically as well. After such African Americans have not forgotten home which is Liberia, Africa. Time is now to help those generations ago who left America.

  • @zjones1222 I agree. But zjones, not many of our AA's brothers and sisters know that and the internet is right here to help them learn what they ever the need to know so as to help them take courage and hope and stand up for what is due them. We are ready to work and move things foward with the help of you guys. But I don't know how! Look at what 4billion barrels of oil, with out any other natural resources what so ever did for for Dubai with a population 2.9 plus million people.

  • Its prudent that Liberia build laws to prevent corruption of foriegn business dealings. Tariffs with trade and lower taxation of corportions may be of influence in Liberia but those measures must be met with strick caution with Europeans. Chinese are a hugh investor in Liberia but it should also be known that labor structure of China is much different than anything Liberians would be use to. That's why its important to restrict the rules and regulations of those foriegn interest.

  • @zjones1222 I agree 100%.

  • buyer beware

  • Point blank Liberians need to invest in Liberia, Africans need to invest in Africa. Dont be mad when others want to invest in ur country...if we had the mind to prosper our ppl instead of selfish gains, and foolish division then their wouldnt have been a war and Liberia would be better off....Liberians abroad need to come back home/or atleast invest in Liberia instead of waiting for the country to magically recover over night,,,EVERYONE EXPECTS RESUlTS BUT NOONE WANTS TO DO THE WORK....

  • I love Liberia!!

  • The ppl seem eager to work and earn. Once China was a nothing and now they are a great nation, all it took was 20-25 yrs to turn their plight around. Any country with ppl who are eager and willing to succeed, will. Let's see in 20-25 yrs where Liberia will be.

  • Man, I'm a whitie, and even I don't like the sound of this video. Why, Liberia, when you have lifted yourself out or warfare mud do you want to lower yourself back into the capitalism mud? The idea of equality in capitalism is a furphy; a fallacy; a lie. Very best wishes...

  • Every thing comes WITH A PRICE people. Realize that. When whites are interested in your success as a nation it means that they alternately want to CONTROL it. THE DAY WILL COME, when we will have to battle these people for our own land and ownership of our own resources. JUST LIKE BEFORE,

  • marck224 - and where will you get the finance to develop these resources? Liberia does not have $billions in the bank which are needed to bring these projects into production. Being open and willing to trade and willing to accept forign invesment, in both funds and skills is beneficial. You name me a country that is isolationist and that does not welcome forign investment that has done well?

  • modernhumble, why would you visit a country that jus came from war and expect it to be brilliant? dnt worried, nobody even forcing to go back. As you can see Liberia is recovering, and i thank the lord for given 'we' the liberian the strenght and couraged for moving forward.

  • Look at how nigeria and chana impoved....they have good houses like overseez...Liberia is not even impoved yet.Wake the fuck up liberians

  • how come they all speak perfect english

  • Right, can we say gov't approved...

  • Well US did help form the country.

  • @modernhumble they speak liberian english. the people that work in offices and all that and the president. were properly educated. people on the street speak liberian english. wich is just with an liberian accent and some words added and some words taken out. thats all.

  • I hope foreign investors understand that this new Liberia will be built by only we Liberians. This means that we will no more focuss on exporting our raw natural resources like before but will now make sure that our Iron Ore, Gold, Diamonds, Platinum, Uranum, Rothium, Nickle, Copper, Colbert, Zinc, Crude Oil, Timber, Rubber, Oil Palm, etc, will have to be process in Liberia before being exported. Our 3.5million population can live a better live while protecting all the wealth God has given us.

  • my dream is all the blacks in America that hate America will move to Liberia. Please go to your homeland.

  • These are your ancestors who went to snap the black yonder

  • Miinistry of Information and Tourism need to post this on int'l media like CNN, ABC.BBC etc to attract people back to our country. Beautiful country.

  • i have been to liberia and it was the worst and most dangerous country i ever visited i would never go back not even for a million dollars

  • @modernhumble maybe cus it is still recorvering from war. why would you go to country that has just had a war. abviously it wont be the perfect holiday. they are building the country again. it wasnt always like that. the war changed everything. but they are re-building. and itll be great!

  • So keep watching these propaganda videos folks, keep believing that a new age of prosperity and peace is upon us, keep hoping for the new dawn under African skys. It's not coming: "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised".

You see people, there is no getting away from the fact that if we truely want freedom and peace and prosperity for our nation - for our continent - we will one day have to fight these people. Just as they fought us for our land and our resources.

    God Bless Our Country

  • @imonk1980 Then what the hell are you doing?Besides giving lip service to Africa.Get an education, come to Africa and invest.

  • ...pander to wicked Americans. It is a tried and tested model of imperial engagement in Africa: every few years destablise the system, undermine democractic institutions, create a culture of dependency, outsource the resources, profit from the debt, and when the whole thing becomes too bloated or you can no longer control the incumbant regime, repeat the cycle again.

  • What exactly are we celebrating here? The fact the a new scramble for liberia heart has begun or that fact that it will again be presided over by the three Ws: Weak Leadership, Wicked Americans, and the Wasted Generations.

The circumstances of our our nations birth was such that the focus was on those who arrived rather than those who were already there: "The Love of Liberty Brought Us Here".

And so it will be again because every weak generation brings forth weak leaders who in turn...

  • that it will again be presided over by the three Ws: Weak Leadership, Wicked Americans...yep, those wicked yanks, never did ANYTHING good! Well, they did CREATE your fucking Liberia for you primatives to pound into the dirt, but we'll not go into that cough cough!!!

  • this is a great story, when so many countires in africa are in turmoil, stories like this inspire greatness and i wish nothing but the best for these people.

  • Hmm Liberia or China? thats a close one...

  • THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO.
