I don;t believe for one second that scientology will gain any more power than this. People will wake up to this. There are still too many people now that hate scientology. Too many ex scilons speaking out. Too much documentation that incriminates them and their history. I believe with all this proof out on the internet, ppl will eventually wake up from all this. Rspecially if the protests keep going.
There's a way to get around this. All the major airlines pull this crap if you try to sell your frequent flyer miles on ebay.
Simply fixed this way: Instead of putting "e-meter for sale" put "free access to an e-meter". Put "Up for bid in this auction is information on how you can receive a free e-meter. I am not an affiliate or member of the church of scientology. Please send me a message with any questions. Happy bidding." There's nothing the COS can do about that.
We are going after the dangeriosu practices of disconnect, fair game, ect. We do NOt condone or endorse keeping anyone from worshipping as they would. E-Meters are part of the religious aspect of scientology, which is also used by Free Zone as they practice a 'bullshit free' version of LRH's teachings, which I disagree with but I respect as they are an actual faith rather than a business.
although my comment was humorous in nature, I understand that even government agencies have quarreled with the notion that an e-meter is a religious artifact, but I digress. In saying "aren't they...people" I am just aknowledging the e-meter as a scam tool, only used to solidify the victim/audited indiv.'s belief that scientology is rooted in scientific fact.note the sarcasm in my previous statement.. The Ides of March is at hand. Hail Xenu.
thanks Auntie Khrist, absolutely, each of us should try to out scientologist in every aspect corporate, law enforcement, gov'mntl, media, judicial, legislative, teachers, any and every where let's bring them to the light.
I know they are inside microsoft, practicing their foul ways. They are a vile and noxious fungus that grows in the darkness, hiding away from the light of truth. To kill Shawn Lonsdale and others only gives resolve to those that oppose you exposing cos to the light of justice
Hello. Thanks for posting. :) This is Cappnonymous. I have been working to expose ebay and Paypal related consumer safety & awareness issues now for a bit over one full year. Please view & share some of my related videos, which include documentation of hacking and credit card data dumps on the ebay website & forums, ebay cover-ups, Boycott and much much more.
an e-meter is a religious artifact? since when? it's just a dam tool used to make money~FACT~ come on now not all of us are STUPID salvation comes from within not some say so gadget made in china! LOL
I don't agree. eBay is a company that exists to make money. They can't do that if the Scientology crime syndicate continues to sue them. eBay is just as much as victim of the Scientology organized crime syndicate as everyone else. It would be STUPID to pretend that eBay is some "secondary target."
Perhaps some eBay users would like to ask eBay if Scientology have VeRO and what do they do to prevent it from being used to illegitimately blocking legitimate sales of 2nd hand equipment and media as well as it being used to get user details; which it probably would not be allowed to do otherwise in Europe. (Data protection and all that)
I can see your point NSOH, but aren't you really saying people (companies) should let the Church tell them what to do, because opposing them can be costly? Isn't that one of the problems we have with the CoS, that they get their way by throwing lawyers around?
"...the Church of Scientology has no real legal basis by which to remove eBay listings of e-meters, why would it assert, under penalty of perjury (as it must do to use eBay's VeRO program), that it has "good faith belief" that the listing they are removing constitutes an infringement? "
At a guess, without knowing if they actually have, perhaps just to get the account information in the 1st instance. Worth looking in to, all it seems this video suggests is double checking with ebay what the deal is with scientology.

Actually, this practice ISN'T legal.
EBAY needs to be more thorough in its review of how the VeRO program is being used by scientology.
If HONDA was blocking the resale of used cars, you can bet this would be dealt with swiftly.
This is just another example of the scientology corporation's typically arrogant behavior; they do what they want.
You KNOW they have attorneys and of course are aware that this is illegal.

HOLY CRAP!
Is it legal for EBAY to do this?
CoS is so scary. This needs to be on the news. Write your local news and try to get them to investigate this and run the story.
