@DeSerpunk101 If you go back and watch every trailer, lots and lots of scenes were cut, shortened, or changed . I was understandably pissed when blu-ray came out and they only showed one or two deleted scenes, and an alternate ending and opening.

So, we are left not knowing what happened in those scenes :( Effin Platium Dunes.

2.) .., they keep Freddy in the shadows for most of the movie, and he is much darker, serious and doesn't have any stupid jokes or naff ways of killing people. Jackie Earle Haley is also a very good Freddy (lets not compare to Robert Englund or we'll just keep going around in circles). In my opinion this is one of the better horror reboots that we have had since 'The Mist' (lets forget the awful Texas Chainsaw remake, Friday 13th & Halloween). Lets hope the new 'Child's Play' reboot takes note.

1.) I went to see this movie expecting it to be really bad, I mean, I grew up watching Robert Englund as Freddy Krueger, so how could it be as good as the original? Well, of course it is not as good as Wes Craven's original, but I can tell you it comes very close. Lets imagine that there were never any of the crap sequels (parts 2 -5 and Freddy's Dead & Freddy Vs. Jason......I'll leave out Wes Craven's New Nightmare, cos that was good)....and for a reboot it sticks to the original formula....

Because the people who killed him in the first movie live on Elm street, and he was killed in the fire right,right, so he lives in the Dream world, or to be more specific, the nightmare world, hence the name Nightmare On Elm Street, so since he lives in the dream world, he doesnt live in the human world and he kills them in there sleep because they dream which they say takes them to the dream world, for more info id suggest watching all the movies by searching the net for the movies.

@JamieTrainor This movie was "TECHNICALLY great. It takes more than awesome effect work for a movie to be good. The actor was not at all Freddie Krueger. He did not have a scary voice, he did not look evil, and he spoke like he had a speech impediment. No offense to people with speech impediments, I'm just referring what was wrong with a character. He looked like a burn victim, no offense to burn victims either. He just was not an evil fantasy character, that's what I'm trying to say.
