I dont understand the way some people think...you bomb a plane for what reason? to get a point accross? to make a point? I would say they should put the bomb in thier balls...but guess what! they did that already! These people im sorry if i sound harsh they need to die or disappear...Because of them everywhere is unsafe: airplanes, buses, the subway, even at your job, and evidently even in your homes... I hope everyone who died in Pan am rest in peace!
@ThePreepree People from other countries bomb planes because it is the only way to get back at aggressive Western foreign policy, and especially the US.
Now the source of the bombs may be from inside the western host country as the cultures mix.
Fuckers. As Vince Flynn put it in his book partially about this attack "Every one in anyway involved in this attack deserves to be hunted down and killed."
Real shame they released the one guy. I'm surprised the SAS didn't arrange something for him.
Wouldn't it have been beautiful if the chartered plane he was sent back to libya on was flown by SAS operators then blown up over the med? After the pilots bailed out of course.
Passenger did survive the explosion and decompression of the plane, and they actually survived the entire falling to ground, but most of them died in ground hit moment. Some people actually survived the ground impact, and one passenger had handful grass in their hand. When the plane broke apart and fell, most of the passengers clothes were ripped away in decompression and they had to fight for their breath in 46 celcius frost in sky. i found this horrible information in wikipedia
Yes, all 259 passengers on the plane, as well as 11 Lockerbie residents on the ground.
Interesting tidbit though: A flight attendent was found alive in the cockpit section of the plane, but died before help could be found. Kind of remarkable, considering it was a 31,000 foot fall!
The plane was blown up, no question. It was an act of terrorism, no question. It is a very sad tragedy for all involved, no question. BUT an officer found a piece of the supposed igniter, a small part of a circuit board. How likely is it to find a proof like that ? To recognize what it is ? A little fraction which is build in every clock radio. seems to me like it was prepared to be found. It was staged to make us believe something. Think about it !! How likely is that ??
on the bright side look how long the supposed bomber is still to remain in prison and of course that huge payout of £3,000 they gave to the victims families.
3 grand is probably 1/2 of one of gordon browns handmade suits.
we, the public are pathetically represented in our lives by these minority laying down laws for us to adhere too yet break laws themselves and make cover ups every chance they get.
when questioned they play for time till we 'forget'
I made a good comment on this video but was censored, I must have hurt the bastards feelings, I say shoot the bastard and be done with him he diden't care that there were woman and even children on board, my family came from Wales hundreds of years ago, I wish this sob would have tryed that on my clan, we would have fed him to the hogs. (whom ever runs this site is that the kind of a comment you want, may be you are in cahoot's with him!!! why not let real people have their say.? k
well the bomber gets out on compasionate grounds...it is morally sound, but as he took all those lives, i dont believe its right for him to be let out at all...after all, if it was america and he was caught, he would have spent the rest of his life in prison until death, when they killed him. so why should he not die of natural causes where he belongs?
While I think it is wrong that anyone who commits something like this be set free. i stand by Scotland's decision. Why I don't think this guy deserves the pleasure of dying in Scotland. Its best he was sent back to his own country! If anything this makes Scotland stand out among the rest of the hypocrites of this world. I am no way religious but most American's are Christian am I right? It says in the bible love thy enemy..so what the fuck are you all condemning Scotland for?
Very good point! Your logic compels me to agree with you. As an agnostic, I say he should have been kept in prison for the remainder of his life, however long or short his life may be. I just thought I should share that, even while your response may not apply to me as a non religious.
"tornybic" i dont know wat i said that made u call me cruel?i am against terror, but terror was not our subject.our subject was the release of the accused bomber and the welcoming he recieved, and as well the welcoming the bulgarian doctors recieved in their country.i might not speak or spell english as well as u, english is the 4th language i learned and i am 31 years old.
if u were an eduacated person u would have the art of conversation and u wouldnt call another person a moron just like that
Unbelievable...A healthy terrorist would be willing to sacrifice himself with no remorse, now a terrorist on the verge of death has nothing more to lose, the risks are greater in releasing him...He may want to take down as many as he can before he goes...
I say if you are willing to kill people you need to pay the ultimate price. Just like Susan Atkins she wanted to show zero mercy for a pregnant woman who just wanted to live to have her baby. Susan now has brain cancer & she wants out of jail on a compassion release I say when the people she killed can come home so can she & I feel th same way about any people involved in the murder of two hundred something human beings.
y do u condemn that libya welcmd that so called bomber "1 person can manage 2 bomb an airplane ok!"
but u dont condemn or even talk about how the bulgarian doctors were welcmd bak in their country after theyv been found guilty of injecting a 100 libyan children with the HIV virus!!!!!!
no country cared about how the libyan families would feel but now they care about how the lokrB families of victims would feel.
mr educated, please read about the bulgarian doctors that were in libya.and when they were released to teir country how they were welcomed.and maybe thats why libya did the same welcoming to the accused bomber.
maybe it wants to send a message to some leaders and countries.
A few years ago, while looking for a grave of a relative, I was startled when I stopped & looked down to find I was standing at the grave of one of flight 103's victims. He was a classmate of one of my brothers. We didn't know he was laid to rest in that cemetery.
So, the Lockerbie Flight 103 tragedy hit home.
That terrorist should not have been released. His release sends the wrong message to terrorists, and it's a slap in the face to the victims and their families.
What message? The message that he was the victim of a gross miscarriage of justice who was sent home to die?
Did you forget that the justice authorities in Scotland referred his case back to appeal court strongly insinuating that the evidence against him was faulty?
Or in the United States is it a case of "we don't care that you didn't commit the crime, as long as someone is serving the sentence for it?"
Until this news broke 90% of americans couldn't pick Scotland on a map. Apart from the US families involved the rest don't know shit about Lockerbie, But still they voice their retarded opinions. It was wrong to release the patsy but it's just another oil trade.USA, UK guilty as charged soon.
USA should look at themselves! if these fat obese cunts, with the brain of an orange(sorry orange!) stopped dropping bombs on people, there wouldn"t be revenge attacks! they are a bully & every now & again a bully gets a bloody nose. ps I am not some mad muslim, but white english!!!
No, mate Scotland did the right thing. Most of the world (outside the US) believes it did the right thing. Most of us in Scotland believe the right thing was done.
The American authorities should be thanking Mr MacAskill. He just saved their butts.
What planet are you living on? this decision has been criticized all over the world. Instead of showing compassion for the terrorist try showing compassion to the surviving family members. Whose wounds you reopened by this stupid decision. Majority of the surviving family members were against this decision.
By the way enjoy your oil deal, hope it was worth it....
It was criticised heavily in the US - which was to be expected - (well I say criticised but your President called it a "mistake" that's hardly the language of an outraged administration). Mrs Clinton also went very quiet after the release too.
Opinion elsewhere was a bit more sanguine including here in Scotland and also in the UK as well as Europe.
We're all sorry for the families, but the we should also be sorry for an innocent man who was wrongly incarcerated for something he didn't do.
I think you'll also find that the people of Scotland - and in particular the people of Lockerbie - have shown the relatives of the victims nothing but kindness and compassion over the years - more than just about anyone else. But I suppose you couldn't care less about that.
The administration criticized it, not as strongly as I would like but they did nevertheless. Enough to send the message it was a bad decision. What else did you expect him to say?
So make up your mind did you release him on compassionate grounds or because he was innocent?
He was released on compassionate grounds as per the laws of Scotland on the matter. His innocence is tangential to that, although still important.
As for the US administration - they didn't send a convincing message of anything. Look at the language used, it wasn't even a rebuke.
Let's face it, if there were any oil contracts up for grabs in Libya it wouldn't be Scottish or British companies that would muscle themselves to the front of the line. It would be American ones. We both know that.
So if you released him on compassoinate grounds (than his innocents which is questionable, especially since he was found guilty is pointless to our conversation). Now the question becomes what about the compassion shown to the victim's family? Clearly you reopened a wound, what is more important to Scotland. Showing compassion to a person found guilty of terrorism, or showing compassion to the victims family?
We are assuming he's guilty, after all he wasn't released because he's innocent.
Why does releasing a gravely ill man on compassionate grounds necessarily mean that we're not showing compassion to the families? There has been tremendous compassion for the Lockerbie relatives from within Scotland over the last 20 years. Bearing in mind, also, that a great many of those families supported his release on compassionate grounds in the first instance. And plenty of them maintain his innocence too.
Its because most of the families are against the release (yes few families supported this move, but majority did not). You have re-opened a wound that showed a lack of compassion on Scotland's part
If you believed in his innocence he should have been released because he was innocent not on compassionate grounds. By releasing him on compassionate grounds Scotland doesn't deny he's guilty
Tell me what evidence you have he's innocent? not important to this convo but just wondering
I think you are being very insensitive moron. Lives were lost on Pan Am Flight 103, mostly American, a few Scots, and other nationalities.
It shows what true character you have when you put blame on Americans instead of the real culprits here--the Scots and the Libyans. I take it you never ever had to deal with a major tragedy. So show some fucking respect to the dead, asshole.
@pluto4847 lol you daft fucking yanky sheep, anyhing wi your nationality or government involved mate is corrup, for you not to recognise yur own governments ways is blind
your government are kids in their nursery nation, before you make comments u look into what really happend, the actual details, not just what your pathetic yanky press n government tells you, do remember your government are those creating pretty much all wars
@beeroosterm am no a terrorist loving arsehole ya pathetic wee sheep, a hate american and british government, n they are the only bloody terrorists involved here, now away back to feeding of your main stream media and beliving it ya wee slave sheep baaaaaaaaahhhh
It was gheddafi's crime. He just admitted that organized this attack. Why do you blame Israel? May be you hate Jewish because they are too smart for you?
you should read the book, the boy who fell out of the sky, or the fall of pan am 103. the boy who fell out of the sky is about david dornstein, a passenger on flight 103. the author is his brother ken dornstein. the fall of pan am 103 is a documentery sort of thing. read em.
I'm very sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. If you need to talk, you are welcome to send me a message at my Yout Tube account. I deeply sympathsize with you.
None of the passengers lived.. i lived and still do in Lockerbie and my old man was a medic. there was no proof anyone survived it was just local gossip that a farmer near tundergarth where the cockpit landed apparently saw a stewardess moving in the twisted metal, this was unacurate as the bodies in the cock pit were all mutilated beyond anychance of survival..
read the fall of panam 103. i can tell you the farmers name. and, ur right. captain maquarrie was out of the cockpit. the Tundergarth farmer was named jim wilson. R.I.P
I can't believe the ignorance of people. Hanging terrorists would never decrease their attacks, just as the death penalty doesn't deter people from killing each other.
prison isnt that bad, believe me,with the european court of human rights giving paedos rapists and murderers more and more rights, prison is probably a better standard of life than most of these animals would get on the outside, and therfore worth risking doing the crime for,i think that with rising costs of keeping prisoners coupled with the lack of spaces is going to give us two realistic options in the future, releasing high risk prisoners early to reoffend or bring back capital punishment,
I support having public hangings of terrorists and to be on display hanging from telephone wires.Enough of being passive. Once evidence is proved, immediate action must be implimented. A strong message must be sent to all terrorists around the world.
@xxchinookxx : Nah, that would just make other ones angry and they would commit more terror. Punishing people who kill people by killing them is hypocritical and doesn't deter violence.
jesus! why do you yanks want to nuke everybody? don`t you realise if the lockerbie tragedy happened now, your wonderful government would "find" evidence that pointed to iraq? if you don`t have a trial, how the fuck do you find someone innocent or guilty? you`re a fucking moron amozarti.
atecom, you`re right! Allgovernments have a vested interest in "the war on terror", using it to shape policies against their own people, and conspiracy theorists, by making absurd assumptions (eg that the US government actually caused 9/11) miss the whole point in their search for an exciting answer to the current troubles.
Nuked who you cunt? The Libyans? They didnt do it. So your retarded and unhinged captain of a cruiser in the gulf shoots down a plane full of civilians. President Cunty Bush offers no apologies, the captain tells lies. The Iranians carry out a cruel revenge and then you want more revenge. Fucking single digit IQ have you?
Smoked you out of the woodpile didnt I? You racist cunt. I am no more a "sand nigger" as you so quantly refer than you are. I like to see justice prevail in my country and justice is wanting in this case. It is self eveident that you know squat about the events concerned and that you are sounding off like a blowhard. Read the transcript from the camp zeist trial and study the Scottish legal system before proclaiming from your anus.

Now the question becomes what about the compassion shown to the victim's family? Clearly you reopened a wound, what is more important to Scotland. Showing compassion to a person found guilty of terrorism, or showing compassion to the victims family?
We are assuming he's guilty, after all he wasn't released because he's innocent.
matthias4085 2 years ago
Why does releasing a gravely ill man on compassionate grounds necessarily mean that we're not showing compassion to the families? There has been tremendous compassion for the Lockerbie relatives from within Scotland over the last 20 years. Bearing in mind, also, that a great many of those families supported his release on compassionate grounds in the first instance. And plenty of them maintain his innocence too.
globaltraveller 2 years ago

Another MOSSAD crime to frame the usual suspects.
Israel is a criminal expansionist state whose aspirations go far beyond its current borders:
From the Nile to the Euphrates.
Thats the meaing of the Israeli flag:
Two blue stripes (Nile and Euphrates) and the star of David (The Kingdom of David)in between
Only by asking difficult questions will we arrive at truth and end this criminal hate mongering.
Who is gaining politically and who is paying the price?
Think. Wake Up.

you should read the book, the boy who fell out of the sky, or the fall of pan am 103. the boy who fell out of the sky is about david dornstein, a passenger on flight 103. the author is his brother ken dornstein. the fall of pan am 103 is a documentery sort of thing. read em.

I heard that a few of the passengers lived but for only a few minutes. I wonder how the story would have changed if they lived.
poodtang1 3 years ago
None of the passengers lived.. i lived and still do in Lockerbie and my old man was a medic. there was no proof anyone survived it was just local gossip that a farmer near tundergarth where the cockpit landed apparently saw a stewardess moving in the twisted metal, this was unacurate as the bodies in the cock pit were all mutilated beyond anychance of survival..
messiah1903 3 years ago
read the fall of panam 103. i can tell you the farmers name. and, ur right. captain maquarrie was out of the cockpit. the Tundergarth farmer was named jim wilson. R.I.P

I can't believe the ignorance of people. Hanging terrorists would never decrease their attacks, just as the death penalty doesn't deter people from killing each other.

Prison is hell which is why murderers should be kept alive as long as possible in them.
cgman2 4 years ago
prison isnt that bad, believe me,with the european court of human rights giving paedos rapists and murderers more and more rights, prison is probably a better standard of life than most of these animals would get on the outside, and therfore worth risking doing the crime for,i think that with rising costs of keeping prisoners coupled with the lack of spaces is going to give us two realistic options in the future, releasing high risk prisoners early to reoffend or bring back capital punishment,
wenkgibkcoj 3 years ago
I support having public hangings of terrorists and to be on display hanging from telephone wires.Enough of being passive. Once evidence is proved, immediate action must be implimented. A strong message must be sent to all terrorists around the world.

jesus! why do you yanks want to nuke everybody? don`t you realise if the lockerbie tragedy happened now, your wonderful government would "find" evidence that pointed to iraq? if you don`t have a trial, how the fuck do you find someone innocent or guilty? you`re a fucking moron amozarti.

The govermnet would find a ton of 'evidence' linking it to Iraq and the Citizens would find a ton of 'evidence' linking it to the government

atecom, you`re right! Allgovernments have a vested interest in "the war on terror", using it to shape policies against their own people, and conspiracy theorists, by making absurd assumptions (eg that the US government actually caused 9/11) miss the whole point in their search for an exciting answer to the current troubles.
