Technically, the early '90s P220 is about the same as the "Pistole 75" from the '70s except it has an "American style" magazine release on the side as opposed to the "Euro style" magazine release on the bottom of the grip.

It's like a trucker style vest. Insulated for cold(ish) weather. I usually start wearing it in fall once the weather gets down in the 50-degree area. In wintertime, I like to wear it under a coat to create a sort of armor against the cold. It has a rather large collar, giving it a somewhat '70s lo0k, but otherwise doesn't lo0k distinctively '70s. It zips up the front and has a narrow storm flap that buttons over the zipper. It has two large snap pockets and a few other pockets. And it's gray.
