  • This is an excellent example of scratch building on a budget, using mostly materials already available in the house. Well done.

  • thats freekin cool. i want to do something like that someday.

  • Hey, Thats great! I had heard that the original phasers in the show were all made out of wood, save for a couple that were used for the special effects. And its good to see people having good old fashioned fun, Halloween and Science fiction were always big at our house! Thanx for putting the video on!!!

  • The costumes are awesome.

And he's the adorablest little thing. ^^

  • This is fantastic man!!! Very good detail!!!

  • Doing it yourself is always fun, no doubt.

But this item IS currently available through many retail outlets for around $30 +/-. Art Asylum/Diamond Select has these in toy stores like Toys R Us at this very minute.

  • This is a fun project and all but you've spent how much time and materials on a commercially made item that can be easily purchased for $15-$30 dollars?

  • Scrap wood is free , I used an old balsa boat .Hard wood could have been used as well . An experienced wood worker can make this in less than 1 hour .

  • Hey, no offense intended.

  • Phasers are not easily found and are not cheap typicly.Over the decades the price has droped .The point was to do it yourself from scratch.

  • Very nice job!

  • I could use this to disguise a small derringer, with a laser sight!

  • It's always sad to see an old ship decommissioned by being sent to the scrapyard. :( That old boat looked quite nice.

    Chris

  • Last year Keegan went with Connor as Kirk . Keegan was 13 this year too old for trick or treat he said. People asked where Kirk was .

  • That looks awsome!

Your so good at that lol and just to think that is probably the first gun built from a ship:D

  • whats the song 8:52?

  • Staying alive by the BEE GEES , the lady had a music box .Its a generic version cover dont know who by .

  • thank you :D and i did like the laser phaser
