This girl is talendted! You totally should put her in performing if you think so, because she can totally play! I give her a 10 and "do re mi" was beautiful!
Can you tell me the program she uses? I am about a year into my private music teaching program, and I am trying to expand my program and make it clearer. I really like what she was using, the theory part was great. If you have time to reply, or send me a message that would be amazing. Thanks... She is very good, by the way.
@Sorianbell Thanks! Look at the more info or our website as I list the teacher and I believe he makes up his own teaching program as he has been doing it for over 35 years. Good luck!
@Cheesehead337 We didn't move to Spain, we are on an open ended, non-stop world tour as a family & we wintered in Spain for 4 years because it is warm and for a chance to very deeply immerse into our child's second language/literature/culture. We will start wintering in Asia this year so she can immerse deeply in her 3rd language..Mandarin Chinese.
Im studing the chordprogress she is doing in the beginning now In musical theory class. Don't know the name of it in english :P It's very interesting.
I love to see children learning music, since I believe that to play music, sing and make songs is one of the major things humans are made by God to do. Everyone has emotions, and emotions are looking for to be expressed through music. I hope she will also learn how to play guitar, since a string instrument gives emotions the opportunity to vibrate fully, while playing piano permits only a part of human emotional capacity to express itself.
wow shes really good at couting at such a small age...i play music the piano and the trombone and i had a hard time learning that haha she already better then me! good jod
Aw thanks hellokitty0571989! It is called counting & is actually a very hard skill to learn while reading a new song & playing it. Her teacher says she does it better than his adult students! I like how it makes her concentrate. ;)
Haha, no problem soultraverlers3, she did a wonderful job! i arent so good myself :P. blahh. Well i tried that once....uhmm, didnt really work out, haha. Thats very cool that she does piano. Its a very good talent, keep it up! I have also seen alot of her other vids, also very awesomee!
@soultravelers3 does she also write her own music now you taught her this way and form? I trained my self from see and hear i heard it being played and played i am natural in this talent i am musically in clined in guirtar as well as piano and started with the drums there is so much more to learn though to be a very good musician out there. Not just learning the music but making it happen feeling the music in your body and being able to sooth peoples hearts with your music.
Thanks MissComentGirl, she is actually just doing exercises with one hand exactly as her teacher wants in those songs. This is a recording of her class that she does with her teacher on another continent. He teaches Jazz piano that it focused on music theory primarily, so that she can play any song immediately & compose.
wow, that's good for such a young age! I'm 12 years old, and I love the piano! I can play under the piano hands crossed, trust me, it's not as hard as it sounds, Ask her if she can do that, because I bet she can. Trust me, it sounds hard, it's not. Also, when I was younger I taught myself how to play Sonatine 15. (A cool classical song, the composer slips my mind right now, though.) Well, my comment is running out of room, so thats all I wanted to say :) Thanks,
Found you through a comment on NYT article talking about staying in touch overseas where you (I think it was you) mentioned using Skype for remote piano lessons. I never would have thought of this!
Good work. Now try not to collapse the fingers in the last joint before the end of each finger. You can see this mainly with the 3rd finger when playing the chords near the start of the video. Keep up the good work!
It's interesting and inspirational to see you play with a long-distance teacher, Mozart! Always be proud of the things you do well. You have plenty of years to learn but you are off to a great start. I hope that sometimes you have the opportunity to play "live" for teachers who can watch you play, besides playing for your teacher far away. Thanks to your mom and dad for sharing this video with us, your fans around the world!
Mozart thanks you for your kind words and encouragement! Music education is much more complicated on the move, but hopefully we will be able to support her as we continue to travel and as she grows.
theory is a great thing when it's coupled with application... I've learned that from a best friend whom I taught the piano but has surpassed me so much now. He plays widow and I play with sheets. It's great though, we compliment each other through our differences.
But I did learn from him that theory is really inadequate without application.
Yes, her theory level is at college level according to her teacher. We prefer the focus on theory, rather a lot of rote work. This is not a well rehearsed performance piece, but just classwork of a 7 year old.
I also think theory is very important. How do you want to play an instrument if you don't know how? You can develop your theory while playing though. But what am I talking; it's not that special for me anymore as I have a lot of experience.
Just keep it up and become a famous musician.
btw, I would love to hear some of your compositions.
This is awesome. I'm so glad that she's being given the opportunity to learn the way that's best for her. And her theory is better than mine! And I've been playing and taking lessons for 10 years!
Though I'm guessing the teacher comments on her rushing a lot!
Wow, talented when I was about 5 I started piano, my teacher was blind as well. I ended up quiting mostly because of the piano teacher. I wish I would have kept up with it, Good Luck and keep up with it!!

Yes, margaretch! She really enjoys them and is making great progress.
When ever she sees a piano on our travels...like recently in Denver or in Selcuk,Turkey or Seville,Spain...she runs to it and starts playing. ;)
Fun to see! Recently she had been writing some cool songs.

XmusicmeisterX 3 years ago
@tagalog It is just part of the method she is learning by. It is not playing so much as learning a chord drill when she just uses one hand.
She plays chords left hand and melody with right.
When she is actually playing a song and reading music, she uses both hands.
soultravelers3 3 years ago
how come sometimes she only plays with one hand?
