Besides my 4 kids that cost me toons there is still the wife.

Shopping clothes, doing nails, hair, magazines and all the other stuff cost a lot.

Not counting the time she takes from me while she is nagging and complaining :)

Then i still havent charged my mother in law when she just makes a visit.

I'm willing to take the bill for breeding snakes above my bill anyday

Wow. I feel really lucky now. You see my grandfather and family own a small pet chain and i can buy my snake food for wholesale (Small rats are about 30 cents each). plus my aquariums I can get free because my grandfather creates pet store fixtures and aquariums and has a warehouse of unclaimed orders and such. I'm still in highschool so utilities are out. Granted I do pay for everything else. Really great hobby. Gonna be doing this whenever I get out of college and owning my own petstores!

I have many expensive hobbies, but the most expensive is probably scuba diving.

I bought my scuba gear in the best dive store in Sweden. my bottle pack costed about 12,000 sec and that's about $ 1,700, and my dry suit cost 8000 SEK ($ 1,400), but the most expensive was my underwater camera and it cost $ 6000 and it is not cheap, but the cheapest thing on my gear is my dive mask for $ 150.

so diving it's not cheap, but it's worth every single penny and its so awesome!

oh and then about the snakebytes deathmatch. i know that ball pythons are going to win. :(. but i think that boas should win because they are just amazing snakes, they can be as docile and sometimes even more docile than ball pythons, i think that is very cool that they give live birth, and i also love that they can get , much bigger than ball pythons and are more active. they may be more expensive in the long run but i think they are every bit worth it.

Hey Brian i have a question.. im new to the ball pythons started collecting tis year to breed eventually but i see that the feeding is expensive but im also breeding rodents and doing good so far. my question is: Since im breeding my own snake food, should i feed it them anything in particular more protein fat? and also is it better to kill the food before feeding? and what would be the best pair for a beginner to start out with for their first breed? thanks BBHB!

@kenreptile Well i can tell you that it is aloot better if you kill the rats before you feeding. It is more humanely to the rat so it don't have to suffer. And the most important reason for killing it first is that it is safer for the snake. If you feed live pray it can bite and scratch the snake and hurt it, and if a snake get hurt like this they don't heal realy good and got a change on being infected. So feed dead for the safety of your reptile and the pitty for the ratt.

My only other expensive hobby is taxidermy. I have to constantly buy things like dish soap, rubber gloves, scalpels, tweezers, sponges, toothbrushes, Borax, Sculpey clay, hydrogen peroxide, plastic trash bags, and scavenger permit papers to keep doing what I do. Not to mention the paint, alcohol ink, enamel and/or varnish for any artistic pieces I may do with the skulls. It's dirty work, but I like it.
