It looks like two people, from those creepy theatrical plays where nothing really happens and they walk around in wierd clothes, are bent over towards each-other and are trying to coordinate.

a mule can go 48 hours w/o food - something tells me that robot thingy isn't going to last 48 hours - sounds like it runs on a lawnmower engine....still cool though
Somehow I don't think these robots are bulletproof, especially if we're talking about an assault rifle or something. I have to agree with acmelka, until technology improves, a mule is better and cheaper.
The indoor jump shot was the most amazing one- Imagine one of those in the future, one that is faster, can jump higher, and loaded with explosives- jumping over a fence into an enemy camp.

If this ROBOT is for the US Army you'd think they would wont to do somthing about the nois. If I heird that on the battlefeld id wont to no what it was and SHOOT IT. It would'nt take much time to finde it with all the nois it makes.
Yes but sometimes they don't need to be silent, on the battlefield it can be used for many things, like transporting wounded soldiers back behind the front line or transporting ammunition, I don't know I'm not a soldier.

The people who are making this prototype aren't worried about the sound, the sound is a technical hurdle to be sure, but the technical hurdles they are addressing are much more important. The are showing that it is possible to make an all terrain walker that can actually jump over obstacles and deal with being hit from the side. Impressive. The sound can be dealt with later.

The people who are making this prototype aren't worried about the sound, the sound is a technical hurdle to be sure, but the technical hurdles they are addressing are much more important.
