Anyone interested in coastal restoration efforts should get involved with America's WETLAND: Campaign to Save Coastal Louisiana. The foundation works to raise public awareness of the impact Louisianas wetland loss has on the state, nation and world and to gain support for efforts to conserve and save coastal Louisiana. Check out the video "Washing Away" and support AWF by subscribing to the channel "marmillionco."
Using wind and sun energy is just another human evolution, we went from nomads who hit rocks together for fire to now, using lighters and matches...really, we need a change and going green even if its not fully, will help not only animals but US, so don't go saying screw animals focus on humans, it is focusing on us.
I think this movie has a message that will ultimately help the environment. I agree we need to cut down on consumerism, but we also need a strong economy to survive, so I think it's important to point out the cleaner energy jobs won't take away jobs that involve oil, coal, etc., but will simply replace them. Even if we cut back on usage (as we should), we will still need to produce energy. I think this movie is a positive way to get business people interested in using cleaner energy.
How does using the sun and wind power destroy the planet?...I don't see how it will do that...did you like mistype something? O.O You make no sense what so ever. Did you learn your science?
ok so you didn't mistype...you misunderstood, most industries want to stop how they make stuff which is destroying the planet, if they go green, even if they cant stop, atleast lease pollution will go out, which is a start cause we all know change can take a while.
corporations want one thing: to make money. contrary to what they say, they are not concerned with the health of communities or the planet; they only want to turn resources (i.e. life) and into money (i.e. death), which is then hoarded by the people at the top of the pyramid
you are saying is they *may* slow down the harm. so Ill revise my previous statement to now we can harness the power of the sun and the wind to kill the planet a little bit more slowly
the reason why I say this is because in my town we have an industry opening that failed a few years back due to the amount of pollution and smells it sent out, now theyre opening green, so there will be little to no pollution and smell being emitted.
Its sad to me that there are still people out there that won't try and change, thick headed people, those out there who try to change deserve credit. End of story.
i am saying that industry needs to stop producing things people don't need, things that destroy the planet
that is change
you are saying industry needs to keep in producing plastic dog toys and aluminum cans and underarm deodarant, only they should try to make it look like they are somehow doing the environment a favor when they do it
also, sadly enough, everything made in the industries is attached to the economy, and if it wasn't then yes it would be easier to get rid of it, but because it is tide in, it would hurt our country.
it depends on how you define 'hurt' and how you define 'country'
by my definition, industry hurts our country (which is our land and our communities), and it also hurts the countries that it exports the harm to
i am more concerned with the health of the land and the creatures who depend on the land for their life than i am for the military/industrial/economic power of a nation
Ok I use to be for the military till i saw how deplorable they are to animals. I'm sure you heard about that in 2006 I believe it was. I'm also for the land and the animals, we should hunt them like people do for fun. They have every right to be here as much as we do, and I think you would agree with me on that. But I do agree that those industries who dont use some form of green are just wrong. But to be honest..nothing we can do, not like everyone will rally against them =/
-_- do you know the difference from hunting for fun and hunting for food? hunting for food is for survival, tons of tribes in areas all over tthe world still do that, but hunting for fun is worse, its people hunting for dead animal trophy's, that I do not approve of.
How does the bill stop big corporations from buying smaller ones that can't afford this, thus making them monopolies and so rich they can ignore the cap and do the complete opposite?
I wanted to be inspired to watch so I clicked on the trailer. I guess that I'm not the target of this show, because I was not motivated to tune in tomorrow. We both are sorry, right? ****icle***
What?! This is MORE of the same crap! Create wealth for who?! With our technology, ALL on Earth could have a good life if we stop consuming like there is no tomorrow. IF things were built WELL and to last the future would be a different world. This trailer does not inspire me at all.
My POV: that's the last thing to point out as a reason to calm down.
The capitalist "growth imperative" is a big part of what's gotte us into this ecological mess. Why people like Jeffery Sachs think this same system will make everything better...it's crazy talk.
I'm more convinced by Joel Kovel, Jim Kuntsler and/or John Zerzan here on YT & elsewhere. The free market ain't the answer.

we don't need a strong economy to survive
we need strong community, which we have been robbed of
survival has to do with food, shelter, clean air, clean water, and strong community
not industry

i didn't mistype
what is the energy that is generated by these so-called "green" technologies used for?
industry
what does industry do?
destroy the planet

ok so you didn't mistype...you misunderstood, most industries want to stop how they make stuff which is destroying the planet, if they go green, even if they cant stop, atleast lease pollution will go out, which is a start cause we all know change can take a while.

the company is your town is going green (sic) because they think it will make them money, not because they want to do the right thing
there may not be a smell, but there will be pollution
you cannot have production with pollution
it's sad to me that you believe their propaganda

the video says
'it will be the biggest industry, the biggest source of wealth'
exactly how is that 'change'? it sounds like the same force that is devouring the planet, with a nice coat of green paint

alchemistofsins 2 years ago
well you have your wish
all of the industries are on the green bandwagon, as it means more revenue
witness clorox, ibm, and dow
my point is that 'green industry' is still industry, and industry is destroying the planet
and there *is* plenty we can do
and it *is* like everyone will rally against them when they awaken from their cultural brainwashing
if people could see the real harm that is being done, they would stop it all in a heartbeat
hunting for "fun"?
how about hunting for food?
