  • BLAST PROSSESING !!!!

  • MEGA-FUCKING-DRIVE.

  • Aaoow! *crotch grab*

  • You know, it's hard to believe that MJ truly disliked how the music he help compose in S3 turned out, but I am sure he had some or little pride for them considering Stranger In Moscow IS the S3 Credits theme! =)

  • @HyperShan3 Well I don't think smooth criminal would work for Ice Cap zone. More like Launch Base zone.

  • awesome song here wow cool indeed

  • and yet 240p is the "high quality" of the video :D

  • This shit is kickass.

  • Make it 240p, it sounds more legit, trust me

  • I used to rent this game just for the music.

  • @shadowman2192 Me too xD

  • @tscpereira Isn't it beautiful

  • The"Annie are you ok" part is the best part of this version and the real version.

  • He was called "the king of pop" but to me he is just "THE KING".

    God bless you MJ.

  • That one dislike is from a homophobic social conservative MJ hater who believes all of those false rumors about him.

Nintendo had Mario, Sega had MJ and that was epic.

  • N.E.I.E.O.K.

    N.E.I.E.O.K.

    I.E.O.K.N.E.

  • Hooo!

  • YOU BENN HIT BY, A SMOOTH CRIMANAL!!!

  • This is amazing!

  • Love it! Equally good to the real song (no offense to Michael). This needs to be extended to 10 minutes. :)

  • best old times ;)

  • this game was funny and very annoying at the same time

  • @evilgamers1 why annoying?

  • @FanaticoSodaStereo go back if you miss 1 single kid + bombs and stage patterns later on

  • 16 bit + michael jackon = the best song

  • This is AWESOME. Nuff said.

  • I would play this game just to hear this.

  • Drinkin Pepsi .. playin MD ....... how more rad can you get?

  • I love this Game, System, Music.

  • this is one of my favorite song on the Michael Jackson Moonwalker, RIP Michael Jackson.

  • 16-bit, not M.I.D.I

  • You've been hit by

    You've been struck by

    A Sega Genesis

  • are you bad are you bad whos bad

  • my favourite song from MJ in a Sega Genesis. "you been hit by, you been hit by, a Smooth Criminal!"

  • MJ being a smooth criminal in 16bit, couldn't be better!

  • i wonder how would they do this awesome soundtrack if they have release this game in others consoles. By the way, is the arcade version too different?

  • This music>>>> Most music in games. Seriously, this stuff tops a ton of the over-the-top war music you get in games nowdays. Why can't game music still be like this? Only some franchises like Sonic still have catchy soundtracks in there games.

  • @GOLDsonic105 I like Jet Grind Radio, Killer Instinct, and Adventures Of Batman & Robin....they have some of the best soundtracks of all time.

  • @bigthingspoppinoff: I LOVE Jet Grind Radio! XD

  • @GOLDsonic105 Me too. I was also reminded of Bust A Groove 1 & 2.

  • @bigthingspoppinoff dont forget about tekken 3

  • I love this game soundtrack :D

  • THis game is the second best music related game the arcade game beats it

  • Yamaha synths were used quite a bit in MJ's songs, so it's no surprise that they fit so well on the Genesis, which also uses a Yamaha chip.

  • If this game was in xbox live arcade i would shit myself, buy points, buy it, shit myself again, and play it... then clean up my shit

  • @datwatseeshed96 It was supposed to hit the VC. What happened to that?

  • @Ultim874 uhm he died...? :P

  • youv been hit by....youv been hit by...a smooth criminal!

  • ★★★★★

  • This games music >>>> the 16-bit generation

  • slept on game of the early 90's. This was an awesome game to beat. The huge Jackson Robot was a beast.

  • Ah, my favorite Jackson song on Genesis.

  • smooth criminal ^^

  • sounds even better this way ^_^

  • yeah

  • love this song

  • love this song

  • R.I.P Michael Jackson

    (1958-2009)

  • Michael Jackson in M.IDI. = EPIC!!!

  • its not midi

  • It isn't? My bad.

  • Why not?

Of course the sound is M.I.D.I.!

  • I dont know the exact term for a Genesis song but I just class it as a chiptune.

MIDI is what people use on programs like cubase with those shitty keyboard sounds. Download some MIDI game music from VGMusic and youll hear what I mean

with the right sounds they can sound ok though

  • COOL!

  • I think the term would be 16 bit.

  • @Renegade466isback Same goes for the Genesis' chiptune, oddly enough. A lot of games on the Genesis sound like their soundtracks are fart noises and unusually creepy clusterfucks of noises, but some games uses the chiptune to make unforgettable, legendary songs! Hell, look what they did to MJ songs. :D

  • @Renegade466isback

Isn't it FM synthesis? Neverthless, it sounds AWESOME!

  • Comment removed

  • @Renegade466isback While it may not apply here, some Genesis games use MIDI. Davis Cup World Tour is one example. You can extract the MIDI samples and play them in a normal MIDI player. You can also replace the MIDI inside the ROM. It won't sound like it does on PC, mind you. Some programs that play MIDI may complain about the file if it is padded.

  • @Renegade466isback "GYM" is the format for Sega Genesis/Megadrive sound files. wikipedia.orgDELETE/DELETEwiki/GYM

  • @Renegade466isback no chiptune is 8-16 bit techno

  • @Renegade466isback chiptune is the style of electronic music found in retro video games, i.e. video game music or video game soundtrack. Chiptune is pretty much "new-school" video game music not made by video game companies but by musicians that happen to be retro game (soundtrack) enthusiasts.

  • @eteodoroz: No, MIDI represents another sound quality. The Sega Genesis featured the Yamaha YM2612 soundchip which offered 6 channels of frequent modulation synthesis (e.g.: FM bass). An add-on was developed by Texas Instruments that embedded 4 additional sound channels in PSG format (Programme Sound Generator, Model: SN76489). I always preferred Sony's soundchip for the SNES (SPC-700). ;)

  • @eteodoroz

They are called FM synthesis sounds. It made the Genesis capable of making awesome game music!

  • @Renegade466isback Technically, it is MIDI, because the consoles like Genesis only had certain instruments.

    Also, AOO!

Also, Konami's board was an SCC board, I believe. GXSCC emulates that board, but you ca switch to NES emulation mode in Configuration by choosing Famicom-like set.

  • @GoldenPickaxe

Completely wrong. The Genesis has a dedicated Z80 CPU which controls a YM2612 FM and SN76489 PSG chip. By changing the parameters passed to those sound chips, you can create lots of different sounds. Any programmer can write his own "sound driver" for the Z80 and create his own sound format.

Google FM and additive synthesis to understand how the Genesis actually works. MIDI ist just a very primitive standard which just defines a fixed set of pre-defined instruments.

  • @porcorosso81 Then somebody's lieing.

And apparently MJ didn't like the limitations it had because he quit working on Sonic 3's music with Sega saying he didn't like it or something. Wikipedia tells all, trust me,

  • @GoldenPickaxe

    ???

What has Michael Jackson not liking the sound hardware to do with the fact that the music format is NOT "MIDI" ? Technical documentation about the MD/Genesis is readily available on the net. Learn how the hardware works and then come back here, before accusing anyone of lying. The only thing the Genesis has is an FM and PSG sound generator. This has nothing to do with "MIDI".

  • @GoldenPickaxe

Actually, Brad Buxer told all... according to an interview in French magazine "Black & White: Le Magazine Official de Michael Jackson".

  • @greenac88

    It's FM and PSG sound.

  • @VikutaaChyaaruzu

    Oh. Thanks for the correction.

  • @greenac88

    No problem. :3

  • @greenac88

actually its 16 bit angels that have urinated on the sega genesis and this game was created......

  • @greenac88 It's epic I know but is not midi is an smps. By the way, you're right! :)

  • annie are you okie annie are you okie

  • Best music in this game :D

  • Like it better than the original XD
