ive got the same set up on my cobra. same motor, and its fine. nitrous is an oxidizer. it will eat your shit up. no two ways about it. the only way to help combat it is to know the limitations of your motor and make sure your fuel supply is sufficient. this guy was apparently trying to make his car a top fuel dragster with just spray. thats when retardation plays a factor. be smart with it man. its not rocket science.
350 hp with nitrous isn't really that much. my friend has an 01 SS camaro that has 315 hp stock. if he adds a supercharger it can push 400 plus easily

My RX7 does'nt bother with pistons, they are rather ineffient, as stock mine is 200bhp from a 13B engine, so thats a 1.3litre engine, making it 153bhp per litre...and modded it can take up to about 650bhp spinning to 12k rpm. Average piston engine = 4000 moving parts, rotary = 3 moving parts...simpler is better :)
i have an rx7 too, they cant run and produce power at 12k rpm, the average limit on race cars is 10500rpm. as for 650hp, the apex seals will breach under that boost if you drive often. Rotary engines have 3 primary moving parts, dont forget the stationary gears that can shear, the apex that move with the rotors, or the bearings for the eccentric shaft.
Because of the rotaries lower compression ratio you'll never achieve the same level of fuel efficiency that a similarly specd piston engine can. The rotaries are great for high RPM coz you dont have the stress induced on the connecting rod and crank due to inertial force of the piston. Its a trade off of pro's and con's. Your analogy of moving parts is wrong when you consider turbo's, gearing, fan belt, water pump etc. A ratio for moving parts for V6 vs 2 rotor Renesis be more like 10:1.
It isn't a 4-cylinder, and there are non-turbo (granted, racing) engines that make more than 300 hp... Mazda just came out with a racing motor based on a production motor that makes 500 HP NA. That's "naturally aspirated" which means no turbos or superchargers.

I've seen 1.6 liter hondas with 300 horsepower, and that's the tip of the iceberg. Not saying that I like nasty honda civics. I think if you buy a v8 Mustang, it should be able to make as much horsepower stock as foreign cars with engines the same size.

give it 2000 k, change the oil twice in that time,keep the boost and Nos low and work it up...
