I was in second grade when I first heard this song. Dad was not amused....If he had known Alice was also a Republican, I would have probably had to go to military school.
Very, very nice job with this! Nothing "strange" about how compelling is "Blue Turk"; it's sex and blues--the most compelling combination of forces. Again, wonderful job with the video.
I guess this was the kind of stuff the band warmed up to sometimes to get their groove on. I'd almost forgotten how good this was. I have the vinyl that I haven't listened to in 12-15 years. Dunaway was as good live as any bass player I've seen...any! Saw 'em in '73. Amazing what some soulful horns can do for a mood. AC and Michael wrote this?
I was in England in 72 when this song came out. (U.S. Navy). The Brits absolutley loved Cooper then and I think that they love him even now. No urine tests back then........
Good tune and well done on the video. I had never heard the song before, however it was mentioned in an article I was reading and I wanted to hear it. Keep up the good work rocker!
@sonnyroxx I couldn't agree more. I try and tell all my friends about this piece of music, but none of them hear it like I do. It's a good intro to a jazz feel without being too complicated.
New Orleans jazz + The Doors + lots of dirty xxx fun = Blue Turk. Not ordinary and not even slightly lame, but definitely very very cold, I mean cool.
The coolest slutjazz tune on this planet. Ever.

Pure R&B gem. He was showing his musical talents before the world had the ears or maturity to accept it from a guy with a snake.
Thanks for accepting it now.
Great job Alicel, keep em coming. I'll keep listening.

Odd combo's make the coolest tunes :) Bluesy and jazzy: but the lyrics are PURE ALICE! You did a great job putting this together!

@billybobpill Wow! I didn't know Buxton had that in him. Too bad we lost him.

@billybobpill Michael Bruce wrote this. Alice changed some of the words. That kinda pissed Mike off.
