hola pues no entendi nada jeje no hablo ingles pero me parecio interezante el video soy miembro de la iglesia de jesucristo de los santos de los ultimos dias en el salvador central america
My brother got called to the fresno california mission which was the mission my Mother, and Grand parents lived in. He got to watch conference with my mom as well as come to my moms wedding. Pretty much all his family got to see him a 1 year and 5 months into his mission!
He bore his testimony at my moms wedding and everyone was balling!
Actually, parents and their kids are supposed to communicate every week by letter or email--phone calls on Christmas and Mother's Day.
Missionary life has a purpose, rules, expectations--not unlike the military or Peace Corps. If anything, the physical separation and more limited communication tends toward increasing feelings of family love and appreciation. It's not for everyone, but many find it a valuable growing experience.
great reporting, but this is soo dumb. There should be a rule that you have to go on the opposite side of the country if you serve in the same country to prevent pitiful situations like this one.
yay for tyler! I wish that all the people that he knew on his mission could visit him so he could show them his happy family life and that having the gospel in your life does indeed allow you to have blessings in your life.
Dude that suxs about being called back to where your from. I just moved from California and im going on my mission in a couple months and i dont know where im going yet hopefully i u didnt ginks it! lol
A good friend grew up in California, moved to Virginia, and got called to LA Spanish speaking. He loved it. I'm sure you'll be great wherever you serve (just remember to serve!)
I had a friend that was born in the Phillipaines (sp?), his family is from there and then he got called to serve there. :)

I thought Mormons were all about families. Why do they want to cut parents off from their kids?

That's kind of crazy, I would probably flip a lid if my family had moved closed to me during my mission.
