I have the predator 500 mine has a 12 tooth front sprocket a high comp piston and exhaust but you're ktm should be about the same put it in second gear at a roll and rev it up pop the clutch and set back on the seat be carefull the first couple times lol you learn you're limits easily though thats what a wheelie bar is for

They are all nice bikes. The KTM is faster and handles and rides better out of the box, but it costs more. You could buy a TRX of YFZ and put the same amount into the motor and suspension to have an equally performing bike for about the same cost of a KTM. Reliability is a biast opinion as I am a die hard Honda fan. Although factory warranty for the Honda is a year and only 30 days for the KTM. What does that say?

That says KTM is a race quad and so they can not guarantee them more than 30 days because you're beating the crap out of them at a track. And the Honda is the opposite: they give you 1 year but if they ever find out you're racing it, you loose the warranty immediately LOL what does that say?

get a polaris outlaw 525S. it's the same engine as the KTM, but it dosen't have all the race ready parts that jack up the price. Not to mention, since they canged the body style for 09, you can get a steal on an 08. If your a serious trail rider, and don't plan on doing a lot of bicycles on your quad, get the outlaw 525irs. they are said to handle rough trails like it's nothing, and the irs gives more traction on holeshots if you want to drag race.

Is that a question??? If you are asking if the KTM requires the use of a clutch, then yes. It is a manual 5 speed with reverse. I believe all KTM quads use a Magura Hydraulic clutch.

The 525 "XC" is designed to accommodate a Cross Country style rider, but will very well hold it's own on a MX track, too. Adjust the stock axle and get some wider a-arms and you'll have the stance of an excellent track bike.
