I agree, while I understand what Bollywood is trying to do, I am a little saddened, I prefer my traditional Bollywood Hindi love stories....While I am american, I prefer the nice love stories, without the overt sexual references, Bollywood holds that romance for me, and now they are showing skin, kissing, people in bed with eachother, the women half naked, it's becoming too much....Stick with the original formula...

You know.. Krissh wasn't great but watching Hrithik in a superhero role because of his body, acting and looks. But Drona.. YUCK! Bad story (initial part was lifted from Harry Potter), bad acting, bad music etc etc. And watching a hairy dude who doesn't know how to act was just unbearable. We left the theater before the interval because the plot was so predictable and slow.

it's so sad that people in india r so jaded the can't appriciate anything new and different if it looks like the average joe. but people in america who don't normally watch indian movies found this movie to be fabalously acted and they enjoyed the story. my friends loved this movie so much that they now want to c more movies with the 3 actors. whom by the way they taught did a splended job. so try to not be so stuck on sculpted bodies. i guess being that we're used to that, it's not so cool here

This film was unbelievably crap and the people who made this film need to be shot in the head. This was a cheap shit version of all the famous hollywood movies like Lord of the rings , Harry Potter cut and made in to a 3 hour piece of shit. sad really. how many friends do u have that's never seen n indian movie before? u should hear their perspective then make such comments. my non-indian friends loved this movie. they taught the acting of all 3 actors were awesome. they liked the story and the scren play. they did have some reservations about some of the scenes. but that's natural. even i had reservations. but that doesn't mean the movie as a whole wasn't good. i guess the masses have gotten used to sculpted bodies! really sad!!

What I would like to know is how on earth anyone would think this is a copy of a Hollywood film? Yes I agree, the faces in the sand was definitely taken or inspired from the Mummy, but other than that I see no plagiarism of other products. Drona is a film about mythological legacies and how the legacy somehow contains Drona - AB's character. Priyanka's duty as the leader of the clan is to protect Drona and has been doing so quite secretly.

Haha if you thinks it low budget think again buddy. The swordfighting in the climax was choreographed by the action director of Troy and the Dark Knight. Prague Castle, a huge castle, was rented out for the filming of the villain and the SFX were done by those who also did the SFX for Troy and Batman. So if you think its low-budget, do some research first.
