  • OMG I love all of your videos.Your so funny, I use to not like guacamole dip BUT I made yours and now I love it..Plz keep making cooking videos there so nice to watch.

  • @johnz281994 I can't use sour cream or I'd eat the whole container. I am a HUGE fan of sour cream on everything.......except cereal. :)

  • Hey Ray... my wife and I don't like guacamole but ended up with 2 avocados today. I remembered you doing this recipe and hunted it out thinking 'it can't be any worse than other guacamole we've tried'. Well, I had to improvise a bit but the end result was excellent and I think it is the addition of mayo because your guacamole didn't taste like any others I've tried. It was richer, nuttier and had a lovely spiciness. Great job, this is in our recipe file and it is hard to get in there.

  • One is suppose to lightly season with salt ANY fried foods, including Tortilla Chips, whether Corn or Flour! Chef Emeril Lagasse of '' Emeril Live ! " on the Food Network channel and the Cooking Channel always says that one MUST lightly Salt anything that has been fried, Always!!!

  • @studentinlearning Lemon juice or powdered ascorbic acid works fine if you plan on storing it for any length of time. If you plan on using it right away you don't need those.

  • ahh i actually had an ovacado tree grow..just never fruited..but than again had for just 2 yrs...

  • @BOBCOMproductions I grew one ages ago indoors while living in Seattle. My puppy knocked it down, dragged it through the house, ate the leaves and then took a nap on the stalk. I really got my money's worth out of THAT little tree. lol

    ps: I'll be growing another avacado tree probably next year when I have more room indoors.

  • @Praxxus55712 Oh my gosh. Was your dog sick after that? The pit, leaves, stem, bark are poisonous to cats, dogs, and many other animals because it contains a fatty acid called persin.

  • if i wanted to plant an avacodo tree in my backyard and i left it there for the winter.

    Would the entire tree dye? i live in southern ontario Canada

  • @gameplay1999 My bet is it would die a miserable death. Avacado trees do not handle cold well at all.

  • I've added tomatoes........and I LOVE tomatoes (can you tell by all of my tomato vids? lol) but I dunno why I'm just not fond of tomatoes in guacamole. I mean I'll definitely eat it if there's tomatoes in it but I won't eat more than a gallon of it. *big grin*

  • I had fresh garlic, but for some reason I like the taste of granulated garlic in guacamole. My taste buds must be a bit fried. lol

  • You have hella avacados. There is a bumper crop on those. You got the right idea.

    I clean the avacado the same way.

    I can't use the onions in mine. I'm allergic. I don't use seasoned salt either it has MSG (behavior modifyer).

    The mayo is a fine trick. Good call. Some people put eggs in guac. Mayo sounds better.

    Deep fry tortillas. That's resourcfull. I mix them from batter. It takes forever.

    Nice ideas and presentation.

  • shweetpotato, You are 100% right! Almost everything on the planet tastes delicious with cinnamon and sugar! Even cinnamon and sugar taste better when sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar. *big cinna-sugar smile*

  • Hmm, should have left that pit in your tummy. Then you would have become a walking talking avocado tree. Reminds me of the guy who had a pine tree growing in his lung. But, we rarely eat avocados in my home. They're so expensive in the grocery stores and they usually look ugly. :(

  • zasvedogovore, The next video is about growing things and starting inside. I'll be doing more vids on that soon too. In my area the planting time isn't till mid to late May. You never know though. I might just snap and end up out in the garden in 2 feet of snow with the rototiller and garden hose. LOL

  • Wizechris1, it has a smooth, creamy mild taste........sorta buttery in a way but not tasting like butter. I guess this sound confusing but it's a great taste. Not strong or overpowering. Very mild.

  • 50cents!!! I can rarely find good avocados here saddly. I never put onions in my guacamole must be good!

  • how much oil did you use and could you use olive oil? How many tortelas did you use? could you put shredded orange chesse on top of sour cream and add some chives? I am diffently going to try this recipe.

  • crewlla, I used about 2 cups or so. I fried 3 tortillas but coulda fried lots more. Shredded cheese and chives go well on ANYTHING as far as I'm concerned. LOL

  • Oh great! Now Im gonna have to get dressed, go out in the snow, shuffle along to the store with the icy wind blowing in my face, and buy some damned avocados... I do think that all TV, and by extension Youtube cooks are a bunch of sadists... P.S. I refrain from making any comments about you being into the easiest way to do just about anything....LOL ... I do have a dirty mind sometimes but hey! At least its interesting inside my head...
