I don't know what to say about your sister. I know nothing about depression. I've been depressed many times, but don't know anything to tell you that could help her.
I'm very concerned that your homeless. How could your landlord do that? Doesn't he/she have to give a 30 day notice? I will pray for you to find a home. I really wish there was something I could do.
I find that the best way to combat depression is to find an activity that gives back to the community, and participate regularly in it.
I did, and I realized that there were bigger problems in the world than "I don't feel quite 100% about myself." I recall thinking that I needed to be stronger for other people's sake, if not my own. I had to be stronger than the depression, because the people I was helping needed it - the world needed it.
I've somehow missed out on part of the story here with your sister. Anyway, that's the weird thing about depressed (truly depressed) people. They are experts at hiding emotions until they get to a point where they cannot take the emotional pain anymore. Hang in there, lady!
