  • how offten do u have to feed them? coz my mum found one 3 days ago and its still alive but im worried, coz yday it was really chirpy n today its curled up in a ball and when i felt it today it was really cold so ive had to put him back in the cuboard (thats where out water tank is) where its nice and warm coz mum thought it would be to hot to keep it in there (and took it out, i dont know how long for) but i feel thats where it needs to be, is that right??

  • looks like a duck o.o.....................

  • awww cute! i kinda looks like a duckling!

  • .. Never seen one of those in my life. Not even fully feathered.:O

  • Quit touching. Can't you just look at the awe of nature without putting your dirty mits on it!

  • crooked beek. lol

  • I dont think u should lift hi or her up like that u might crush her or him....

  • @Rimfire748 actually you might think so but they are pretty darn durable, that and they love physical contact from their parent figure so this is ok, ive raised plenty of pigeons so i kinda know this.

  • @MsFeatherBall i suppose since i used to own 1 my self since i did saved it from some puck kids trying to kill it while it was still young an yellow featherd...

  • thats 2 cute

  • is it true that if you touch baby pigeons and they start smelling like you their parents will stop feeding them?

I'm asking because a pigeon laid eggs on my balcony recently ! :P

  • @busted276

did the eggs hatch? how long did it take?

  • @The096757 ufortunately only one of the two eggs hatched... it took about 3 weeks..

  • @busted276

so it took 3 week to hatch and how long for the chicks to fly away? i have 2 eggs on my balcony now. been there less than 2 weeks so far. i can't go on my balcony because it will scare the mother bird away.

  • @The096757 the baby is still there so i dont know when its going to fly away... You can go on your balcony just dont do it at night because the bird wont come back until next morning... But if its daylight it comes back in less than five minutes !

  • @The096757 the little bird just flew away ! Half an hour ago it was there and now i cant find it anywhere... Didnt get to see it flying :/.. Anyway it takes about 5-6 weeks for the babies to grow up and leave the nest ! see ya ..

  • What if it randomly flies away, and with no feathers! XD

  • whut are yew doing to it?! D: it was chillin there all warm and cosy! yew monster.. =|

  • its a female pigeon

  • lol looks like a duck

  • 1 week?!! LOL, what are they feeding him?

  • my cousin has 2 eggs in his balcony lol (pigeon eggs)

  • why don't we see them in the streets? there are pigeons everywhere but where are they reproducing and breding their babies? it's a mystery (:

  • Pigeons prefer to nest high up away from the ground, out of the eyes of potential danger. That's why a lot of people who live in apartment buildings will find pigeons nesting on their balcony.

  • he l00ks like a duckling

  • hahaha that thing is ugly but cute at the same time.

  • ......a baby pigeon is called a squab.A young pigeon,in between being a squab and an adult...is called a squeaker.

  • MMM Soon he will fried and i will be eating him in KFC

  • Hes fat l'il bastard, ain't he? ;D cute.

  • I swear i never even SAW a baby pigeon xD! l0l

first time :). on the internet.

  • @CrostyWalkz hhaha me too :) i always thought that those little brown sparrow looking birds were baby pidgons...i know dumb but yea i looked it up on youtube too

  • no no no dont touch the mother will smell the baby and the mom will kill the baby

  • thats just a myth it is not true at all

Source: i own a bird sanctuary and pick up examine and even take babies away to be hand raised if there parents are unfit but birds have little/no sense of smell

  • what? vultures have a terrific sense of smell.

  • what type of pigeon is it?? looks like a baby jacobin??

  • cuteeeeeeeeeeee

  • that is so cute!

  • this pigeon looks great!!!

  • I'm looking to start raising a pidgeons, but I don't know anything about the subject. Anyone know a good webpage that explains everything in detail?

  • You are a f*cking moron

  • Actually, the smart ones are people who don't do the idiotic stuff like play with nasty animals with bare hands.

  • They only get diseased cause people like your mum throw out disease ridden rubbish and they have no choice but to eat it, if it's just born how does it have a disease?...

  • @tomleger y can you not touch them or what

  • One may say the same of humans.

  • shut up not ifthey are not wild

  • @iaviate1 -Uhh, don't you know it hatched before it could go pick up diseases out in the wild with trash and other diseased birds? It has to hatch clean!

  • @iaviate1 are you serious?!

  • @iaviate1

    douche, stop being a pussy.

  • you have the most beautiful hand i have ever seen.

  • It's not ugly. :( He looks so funky, I just want to kiss his little head. xD

  • "Funky" is a good way to describe the little guy =D...I think I actually just replied to another one of your comments...pigeon lovers unite?!

  • how long does it take take for a egg to hatch

  • 18 days after the 2nd egg is laid.

  • The uglier a pigeon is as a chick, the prettier it will be as an adult. That one will be gorgeous!
