what happens if that same deck bpm is off? when I hit the loop button it slows the sample down

Ok so i did this but when i drop the beats into the sample deck they are too short and only fill half the sample deck. when i make them longer it just compresses them into half of the sample deck...please help

@Reallifetothemax make sure you have "Loop Optimize" checked in the Maschine export options.

@Reallifetothemax No. I just used my ear to "beat match" Maschine's metronome to the BPM of the Traktor deck. Use the 'restart" button on Maschine to cue. Watch at 2:30

@han549 should be the same. Mikro has the exact same software as Maschine. You should be able to drag and drop.

Actually I figured it last night... I had the midi fighter Tsi made for maschine, and that was freezing my maschine always. So I just turned it off, and it's done...

Btw if I wanna get the bpm midi signal from my mixer I just switch to resiving in traktor and change it in ableton as well? Since traktors midi signal is always jumping just a bit up and down...

Up and up? Not sure if I understand...

Even when I run traktor only the controller does the same...:( and my laptop is a new MacBook pro... So I can only think of a wrong maschine or some mapping problem... I'll try it with a different mapping then... That's be bad though coz' I spent quite few hours with the mapping;)

@rigo1911 is your USB port very loose or not getting enough USB power? If you are running into a USB hub that is not powered this could definitely be an issue. if not, I would contact NI tech support to see if there is a reason your Maschine goes dead...never happened to me in almost 3 years now with a Maschine controller prototype.

have a question: so i have maschine and got a bit problem with it... u might know the answer.

so i'm using traktor rooted into ableton and the maschine vst opened that i can drop loops from the masch software... but when i'm djing the maschine controller freezes pretty often... first just the LEDs /out signal/ freeze and few minutes later the hole controller is dead:S if i un- and replug everything goes back to normal... any idea why it happens? thx

@rigo1911 not sure. make sure your computer is on the up and up. Running all three of these programs at the same time might seriously be taxing your system...

@genpatsusensei38 using Traktor and Maschine together is a way to do more creative performing rather than just mixing two records together. You can sync them together to run at the same time or just drop in new samples like I did here.

Hey im havinga problem with the drag,and drop into traktor..it seems the loops arent the same size and an I get huge spaces of silence before and sometimes after the the sample in the sample slot other that that everything works perfectly

Check your "Pattern Length" on Maschine. If its set to 8 bars and you only put in 4 bars of MIDI information that'll happen when you try to export it.

I have been trying this for several hours now. When maschine is playing the loop everything is in sync, as soon as I render the file and put in in my sample deck, it no longer is synced. Traktor either slows or speeds up the loop. Any idea what is happening?

@nismo8319 try making your loop longer, like an 8 bar measure. Sometimes it seems to speed up if the loop is too short. Also, make sure that you have loop optimize checked in Maschine's preferences.

I've synced up my Maschine with the Kontrol S4 using the latest TP2 as they explain it here: traktorbible.

except I don't have an external sound card or a midi cable atm.

Issue no1: the internal clock of traktor is drifting off sync

no2: lower volume of Maschine

no3: crackles and CPU spikes when loading up a new kit or project etc.

@herkules1014 i'm confused. Kontrol S4 is your soundcard. Im not using a MIDI cable in the video. It truly is as simple as having both softwares open at the same time and cueing them with your ear.

@mcsg27 Thanks for your reply, However my goal was to use the maschine as a live input on traktor, So routed to deck D and I've got an audio 2 dj by NI, So now the Maschine is going through that so it takes off the pressure of the laptop. By doing so I managed to solve issue no. 2 and 3. Issue no. 1 still exist but that's NI's job to fix it. It is quite annoying though. I wouldn't be confident using it in a live situtation as it now.

What do U think about the new update of TP2 by the way?

@Daluxer should say the DJ Endo method, as I'm pretty sure he taught them. Endo has the vid on here. You lock it up using midi and the metronomes, although they both use two computers.

Why dont sync the maschine with traktor it would be better sounding and you dont need to think about metronome etc. And you dont end with sounds not exactly synced like in this tutorial...

why not just create your loops Before you go and play at a club ? get them in your sample library within traktor and you're good to go.. so you don't have to make them live isn't that better ? so you can focus on other stuff ? looks like a bit of a hassle, if you have a 13" or 15" laptop you have to switch between programs etc.. extra processing power required etc ....

@audioprofitofficial the idea is you have machine on its own channel anyway so you would do everything he does on machine through the headphones while a song is already playing in traktor, the crowd would only hear the loops once you drag them into traktor.

Great tutorial man! I have been doing something like this in Ableton and Pro Tools for awhile now but i never thought to try it with the traktor sample decks. Just so people know, u can tell maschine to render the parts in audio or midi files to drop in your daw etc. so if u are planning on doing this make sure u have selected the option to render the loops to audio. I beleive its in the same blue box if u click the arrow on the left side.
