Too cool! we're going in May for our 1st year anniversary! My mother-in-law is going with us. She grew up on the islands. Can't wait!! have fun in April.
When my wife and I landed on June 1st on a NWA 757 from Seattle it was a rough landing. It was actually raining when we got there. Kinda scary after dropping through the clouds and being only a few hundred feet off the ground with some turbulence and your making a crosswind landing.
Congrats! We went got engaged at the Hilton Hawaiian Village (Oahu) in Nov.07, then the family came with us in June 08 for the wedding at the chapel at the Hilton Village. This time we're going to Maui for our 1st year anniversary. God bless and have fun!!
@nickdoy A 757 is a Dash 80 (narrow body) sourced planed like the 737..they do not have 2 isles. If you had a flown on one you would know that ..plus 757s and 737s make tons of racket compared to a 767 or 777.
My suggestion? do your research or actually fly before making incorrect calls
only AA people clap when they land Thankfull the flight is allmost over

Looks like you were flying in a 737. I remember flying into Kahului, winds coming off the mountain made for a bumpy approach.

this is actually a 767. 737 don't have the inner ailerons

nickdoy 4 years ago
was it a 757 or a 767, I would think most likely a 767.
davidkapsner2005 4 years ago
No i think it was a 757, it had two aisles.
nickdoy 4 years ago
A 767 has two isles, the 757 has one. However, I can tell by the wing, it's a 767.

Clapping after landing is an interesting occurance.
I miss Hawaii, but not the long-arsed flight. I like flying, but 10 hours later... it behins to come back to bite mentally.
