  • Aww, Ringo plays the Tambourine, bless :)

  • The Beatles

playing at Otley Courthouse, Otley on 25 feb 2012

    o_O

  • this is a great song, the beatles transcend music, it is at a level noone else can reach, it is pure once in 10 lifetimes magic what they did in about 10 years !!

  • @Jazzawray I compare them to Lynard Skynard, who had three great songs, many very good songs, and a few mediocre songs in their career - bout what the Beatles did on every album.

  • Awesome song. I think George was an incredibly talented man. Just watched the Scorsese biography on HBO and now have even more respect for the man. Check out Long, Long, Long for the most underrated Harrison song.

  • @phuzzy138 , Hey man, I was just doing a massive search for that song, heard at end of part two of new martin scorsesee Harrison film during credits and It Blew My Mind as I haven't heard it in 30 years and couldn't pinpoint if it was a solo or Beatles. The searches were a joke. But at last, Found it. Blows me away to another time, 9 years old riding in a camper above a ford F100 cab crusing down a colorado highway through mountains while "Sneaking" some beatles through religious freak parents.

  • @phuzzy, Let me explain, My parents thought the Beatles were Devil Worshipers, so sticking a radio shack tape deck in a pillow in camper top was the only way to hear such VILE Music like Long Long Long. LOL. I gues thats waht drove me to tune in, drop outcid, and tune a les paul at an early age. I me me mine was definately a tie for favorite George song, but I get all tranced out when I hear long long long while winding down a highway and swaying side to side 8 feet up with crap sway bars.

  • esta es una de las mejores canciones que escuche en mi vida

  • painting at 1:21 is awsome

  • George's voice is so hot. ;)

  • Herp Derp,

    Indians = India

    Native Americans = America

    :)

  • namaste.........

  • indians, not native americans

  • wooo! q loco hijo

  • I think you just googled "indians" and used all the pictures that could fit in your hard drive. Because not many Native American gods have four arms. Good luck finding a new hard drive!

  • You may have confused your Indians, but let's face it. Both kinds make really trippy pictures.

  • You can never have a wrong indian :)

  • I love the painting at 2:08

  • The Beatles are coming back, but not as the cute mop tops we saw the first time. This time, we will see them for the prophets they really were and hear the spiritual and truth side of their music. It will change the world again. Go to TruthContest (dot) com and open The Present, then read the section about The Beatles. Pass this on to every Beatles fan you know.

  • I love that they actually had the balls try anything and everything, and succeeded.

And that's what we're missing in today's music, or what's left of it. It's all the same crap.

    Beatles forever.

  • @sosodefgurl1 You got that right....totally. Thank you for putting that out there :)

  • The Yellow Submarine \O/ When George gets introduced !!

Amazing song , George was my favourite Beatle ! :(

So sad , he left when we needed him the most .

  • they must have been VERY high when they made the song, but it sounds good

  • wrong type of indians, Hazel.

  • ahahahahahahahaha. Whoever put the clips together is a total american doofus

  • hey this was in yellow submarine

  • the first time thath i hear this song i whas ike hypnotized... i whas asleep !

  • ...

  • LOVE THE BEATLES

  • drives me crazy...

    Love love love the Beatles...

    Guys PEACE & LOVE

  • this is my favorite song next to blackbird and hey jude and all together now

  • Para ser un principiante en la cítara George dejó buena impresión...

  • This song actually does sound like it's from India, because of the drums (or "tibla", as they're called in reference to the kind that's played). I read somewhere that none of the Beatles played anything... George recorded this with a guy on sitar and a guy on the tibla.

  • @dudestr5552 well certainly George got lessions on the sitar when they were in india, i think ringo got lessons on the drums.

  • @TherealMrChristophel I read somewhere that Ringo isn't doing the drums on this song - unless I'm mistaken, George is the only Beatle to appear on this recording (they hired some guy to play the tabla, an Indian drum, to give it that Indian "feel".)

  • @dudestr5552 i think that is correct it says in my book that george was the only one playing i think he did this for another song to

  • @liverpoolforeve Check out "Within You, Without You" from the "Sgt. Pepper's" album. It's another song with the sitar and the Indian drums, and George is probably the only one playing on that.

  • @dudestr5552 oh ya i love that song it's awsome i really like george's sitar and the influences they got from india and the drugs =)

  • Cosmic consciousness.

  • ummm, wrong Indians. just saying.

  • @billaaaayyyy how are they the wrong indians..?

  • @Midnightsnack456 Native Americans are portrayed in this slideshow whereas Indians (from the country of India) should be. Have a nice day :)

  • @billaaaayyyy ah. didn't catch that.

  • @billaaaayyyy In the end it's all the same, all colours, all creatures, all beings trapped in tiny grains of sand. Washing down the road.

  • @Vulgureboy too right

  • 0:35. Indians, your doin it wrong

  • LSD MUSIC!!@!1

  • Some of us remember this from the day it was released....who the fuck are "the Jonas brothers"???

    No-fucking-body!

  • nice use of psychadelic album covers (hipgnosis?) its a real loss to people that the artwork and imagery is lost as an artform with the change from albums to discs to downloads.

  • How beautiful are the images...!

  • why cant beatle sons be longer

  • @fl00dsm0k3 That's why there is Pink Floyd <3

  • 0:34

Failed picture. That's a Native American.

  • Shouldn't it be "love you too"? Because too means also and to means receiving... I don't know. I failed english.

  • @marcushelbling Well you are right if that's what he meant like i also love you, but it is thought he meant it like the statement "I'd love you to" just cutting out the I'd OR he was just being an individual and not having to follow the rules of english

  • @TheOneCalledPRock or maybe he just in't great at english, thats like saying people who are illiterate are 'individuals', just because he's a musician he somehow isn't allowed to make mistakes is that it?

  • @marcushelbling It's ment to be like that.

  • i'm new to youtube and have just been watching the beatles' videos. is this where i write something good about the beatles and bad about the jonas brothers, and then receive lots of thumbs up by self-important freethinkers (just kidding, that was sarcasm, i know you aren't the brightest bunch).

  • my favorite part of the song is 0:35

  • Why the Beatles are better than the Jonas brothers;

    -They have had more hits

-They set the foundations for rock and roll

-They worked for a proper music company

-They incorporated many different styles of music, and had hits with all of them

    Shall I carry on?

  • regardless of how famous the beatles are, this song sucks...basically stolen from another culture, not inspired. p.s. if you don't like the jonas brothers don't listen to to them... no one is forcing you to.

  • @semicolonman

You like jonas fucktards and you think you've got an opinion on this song or any other beatles song?? :S Or generally ANY good song? You're a funny one. Also, interesting opinion. So, if it's "stolen" from another culture, it's not worth anything?? Hah. If that's the case, at least the beatles "stole" (lol) from the fucking indian culture (how many thousand years??). The jonas faggots stole from the asshole culture. You know, they imitate the sound of farts and watery shits.

  • @PrinzEugenMCMLXXXIII first I never said that I liked any jonas brothers song, I was saying if you don't like them don't listen to them. That way you don't have to bitch on youtube about how much they suck. second the beatles aren't the greatest band in the world. third I never said that the song was not worth anything...just that people think this is a revolutionary song, except that it's not revolutionary at all, just taken from the indian culture. go play some more guitar hero little man

  • @semicolonman

Of course I won't listen to them, but I'm free to say how much they suck and need to be executed and the people who listen to them are fucking idiots. I never said they are the greatest band in the world. Lol, you said "this song sucks". Hmm, when you think it's worth something, what do you say? Haha nice explanation. I don't think it's revolutionary either, but since it's taken (not stolen now :P) from the indian culture it's not? :S I play the real guitar, dummy.

  • @PrinzEugenMCMLXXXIII your comment makes no sense...

  • @semicolonman

    1. I never said they... (they=the beatles)

    2. Lol, this song... (First you say it sucks, then you say you never said it was worthless)

    2. Haha nice... (I mean the fact that it's inspired by indian music has nothing to do with being revolutionary).

    There you go.

  • @PrinzEugenMCMLXXXIII it still doesn't make any sense... and the sentence structure isn't the problem.

  • @semicolonman

Oh, alright. Then there's nothing wrong with my comment in any way. Iit's just your extremely limited ability of perception. Can't help you there.

  • @PrinzEugenMCMLXXXIII there's nothing wrong with my perception, it's your inability to form a complete thought that is preventing me from understanding what you are trying to say.

  • @semicolonman

Nothing wrong with my comment or my thought. If you can't understand, you're stupid. Simple.

  • @PrinzEugenMCMLXXXIII alright this is my last comment...it's pretty clear that you just are not capable of seeing how fragmented all the ideas that you posted are, and now, defeated you have resorted to name calling. It's pretty clear that you know you were wrong and now are just arguing petty details so you don't have to admit it. No point for me to go on with this string of posts so later.

  • @semicolonman

For each of your replies, there is an equivalent answer in my comment. No, I don't think I'm wrong, I guess that even you don't believe that, it's just your little game to talk nonsense so that you can get away when you've got nothing to say. What name calling, you dummy? Don't be a bitch, it's not like I unleashed the plague of profanity upon you, I said IF you don't understand, you're stupid. :S Actually, no point in you posting a stupid comment on this vid in the first place.

  • @semicolonman dude you have the best comeback EVER!! the only person that would still argue is a retard! I salute you.

  • @semicolonman "stolen from another culture" welcome to America, dude. The Beatles were one of the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed acts in the history of popular music. They influenced and shaped so much of American culture and you know what? They're from England.. a totally different nation and culture believe it or not. So don't think we can't see your ignorance.

lol jonas brothers wtf. its funny seeing people fight on youtube.

  • @quailchow that's just it though, just because they were commercially successful doesn't mean that they were any good. They were revolutionary in the sense that they took American rock and roll/blues and turned it into fluttery pop music with nonsensical lyrics. If you want to say that they beatles are revolutionary than yes, i guess they are, because without the beatles than we wouldn't have bands backstreet boys, britney spears, or any other pop stars idolized by masses of people.

  • @semicolonman in your earlier posts you at least tried to appear objective but your true feelings come through in this post.

  • @twinflame93 well of course I wasn't being objective, I was saying that they sucked. Can't get any more subjective than that.

  • @semicolonman I disagree wholeheartedly. what you have to understand with these psycadelic songs is that they were written under the influence of LSD, but they also did some full on ballads ( Maxwell's Sliver Hammer, Elinor Rigby, Obla-Dee-Obla-Da)

  • @semicolonman we also wouldn't have The Kinks, Pink Floyd, The Monkees, Jethro Tull, Badfinger, Oasis, Klatu, David Bowie or Nirvana. Celebrity Beatles fans include Ozzy Ozborne, Jim Carrey, Bruce Springsteen, Micheal Jackson, Conan O'Brian, Elton John, J.K. Rowling, Leo Dicaprio, Mike Myres, Bon Jovi, Gene Simmons, Tom Cruise, Oprah Winfrey, Stevie Wonder, Sting, Sylvester Stallone and Tom Hanks.

  • @quailchow "stolen from another culture" welcome to culture. dude.

  • @AhanfordSangster90 trust me it was the first guitar made in Persia and then it was branched into an indian version

  • i think its great that they inspired by an other culture than british music, and they incorporated with their style, voice of Mac Cartney on indian music its such an interesting mix

not much artist do that nowadays, especially mainstream artist they dont take risk like that

  • Words can't even describe how amazing this song really is. George was the man!

  • good trip :-)

  • Ringo plays a mean tambourine!! :)

  • sitar doesn't come from Indians or Native Americans it comes from persia

  • @pwnage332 sitar does nt "come" from persia they are based on an indian instrument called veena influenced by persian lutes....... they originate from india

  • @sunilmrthy no the sitar is made and originated the guitar in Iran. That's why it's call sitar (seh-tar) which in persian means three strings) so it does not come from any indian instrument it's Persian

  • the sitar is simply exquisite

  • @worldcitizenforever I was talking about george harrison but thats also true

  • Is the title supposed to reference Love Me Do? I can't think of any other reason why it would be called "Love You To" and not "Love To You."

  • I can tell George probably directed the musical instruments. He was really into Hindu culture

  • If all of the Beatles where alive, and they where young, everyone would love the Beatles again. I know it for sure!

  • @ItsRoozz Pretty much everyone loves the Beatles now.

  • @DoGeeseSeeGod24

Not everyone, the most of the people at my school (all the people i think) hate the beatles

    =C

  • @ItsRoozz Wow, that's a damn shame. Where I live most people recognize their musical brilliance. And I'm pretty sure they're still the most popular band in multiple age groups. Too bad it's like that where you live though...

  • @DoGeeseSeeGod24

Yeah, here where I live there's no taste of music ( I live in Holland =D)

They only listen to lady GaGa or the Jonas B...

    poor people

they don't know there's alot more music than only the simple ones

  • @ItsRoozz

I don't understand this comment. Why would anyone care what

"most of the people at you school"

    think?

  • the beginning is super trippy. love it!!!!!

  • first song that does NOT contain John or Paul, and yet, its still fucking amazing

  • Namaste...I fell in love with sitar in this song a long time ago. Thank you, George. :-)

  • my 3 yearold brother loves this song

everyday he begs me to play this song

sometimes he grabs my cds and shows me them and tell me to play it

i love Ethan and i love the beatles so much, i love this song

  • @thebeatlesfan1233 that's cute

  • @thebeatlesfan1233 You have a sitar ??

  • @thebeatlesfan1233 I wonder if he understands the lyrics O.O

  • @thebeatlesfan1233 It is a sign. He is begging. His soul is wanting. His inner Self recognizes the transcendental vibrations inherent in the music, and they send his Self exploding into a charisma of passion.

  • This was the first song that George wrote with the sitar in mind. The sitar was featured on Norwegian Wood, and in George's words, it was really just by accident. No Beatles performed on this except for George, session musicians, and Anil Bhagwat on tabla.

  • @r4scuache

Ever heard Shpongle? There's some good modern music with eastern influences

  • I want a Sitar!

  • great, great, great! :D

  • So does anyone think George was the first to introduce 'Bollywood' to rock music?? & wasn't he the first Beatle who introduced Christian rock to music lovers??

  • @4fulsealteam christian rock? He made songs for hinduism

  • @TheImmigrantsong I know that now, but back then all my friends & I were singing My Sweet Lord @ church way back when it first came out...it's spritual! Thnx!

  • Look, its one god, understood in different ways. By the way, didnt you notice that in the song My sweet lord it is sayed "Hale Krishna" ?

  • @TheImmigrantsong Of course, we just sang halaluya instead..It 's all how u believe as long as u believe..I do! So God bless you.. Hey if u want check out a song I wrote ..Tiger Woods B.A.S.T.A.R.D. & that's just a song too, not to b mean but just to sing about cheating & I write Christian rock songs so I do both...I got the spiritual influence from George..So I do both...

  • oh sorry its Hare Krishna

  • @4fulsealteam George was not Christian. He was a devout Hindu.

  • @BrokenSouls I know that now, but when it came out we all sang it & thought it was God, but it's just spiritual! I'm gonna post a video response, a song I wrote called 'A Piece Of My Heart" it's about loved ones in heaven & I would like to dedicate to George! Peace out! Hope u accept my vid! Thnx:)

  • @BrokenSouls Hey, my name is Robin, too!

  • @Kesonius Salvador Dali painted some AWESOME shit. I have had the honor, and luck, to have seen all of his most well known pieces while I was on an LSD trip. "The temptation of St. Anthony" and "Spain" are two of my favs

  • Could someone please direct me to the picture or tell me the name of it that is shown at 1:03. It would be most appreciated!

  • Most probably its a painting from Salvador Dali

  • g'shit :)

  • I was 8 when I listened to the beatles...

  • I was 5 months.. and I still do :O

  • Cool! Salvador Dali!!!

    :D

  • man i still cant believe that i watched this video on lsd. this is a wonderful video and the pictures are farout man. thanks for making the video.

  • wordddddd

  • love this song, i heard it on a mv and found this. Brilliant pictures.

  • not to be a douche bag or w/e but those are pictures of native americans, not indians, indians from india is where the sitar comes from, native americans come from well america. GREATTTTTTTTT SONGGG THOUGH! just bought revolver last summer, greatest album eva!!!

  • Hahah.. that made me laugh HAAAARD!

  • im 13. i only have 15 songs, but im trying to get as many as possible. im just too busy/lazy to download sometimes XD

  • damn damn damn i love this beat! :D

  • The Beatles will forever be my all time favorite band. =] So gifted.

  • i have like, 300 songs on my ipod =P im 13, fortunatly, my parents are letting me get some of the lps

  • i love it when younger kids get into classic rock! it's awesome! i'm 18 and i love me some beatles. :D

  • debes tomar el camino correcto para llegar alli,ya las puertas se estan cerrando, solo te esperan a ti para guiarte a hacia alla,no los dejes esperando

  • I'm 16, and The Fab Four are pretty much the only thing I listen to. :) Love them!

  • same here all i listen to is beatles i have 209 of the beatles songs on my ipod

  • i think only teenagers are qualified to talk about what most teenagers listen to...

    beatles pwn disney

  • amazing images and song, I can`t get tired of listen it

  • Yeah im only 14, i love the beatles, don't like all that disney corporate stuff.... Definitley the best band ever.

  • Hey same here!

    Peace, dude!

  • @Rbrown996 even if your only 14 doesnt mean you have to write that to make it seem soooo impossible, honestly, its no surprise that a 14 year old likes the beatles, to tell you the truth and dont take this the wrong way im not trying to make you feel bad at all.

  • @Rbrown996

I grew up listening to The Beatles, Rolling Stones, and the like and I have always loved their music. To hell with the "popular" crap they are putting out. No one will remember them in five years.

By the way, have you ever seen Yellow Submarine the movie? Watch it. You'd like it.

  • @TheMoonCrystal I saw the yellow submarine movie, it was like being high without drugs

  • @Commentator732 I saw it when I was a little kid. I was so upset when Cousin Oz accidently taped over it.

  • @TheMoonCrystal "ive got a hole in me pocket" great movie

  • @Rbrown996 yea disney is these days are engineered actors and musicians with overly edited songs

  • is this about yoko? if it is im gonna kick her ass! its her fault y they broke up!!!!

  • why would it? Harrison wrote it.

  • well, im sorry if i dont no who wrote wat ok

  • thats false, its not yokos fault they broke up. sure she didnt do them any good, but it was not her who made them split. when you make 12 albums in less then ten years, you have to constantly be around your band members, and they got sick of each other. george was tired of the spotlight, and ringo was tired of paul and john, and they were tired of each other.

  • amazing song i'm only 20 and think 60's music is amazing!

  • im 13 and i freaking love it.

  • Damn love to hear that!! Damn teenagers they all love shitty music today it's just great to hear there are still the ones who appreciate what's good :D
