Most of the nervous, fidgety people I know are... the weird, intelligent sort, you know? Actually he reminds me of a friend of mine here, nervous a lot and can't stand still but has never done drugs. Thinks it's sort of dumb, but he definitely gives the impression. The actual addicts I've known (to the hard drugs that actually make you a mess) didn't fidget continuously. They had random spasms, or were constantly itchy. But I've only known three so I donno!

When he did interviews when he between the ages of 19 and 21 he was very youthful, funny, relaxed, articulate and sassy. Since, Brokeback the nervous energy starts to show up and the hand gestures are more prominent..Good grief..he had nothing to prove, I wished he would have realized that.

While some of the other videos do show him scratching etc., its important to note that Heath was taking Xanax, an anti-anxiety. Google "xanax" and "itchies". Itchies are a common SIDE EFFECT of the drug. The ME confirmed the lack of heroin/coke in his tox...so stop labeling him a meth/cokehead. He wasn't or they'd have found some in his apt or tox. People need to recognise 'Anxiety' as the nervous disorder it is. You feel uncomfortable in your own skin, 'fidity', unable to keep still. JENAYWARD..I KNOW I AGREE TOTALLY WITH YOU!!That voice,that face,that accent,THAT SMILE..He was so REAL!So Alive!I can't believe he is gone.I must admitt I have a mad crush on Heath & Andy Gibb (passed in 1988)they resembled each other..great looking,from Australia gone too soon.Andy was 30 & Heath was 28.Both had signs of depression.This breaks my heart.Been watching all his movies..Too Sad :'( R.I.P Heath "LEGEND"

Looks to me like he's just a person who is animated and "talks with his hands". While some of the other videos do show him scratching etc., its important to note that Heath was taking Xanax, an anti-anxiety. Google "xanax" and "itchies". Itchies are a common SIDE EFFECT of the drug. The ME confirmed the lack of heroin/coke in his tox...so stop labeling him a meth/cokehead. He wasn't or they'd have found some in his apt or tox. God Bless you, Heath. The world's less splendid without you.

People need to recognise 'Anxiety' as the nervous disorder it is. You feel uncomfortable in your own skin, 'fidity', unable to keep still. Its so sad, they poor guy just wanted a decent rest and it killed him. Finally the truth is out and its time the public and media stopped being judge and jury. Let in RIP and let his family grieve in peace. His soul lives on in his movies and his child, lets enjoy that.

Truer words couldnt have been spoken..I felt extremely bad about his dying n everything..but like you said all he wanted was a decent nights rest and he never got it. It saddens me. Heath was awesome.

I don't understand why everyone speculates he took his life intentionally... He obviously suffers from anxiety with all the fidgiting and medication he was aledgidly on. Maybe the poor guy just needed a decent rest and took too many seditives in desperation. Give the guy a break he can hardly defend himself. Such a waste, really pulls at the heart strings

I think Michele Williams will regret that she did not help his sadness, she kicked him out and he is obviously a very sensitive guy! She must be callous, but now she will have to re-think her mistakes. He obviously loved his daughter and wanted his family life to work, Michele should have gotten him help. So sad! What a lovely voice Heath! WOW!!!

It's not fair to assume she didn't try to help him. I'm sure she did, but you can't help someone who isn't willing to help himself. It's obvious they really loved each other, and seemed to have something quite special.

I agree! You can try to get people help all you want, but ultimately it only works, when the person himself decides to accept the help.
I feel for Michelle, especially after all the reports and the media circus surounding his tragic death. Most of all I am sad for their daughter, who will always wonder why this happened.

If you look at his past interviews, you can see he is always moving around, shifting positions etc. I believe he is simply nervous and doesn't know what to say, I mean he was always disturbed by the paparazzi - remember the water pistol incident??

there was really no need for this post. the world is forever going to be niave to the realities of life, so theres no point in enforcing your one man stand against something that would inevitably happen. people die in africa every day, i know, i lived there. Its a damn shame but who are you to be judgemental against these people? Nobody would care if you or i died except the ones closest to us...it just so happens heath ledger...by becoming famous shared his life with everybody.

I agree 100%. It doesn't mean his life meant more than anyone else's but he is a celebrity. He did touch many people through his work and we have the right to pay tribute and respects to him in any way we wish. And on an added note. I do believe that Americans have done alot to help and honor the people of africa though the years so the points tried to make by lidia76 were rather pointless if you ask me. thats all RIP Mr. Ledger

There's absolutely nothing wrong w/ making a movie about something that exists in this world. There's absolutely nothing wrong w/ Heath Ledger and Jake portraying that either. I think it takes tremendously talented actors to pull something like that off and not mind all the hate and judgment that comes w/ it. R.I.P Heath, one of my favorite actors. Definitely one of the best.

Poor guy - if only someone would have caught on to the warnings signs. Jack Nicholson warned him against taking the medication he was taking... if only someone intervened.
